Guys, Vhagar is such a big deal in this show not only because she's the biggest living dragon at this point, but she's also the og dragon from The Conquest! I mean, Aegon conquered Westeros with his two sister-wifes: Rhaenys and Visenia. All three rode dragons. Aegon rode Balerion The Black Dread ( the biggest one), Rhaenys's dragon was Meraxes and Visenia rode Vhagar (the second largest after Balerion). Balerion and Meraxes are gone at this point, but Vhagar is the last one still living. So, getting Vhagar means not only getting power but also prestige. It's like, you have a dragon who is a war veteran and who conquered Westeros... 😳🔥,🖤

I wish the show established dragons more. Its so ironic and mid that we get entire show dedicated to dragons but we are not really given necessary information and important facts. The plot should have shown how important each dragon is and what each of them means but it is left unsaid so when we (i mean ppl who haven't read the books) react to dragons, all we can see is that they are big, one might look more dangerous than the other etc.

@ningPRTeam Hell no. He wasnt a good king, but far from the worst. Daeron, Baelor and Aegon IV were far worse, not to mention Aerys, the Mad King. Daeron took Westeros to war for no good reason, causing the deaths of thousands, Baelor locked his family in a vault, promoted a child to High Septon, wasted endless money on building ridiculous septs while ignoring his duties as King, and Aegon caused endless strife, pit the Brackens and Blackwoods against each other, fathered endless bastards, created the Blackfyre line, gave away the Targaryens ancestral sword, and his actions directly resulted in 5 civil wars (The 5 Blackfyre rebellions). And we all know what Aerys did!
Viserys wasnt a good king, but he was no where near the worst. Viserys' inaction allowed the Dance of Dragons to come to fruition, Otto was the main reason for it imo.

Otto's family is super important in westeros. The Hightowers rule over Oldtown which was historically the biggest and richest city in westeros until Aegon built King's Landing. This makes them ones of the richst families on the continent (not as much as the Lannisters and the Velaryons tho). Oldtown is also the headquarters for the Faith of the Seven at this point in history, which gives them influence over the main religion in westeros. The order of the Maesters is also headquartered there with the Citadel being located in Oldtown. Oldtown is kinda the "main city" of westeros besides King's Landing, which makes the Hightowers were powerful and influential. They are also one of the oldest Houses in the Realm, predating even the current Liege lords of their province (The Reach), The Tyrells.

The guy in the middle was spot on when one of the others asked how anyone could sympathize with Alicent: she was forced to marry someone around twice her age to please her father, carry his children and care for them (we've never seen Viserys interact with his younger kids in any meaningful way, btw), also: she was lied to by her best friend and stood up for said best friend which led to her father not being the Hand anymore and had to leave her, Larys intentionally interpreted her frustration as "kill the Hand and his son" which makes him have a leverage over her. She was used sexually as a brood mare for years and her father convinced her that Rhaenyra would eventually have to kill her children, leading to fear and paranoia. I am far from agreeing with all of Alicent's choices, but I DO understand them. Especially here: her child lost an eye because he succeeded in claiming a dragon. The child's father is content with basically ignoring this, not even listening to all of the kids and trying to understand what happened, and I fully sympathize with Alicent's anger and desperation.

For anyone that thinks that Aemond stole the dragon, it’s actually impossible. The dragons aren’t pasted down like vases. Daemon claimed his uncles Dragon, Caraxes and Rhaenys claimed meleys, who once belonged to Daemon and viserys’s mother. Vhagar had two riders before Laena, one of which was Aemonds grandfather. Aemond and Rhaena had the same amount of right to claim her. Aemond just got there first and there was no guarantee anyway that Vhagar would’ve accepted rhaena.

    • @govinddas7876
      @govinddas7876 Před 3 měsíci +1

well thats kinda misleading. Dragons are passed down in a certain way. You can track the passing of Balerion for instance and see that it was passed down from Aegon the conqueror to his son and all the way down to Viserys.

