I wish i had found this video before setting the choke, idle speed and mix. The title of the video should be updated so it comes up in search results.

carburatorist is an art that is disappearing in Italy. and italian carbs are becoming an american thing, it baffles me to see on your site a DAT carb for 240 bucks when in Italy it costs 500. well done sir.

I notice that Webers always seem to be installed with one barrel for each cylinder like a motorcycle. Are these designed to be on individual runners, or can they be set up on a manifold with a common plenum? Basically I'm talking about the side draft units with the velocity tubes.

Hi David. I have the same problem with my speedboat with a Volvo AQ151 (B25) engine. The engine seems to be running well when throttle is open, but in idle I can turn the idle mixture screw to the bottom and the engine just runs better/more stable. It also looks as the gas/air mix is to rich, as I experience some black smoke and soot. Is the carb overflowing, and will this give the symptoms described here (engine does not stop when the idle mixture screw is turned fully in)? Perhaps too much pressure from the fuel pump (I use an electric pump that should have the correct pressure for this carb - and not high pressure..)?

I have a 1986 Dodge Ram 50 Sport 2.6L 4g54 electric choke.. I want to make as much power as possible but wonder if the 38/38 is too much carb. 2.6L should be OK right? Its not like its 2.0. Do you think the stock out of the box Weber 38/38 DGES electric choke synchronous carb will work on my truck? Thanks for video.

yes. I have a 88 mighty max with the 2.0 g63b motor with the 32/36 Dgev. Weber . A 38/38 will work fine for your 2.6

DGV is simpliest carb ever, just look into it and you will get it. idle jets are in the sides, air jets are on the top and main jets are in the bottom of fuel bowl
