This is the best Bach Cantata Series I've encountered. I've heard/seen very many: Ramin, Werner, Scherchen, Richter, Harnoncourt, Leonhardt,Kuijkens, Gardiner, Suzuki, Rilling, Koopman, the Brilliant Classics set, Herrweghe, the fantastic Netherlands Bach Society on You Tube, but this takes the cake. Gott sei dank.

A Bach melody has a distinctive way of tearing thru one's heart without a second thought.
Bach was one of the greatest songwriters of all time, and should be thought of as such.
Perfect singing and a superb performance by the orchestra.