    • @jordanrivers5825
      @jordanrivers5825 Před 3 měsíci +1

@@govinddas7876 no it’s not misleading because yes, all Targaryen‘s have a certain amount of opportunity and claim to a riderless dragon but maegor and Viserys didn’t get the ride balerion just because aegon did. They shared targaryen blood, but baelerion did not acknowledge man made inheritance rituals when forming the bond between dragon and rider. He just saw the targaryen blood and if that was the case, every Targaryen would pass down their dragon upon their death to their child, but it doesn’t work that way or else Meleys would’ve went to Daemon and Caraxes would’ve went to rhaenys. Rhaena could’ve very well claimed Vhagar but she was not entitled to it based on the fact she was Laenas daughter, but that she had Valyrian blood. She had the same amount of right as aemond did because they’re both targaryen‘s. Anyways even if it was passed down, by that logic Laena had no right as a Velaryon but she is Valyrian making her able to claim Vhagar. Rhaena and Aemond share a grandfather that rode Vhagar but that doesn’t mean it automatically goes to either of them, it was Vhagars choice. That was never even the issue amongst the adults. None of the adults cared or said that it was wrong that aemond claimed Vhagar because half the Targaryens in the room had to claim their dragon. The issue was always that he mentioned the boys being bastards. If dragons did recognize the parent child bond, Syrax never would’ve thrown Joffrey off her back, killing him.

@@jordanrivers5825 I agree to a certain extent. And I even believe Aemond wasn't wrong. He technically isn't wrong. But that does not mean he's not an asshole for claiming Vhagar in the middle of the night while the family including the girls were mourning their dead mother.
When we're talking about the 'inheritance' of dragons, we're talking about two different things.
1 - the natural instict of a dragon to accept a rider when one presents itself. Aemond has done no wrong here.
2- The human ritual of inheritance from parent to child. If the family were to wake the next morning, I would assume they would allow Rhaena to have a chance first, because it feels the most natural to do so. Aemond is wrong here.

I don’t think he was thinking of “I have to get to Vhagar before Rhaena does. I’m stealing their mothers dragon” I think he was thinking “this is my only shot. I have to do it under the cover of night because mother will stop me if I don’t.” He was 10 years old and his desperation was so strong it was literally life or death for him. a dragon is not a car, you can't "steal" it. Dragons in the lore have near-human if not greater than human intelligence, there is no such thing as "someone's dragon", there is only a bond that can be made once a new rider makes the act of claiming the dragon. Dragons are not heirlooms, they do not pass along a single lineage, whoever tries to claim the dragon runs the risk of the dragon not wanting them as their rider and killing them right then and there. Honestly I keep seeing people blaming Aemond in this situation, but I do not think it was his fault, at least not entirely, and all of this situation started because his cousins and nephews went after him and they were the first to punch and make accusions. That and the adults who seem to neglect to tell them that a dragon isn't a thing they pass on, the dragon chooses his rider.
Aemond since he was born, always was taught that Rhaenyra's children are bastards and shouldn't have any claim to the throne, add to that fact of them having a dragon and him not, which is a birthright to any targaryen, and Alicent literally teaching him he is more targaryen/have more rights than his nephews, plus the bullying, we have here the result.
The kids have being feeling/taught/seeing how the adults react to one another, and they copy them. If you see in this episode, despite the bullying, Aemond gives a sympathetic smile to Jace because he knows Jace is suffering because of Ser Harwin's death. But the moment he claims Vhagar and he finds his nephews (plus the girls but I think what triggers him is Jace and Luke) being hostile against Aemond, he feels he is being accused/bullied one more time, regardless if he has or not a dragon, he feels that Jace and Luke will always be against him. Almost everyone, who hadn't any healthy exposure and do not know how to deal with their own feelings or how to deal with a delicate situations where accusions are being made (and let's not forget he is still a child too), their first mechanism of defence is to save themself by hurting back, that is what happened to Aemond and eventually with all of kids. All were suffering, hurting and not knowing how to deal with their emotions so they react physically.
For Aemond, this is his bullies who always were ready to laugh because he didn't have a dragon, and now that he has one, they come after him because they don't like it too that he had claimed a dragon.
There is no winning, in Aemond's perpective, they will always find a way to dislike him, to laugh or to attack him.
Though obviously, Aemond too escalate the things, but just like Jace did by bring a knife to the fight.
But for me, this is all fault of the adults that surrounded these kids : Starting with Otto and his schemes, ending with Alicent and her fears and envy. Viserys with his neglectful way towards his children with Alicent and his favouritism towards Rhaenyra, and Rhaenyra who never try to have any relationship with her siblings who had nothing to do with her problems with Alicent and Viserys. If she only had a nice relationship with them, to encourage them to have a friendship with her sons, perhaps this could had being avoided. But it is what it is. 🤷‍♀️
I mean I am team neutral with inclination for Rhaenyra because she is the heir, but there is no denial that all this people are wrong and they managed to bring their kids to their own problems and eventual their demise.

