- đČ LinkTree: linktr.ee/thiscrit Dnd is a game filled with magic and wonder, and perhaps nothing is more exciting for players than finding yourself a fancy new Magic Item to play around with. From super powerful sentient magic weapons to something as simple as a magic coin that always lands on heads, players always love finding items in dnd.
We are all aware of the flamtongue weapons, the deck of many things, and the ring of protection, but there are a bunch of lesser known items that don't get as much credit. This is why I wanted to go over 5 magic items that I think are super fun, and also super useful.
So sit back and enjoy Super Fun Magic Items in Dungeons and Dragons 5e

Keep up the good work man! This was a fun video! Also shouts out to the candle of invocation. I once had a level 3 player cast gate using this candle, which I had given the party at the very beginning of the game for plot reasons, to summon a solar (the warlock's patron). It was a pretty wild session.
Thanks dude I really appreciate that! The candle of invocation is one of those items I have never really had the chance to give out but that sounds like it would be a pretty crazy game hahaha
I love the bag of tricks, especially in the hands of a shepherd druid. Sure, they wonât get most of the subclass benefits, but when you can chat with your free summons, it really opens up some opportunities.
Thats a super cool combination I hadn'y realized! I love that lol
Bag of tricks is my fave on this list too. good source for scouting, free help actions and sometimes even a meat shield. the pokemon trainer flavor is also very cool.
Amazing d6- err I mean cube of force thingy
The "Definitley not a normal d6" d6!
Cool list
I donât know 5e magic items very well so this helps
Thanks! What edition do you usually play?
@@ThisCrits well we started playing 5e last year but only once a month. I DMed 3.5 for years and do that once a year now and Iâm still playing in a 3.5 game too once a quarter.
@@RIVERSRPGChannelMakes sense! 95% of my experiences in TTRPGS is in 5e. I started off in 3.5e but It was early on in my TTRPG career so I never got too into it. Same thing with patherfinder! But I can confidently say that I have had fun each and every version I played!
Only fools still think ranger is weak in 5e... it was never the weakest class and never will be. I agree that it had a lot of features that were just useless, but the spell list mixed with good combat features (plus Sniper and/or crossbow expert) makes it one of the top classes for combat, and the remaining features give it a lot of versatility outside of combat.
Good video, loved the items you brought in, specially the sword. Anything that boosts cooperation in dnd is instantly my fav. Keep it up!
agreed. the correct answer for what's the weakest is monk. ranger wasn't even in the vicinity of the bottom 3 (rogue, barb, monk the non-casters) by virtue of conjure animals and conjure woodland beings (which were in the phb) which are 2 of the most broken spells in the game and nothing on the kits of those 3 classes is better than either of those 2 spells.
now with the improvements from tashas, fizbans and xanathars, i'd say they are the best non-full caster class (placing them firmly in the middle at #6) slightly ahead of the paladin.
The ranger of today is no where near the ranger of release 5e. I remember people used to give the ranger sooooo much hate lol. With feats and new subclases I feel like the ranger of current 5e is pretty much a bunch of band-aids put on top of an "ok" class. That being said I still love rangers but I definitley can see why people gave it so much hate early on.
Thanks dude! I try to bring in items that people don't usually talk about since the videos generally boil down to a "top 5" style format. I'm glad you like it! And I 100% agree items with cooperation make the game 100x better!
Nice list Lee! is this the banana vid or jus a teaser? missed opportunity to wield that banana as a lightsaber! haha.
I like the list epsecially bag of tricks which is something i always ask a DM when i'm a player. i've always liked the idea of having a pet but not playing a pet class. this carried over from me playing a few mmorpgs before like ragnarok online.
No no no this was a banana teaser don't worry!
I figured you would like the bag of tricks! Ragnarok online! Wow thats a throwback hahah Haven't played that in like 12 years lol
@@ThisCrits haha. please wield the banana like a lightsaber!
@@TheRobversion1 Hmmm...I have wrote this down. Lets see if I do anything with it lol