Honestly I dont blame for Alicents reaction to the situation either, if my son was permanently mauled by his relatives, my husband refused to take any action, and then his sister demanded that he be tortured, I would probably do more than just a cut on her arm.

      @Hania2207 Před 6 měsíci +8

@tatumgallahair7729 I totally agree with you. If it was my son, how could I be calm in this situation?
I mean, I think the show made just an excellent scene here. Two mothers trying to defend their kids and also with just a deep hurtful past.
If you put yourself in Rhaenyra's shoes, in part you can understand her actions, because she is in her mother bear mode, Luke took an eye of a prince of the realm and he could pay an ultimate price if she doesn't do anything and having exposition of the bastardy of her sons is a danger subject, so she defends them as much as she could with everything she can use, but she was to harsh and even put some of her personal conflict with Alicent towards Aemond : "he should be questioned sharply", afterall she knew who was whispering this informations to Aemond and his siblings, her target was Alicent and she wanted to stop her. But by this action only made Aemond more devoted to his mother and to the green cause.
On the other side, there is Alicent with her son without an eye and no one is defending him. In Alicent perspective, Otto's words were proven in this very moment, Rhaenyra would kill her siblings after she is queen without a second thought. And obviously, Viserys doesn't help when he doesn't care, he does nothing besides always defending Rhaenyra and even going far by questioning his injury son without caring for his pain. Alicent could no longer endure what she sees as a shameful behaviour of Rhaenyra and the neglect of Viserys, but she also fails to understand that it is the world, its rules and her own father who made her to have a life she does not wanted it and deep down she hates it.
I just love this episode and all of this scene. 😅 so much to peel, so many perpectives it is like an onion.

Yea when I first watched season 1 I was sort've on the bash Aemond bandwagon as well cuz I thought to myself he did "steal" the dragon, but honestly after realizing how badly they tormented him for not owning a dragon it only makes sense that he would go out and claim one lol, and as you stated there's no such thing as inheriting a dragon. A dragon must be claimed by the rider.

    • @Hania2207

@@olavu11 Yes, no dragon is a thing to be passed to father to son. If Vhagar didn't want Aemond, make sure we would know that. Aemond would be roasted on the spot, just like it had happened to others. If a dragon was passed as an inheritance, then Caraxes wouldn't be Daemon's, but instead Rhaenys' and Meleys wouldn't be Rhaenys', but it would be Daemon's or Viserys', etc etc. For me, Vhagar has a type of rider, which is a person with the boldest personality (to Visenya, Baelon, Laena, and Aemond all have that in common and probably other similar traits). Rhaena is a child much more gentle, if perhaps it was Baela who haven't a dragon, Baela who has a much more Daemon's personality, perhaps Vhagar would accepted her but I am of opinion that Rhaena, Vhagar wouldn't accept her. That and very likely Laena took the twins to fly with her, Vhagar knew them since they were in Laena's womb, if Vhagar had any inclination to have Rhaena has her rider, she wouldn't have accepted Aemond.
It is not the Targaryens who choose a full-grown dragon to claim. They may try to claim it, but in the end, it is the dragon's willing power that chooses to accept them or not, not the way around. Ultimately, I would say that we and the Targaryens say wrong. It is the dragon who claims its rider and accepts him or her.

    Dragon Lore:
A dragonrider can only bond with one dragon in their lifetime, a dragonrider cannot ride multiple dragons. Once a dragon is bonded with a rider, they cannot bond without another until that dragonriders death. Laena Velaryon didn't bond with Vhagar until after the death of Prince Baelon (Visery & Daemon's father). Aemond is able to bond with Vhagar now that Laena is dead.
Dragons are not passed from parent to child. Did Rhaena (Daemon and Laena's daughter) expect to claim Vhagar? Yes. (The other daughter, Baela, already has a dragon that hatched named Moondancer). However, before Laena Velaryon, Vhagar was riden by Baelon (see above). Another example is Caraxes the Bloodwyrm (Daemon's dragon), who was previously ridden by Prince Aemon (Princess Rhaenys' father).
The three dragons you see flying away at the end of the episode are Sunfyre (known as Sunfyre the Golden, Aegon's mount), Dreamfyre (Helaena's mount), and of course Vhagar.
    High Valyrian Traslations:
    Dohaeras - obey/serve
    Lykiri - calm/calm down
    Soves - fly
    Fun Fact:
All of Viserys' children with Alicent had to claim existing dragons (Aegon claimed Sunfyre, Helaena claimed Dreamfyre, and Aemond claims Vhagar in this episode. Even their fourth child [I don't believe he's been shown yet in the show and I'm not sure if they've casted him for season 2, or if he's even written in because he is a major part of the war] claimed an existing dragon)
On the other hand, Rhaenyra's children (Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey) got eggs in the cradles that hatched their dragons (Vermax from the previous episode, Arrax who you'll see in ep10, and Tyraxes who we probably won't get to see until later seasons). The hatching of these dragon eggs helps prove they are of legitimate Targaryen blood
Now for the accusations of bastardy:
Book lore is that the Velaryons are not black, they are white like the rest of the Targaryens. The TV show making the Velaryons black adds to the suggestion that Rhaenyra's three sons are bastards.
Book lore also states that Princess Rhaenys, Lord Corlys's wife, has the black hair of House Baratheon from her mother. Once again, the TV show making her have the trademark Valyrian white hair just adds more suspicion.
If the TV show followed book lore exactly, there is a reasonable explanation of Rhaenyra's children having dark hair and skin color wouldn't be different. Plus, like I said, their dragon eggs hatching helped quell rumors of their parentage because no matter what, their blood proved they were Targaryens who could bond with dragons.
Also, in the books, it's never 100% confirmed that Rhaenyra's sons are bastards. Just saying....

Incorrect that a person can only bond with a single dragon throughout their life time, this is literally never stated, shown or implied.
Quite the opposite, Targaryens believed they could claim new dragons if their dragons died.
And there's no resonable explanation for the bastardy in the books. Her sons have brown hair, not black Baratheon hair. Rhaenys has purple eyes despite not having silver hair. Rhaenyra has silver hair and purple eyes, so does Laenor, still all 3 of her sons have brown hair and brown eyes, they're 100% bastards sired by Harwin Strong.

The Hightowers gain their power from not only being one of the oldest families but also the ones who created the Order of the Maesters (the Religious order). They also used to be the old Capital of Westeros before the Targaryens invaded. They still remain in the GOT timeline a powerful and old family, they still have close relations with the Maesters and Oldtown is still their seat (which is shown in the original series).
Now Otto is interesting because he is not the main lord of the family. He is the second son, like Daemon is (except not a Prince ofc haha). So his line is not the main Hightower line and while Alicent was a powerful match for Viserys that made sense, it was definitely more above his stature as he is a second son and doesn’t stand to inherit unless his brother and his brothers children died.

It was certainly the most important city prior to the founding of King's Landing by Aegon the Conqueror, and still holds significant importance being at the mouth of an important river, a big sea port, having the Citadel (basically the headquarters for the maesters), and it became the center of the Faith of the Seven when that was established. Because of these factors, the Hightowers have always been wealthy and had significant influence in politics.

Vhagar was one of the original 3 dragons that conquered Westeros during the Targaryen Conquest. The other 2 were Balerion the Black Dread - whose skeleton we see often and Meraxes who also died.
She was ridden by Visenya Targaryen, Aegon the Conqueror's elder sister-wife.
Rhaenyra really had no choice but to have bastard children. She tried with Laenor but obviously didn’t work.
Had she not had children then the Greens would have argued she was unfit for the throne because she's barren.
There are no other silver haired people in Westeros except the Targaryens and Velaryons so she had no choice.
Also, in the books all the characters are white so race is never an issue. The children have black hair but Princess Rhaenys also has black hair in the books so the children can be passed off as Laenor's.
All the children have a dragon except Aemond (who has Vhagar now) and Rhaena. Her twin Baela has a dragon called Moondancer.
Aegon has Sunfyre who was his hatchling but not a full grown dragon and Helaena has Dreamfyre. Dreamfyre is very big as well. She was the dragon of Aegon the Conqueror's eldest granddaughter and the mother of many of the other dragons.

    Such a great episode ❤️
I'm back for some more info.
1)At the funeral Vaemond was trying to diss Rhaenyra so Daemon started laughing to attract attention to himself, since everyone would just think he was just being his usual unhinged self.
Rhaenyra ran from Rhaenys so fast lol, she definitely didn't want to catch some smoke.
Daemon saying "Pentos is my home", all right buddy, stop capping🧢.
2)Finally we saw most of the dragons together!
Meleys, Caraxes, Syrax and Seasmoke flying while Dreamfyre and Sunfyre were purched on the ground .
Crazy we only see two brief shots of Sunfyre in this episode, it's design seemed sick tho.
Like Syrax with pinker wings, I love it!
    3)To justify Aemond's action a little.
Claiming Vaghar right now was the only chance he would probably have of taming an adult dragon.
At King's Landing live few dragons, only his sister's of which is an adult.
Most of the unclaimed dragons live in Dragonstone, which is Rhaenyra's castle.
Claiming Vaghar at Driftmark at that time was probably his only chance to not get stuck with a hatchling or even remaining empty handed forever.
    4)All the info on Vaghar.
Vaghar was born on Dragonstone in the time between the Doom of Valirya and the Conquest.
All we know is that by the time of the conquest she was already an adult dragon.
Her first rider was Queen Visenya Targaryen, older sister of Aegon the Conqueror.
Together with Aegon on Balerion and Rhaenys on Meraxes they conquered six of the Seven Kingdoms, exept for Dorne.
Meraxes and Rhaenys died while trying to conquering Dorne in 7 AC to witch Aegon and Visenya unlished their fury on Dorne, but they were ultimately unable to hold it.
Afterwards Vaghar would chill for the most part, besides quelling some rebellions here and there until Visenya died in 44 AC.
Around 73 AC prince Baelon Targaryen (Viserys and Daemon's father) claimed Vaghar, becoming her second rider.
In 83 AC Baelon on Vaghar, Aemond on Caraxes and the king Jaehaerys I on Vermithor would quell a whole attempted dornish invasion of the Stormlands by themselves by burning down their whole fleet in one battle.
It was specifically noted that Vaghar was the only one to take some damage in the fight, although nothing that serious, so maybe her scarred wings come from that battle.
After Baelon died in 101 AC, which directly led to the Great Council, Vaghar would leave the Dragon pit in Kingsland ing to go live in the Narrow See, near the island of Driftmark.
Laena Velaryon would find and tame her around a year before the timeskip between episodes 5 and 6 becoming her third rider.
After around 11 years together Vaghar would kill Laena on her orders and now Aemond Targaryen has become her fourth rider.
5)While Rhaena reinforces that she had some claim on Vaghar, the truth is different.
Dragons are not hereditary, when a rider claims a dragon it's only because the dragon accepted them first.
The dragon has the last say in the matter and if they don't accept the claimer they will not let themselves be bonded with them and in the worst case even try to kill anyone they don't deem worthy.
Vaghar saw something in Aemond, let herself be scaled and, after a flight test, decided he was worthy.
So, while claiming her at her previous rider's funeral might be in poor taste (I've already explained tho how Aemond couldn't let this chance pass him), Aemond has done nothing wrong, legally at least.
Rhaena's notion is just a product of her childlike view on dragonriding, which is understandable but doesn't make it true.
    6) And now, the confrontation after the fight between the kids.
I'll try to explain everyone's actions as best I can, it's gonna be hard.
In my opinion, all the 5 children have some portion of blame for what happened.
Aemond was the first one to antagonize and the first one to escalate the fight by grabbing the rock.
Rhaena was the first one to confront him phisically (due to her understandable but nevertheless flawed notions and Aemond's insult).
Baela actually struck the first punch.
Jace escalated the fight further by pulling out a knife.
And Luke actually struck the only significantly lasting blow in the fight by blinding Aemond permanently.
    As for the adults.
Alicent is understandably overcome by her emotions.
Her son has been blinded over some insults, I challenge anyone to remain calm in that situation.
Viserys not doing anything about it and actually getting more mad about the gossip on Rhaenyra didn't help and Rhaenyra's "thank you father" was the last straw.
Wanting an eye for an eye is unreasonable, but I understand why she acted the way she did.
Viserys continues to neglect his other children which only divides his family more and makes Alicent more mad.
Rhaenyra arrives and immediately she takes her son's side, despite not even knowing what happened yet.
"It was my sons who were attacked and forced to defend themselves", totally cap but even more importantly she doesn't know what happened, she is just choosing to take their side, which is again understandable but that doesn't make what she says right.
"Prince Aemond must be sharply questioned..."
This has been 100% confirmed that "sharply questioned" means "tortured brutally".
Rhaenyra is telling Viserys that her maimed brother must be tortured so that they can know who started some gossip.
There is no excuse for this, Rhaenyra is being as unreasonable as Alicent in this moment.
Daemon doesn't even check on his daughters, nice one dude.
He doesn't even help Rhaenyra directly when Alicent attacks her, he just blocks Criston.
Criston's "as your protector my Queen" means "Alicent chill the f out!"
How is Criston the most reasonable one in this scene, lol.
This is where the divide between the families comes to a boiling point and the factions are starting to solidify.
This is my personal opinion, but the divide in the fandom between Greens and Blacks supporters is absurd for me.
Mostly because it makes some people demonize the opposition while overlooking their side's faults.
This story is so goated because every character is flawed and the sides mentality of some of the fandom I think prevents many from appreciating how marvelously every character has been crafted.
As for me, I like every single character while admitting all their flaws that only make them more enjoyable for me, so no matter what happens to everyone I will always feel both hyped and sad.
I believe this is the best way to feel to consume this show, but that's just my opinion.
    Anyways.
    7) Valiryan steel was one of the metals that was used by the Valiryan empire.
It's a super resiliant metal that lasts through the ages and makes the most lethal weapons.
It cuts through flesh without effort since once forged it never loses its sharpness.
The art of forging it was lost with time tho and now nobody is left that knows how to forge it.
The objects made of Valiryan steel we see in the show are : the necklace Daemon gives Rhaenyra in episode 1, Daemon's sword (named Dark Sister, it was the sword of Visenya Targaryen, Vaghar's first rider), the prophecy dagger and Viserys's sword (we see it when he sits the throne in episode 1 and 4, it's named Blackfyre and was the sword of the Conqueror that gets passed down to the next kings, mostly).
    8)And to conclude, Laenor.
Rhaenyra and Daemon conspire to fake his death so they can marry each other and leave Laenor free to do what he wants the most.
Plus, Laenor shaves his hair to hide his valiryan heritage better.
While it can be interpreted as a noble act, they do kill an innocent man and trick Corlys and Rhaenys into thinking that their last child is dead so as always, nothing is black and white with this show, only different shades of gray.
    And that's all folks!
Boy was this whole lot long to write, but I hope you'll appreciate it.
See you next time on rambling about Peak Fiction! 😂👍👋

The Maestors are all the doctors. Now take into account every single house has like a crew of Maestors, then all the Maestors at the Citadel. That's a lot of power.

@@fernandacaldasn false. There is a line of succession. If Rhaerya dies, the throne goes to Jace. If Jace dies, it goes to Luke. Then it's Joffrey, then Aegon, then Helena, then Aemond, then Daeron, and then Daemon.

@@fernandacaldasn again you are wrong. By your logic, Rhaenyra is just a princess because Viserys is still alive.
The children are all heirs. Given how common death during childbirth is, Rhaenyra could easily die. A sickness or a war could decimate the royal line. All the heirs are therefore valuable. Viserys literally said as much to Rhaenyra when she confronted Daemon over the egg.
Further Alicent isn't nothing. She is the wife of the king, the daughter of the hand, and mother of several heirs.

won’t lie, was definitely more leaning towards Alicent this episode cause i mean if you put yourself in her shoes, she’s a mother whose child has just lost an eye over a “lie” which is actually true and Rhaenyra gets to lie and get away with it (as she always does) and is then demanding for her son to get “sharply questioned” when he’s the one that’s actually injured. She was wrong for going after Lucerys’s eye but she was right, what Viserys did was insufficient. He could’ve handled that situation way better but instead disregards the fact that his own son was just maimed (even if it was his own fault) and again defends Rhaenyra blindly, even though she’s literally lying and he and everyone knows she is. I feel like this would just solidify to Alicent what her father said to her that rainy day, which is part of why she tries to take matters into her own hands (other than being bitter). And that “thank you, father” from Rhaenyra would’ve pushed me over the edge too lmao

Team Black. Everyone that is Team Green seems to hate Rhaenyra for pursueing happiness and having kids with Harwin and not Laenor. People think she is a bad person for that but that doesn’t make her a bad person, that makes her human. All she did was pursue her own happiness. She never did anything evil or bad, even though her pursuing happiness causes negative consequences for others, she didn’t mean for those consequences to happen, she was just a young human teen trying to pursue happiness. It’s infinitely relatable.

The seven kingdoms are not kind to gay men. Even though he loves Rhaenyra, he's miserable. His sister just died, his dad doesn't accept him, and he's not into politics. He's a warrior. The only CAUTION your moderators have to watch out for is a small scene in "Season 3/ episode 4. The guys that have seen GOT might know. Hope y'all pull the trigger, cause House might not end till 2 more seasons. That's a long time to deprive yourselves and your react audience. 🍻

I think now that S1 of HotD is over, they can move onto to GOT, take a break while S2 HotD airs, then continue with GOT, maybe finish it before S3 of HotD comes out. There's nothing really spoilery in GOT except for Joffrey giving Margery a tour of the Sept of Baelor (which they could fast forward past) and by Shireen explaining the Dance of Dragon's (though she doesn't get into specific character outcomes).

Laynor is the reason they together couldn’t have children. She did what she had to. And her father is protecting her. She is the heir, not some hoe.
