Song from spaghetti western film Django (1966) directed by Sergio Corbucci starring Franco Nero music composed by Luis Bacalov song performed by Rocky Roberts
Django) Django, have you always been alone (Django) Django, have you never loved again Love will live on, oh, oh Life must go on, oh, oh For you cannot spend your life regretting [Verse 2] (Django) Django, you must face another day (Django) Django, now your love has gone away Once you loved her, whoa, oh Now you've lost her, whoa, oh But you've lost her forever, Django [Chorus] When there are clouds in the skies and they are grey You may be sad but remember they’ll all soon pass away Oh Django, after the showers The sun will be shining [Instrument break] [Bridge] Once you loved her, whoa, oh Now you've lost her, whoa, oh But you've lost her forever, Django [Chorus] When there are clouds in the skies and they are grey You may be sad but remember that love will pass away Oh Django, after the showers The sun will be shining [Outro] Django Oh, oh, oh, Django You must go on Oh, oh, oh, Django
For those who didn't know, Franco Nero (Original Django) is the guy who asks Jamie the new Django if he even knows how to spell his own name in the scene at the bar. I think that was cool for Tarantino to do that.
Most Tarantino fans don't care about spaghetti westerns. They did for a short time in 2012 - 2013 because that movie made it trendy. They didn't give shit before Unchained and most of them don't give a shit now.
@@EvieFive I'm a tarantino fan and I grew up watching spaghetti westerns, chanbara, Martial arts flicks and exploitation grindhouse flicks and still do. However I agree most Tarantino fans are oblivious to the films that ispire him and only watch trendy things.
I played this song for my grandma in a coma 2hours before she passed away. Because she loved this song and the movie, I wanted to give her something special in her final moments of life. To steer her thoughts of demise to happy moments in life
Like it doesn't get more badass than having your hands ran over by horses and still having the adrenaline to slamfire off your Peacemaker into your adversaries!
XenoKaiju That's probably one of the best moments in the film where his hands are bleeding and he is getting taunted and shot at, he's like screw it BOOM BOOM BOOM!!
Django appeared in about 60 different themes (movies, cartoons, comics, books etc.), Tarantino's version is just one of many. Sergio Corbucci was the one that invented Django, though.
One of my favorite movies ever. True classic, one of the most things I love about this film is that all the bastards that came with blood went with blood too. Only Django and that woman he saved came out alive. All the thugs got smoked😁
I always like how Django typically does not fall for the girl or end up with the girl, even in the unofficial sequels. In "Django the Bastard" he had a great line where the woman steals al the money from the men Django just killed (including her husband) and asks Django to run away with her. "Run away with me! We'll be rich forever!" she begs Django. "We won't live forever." he replies, and rides off without her, leaving her alone to clutch the money to her breast.
it was not a remake its a he used the character name Django because so many spaghetti Westerns did after the success of the 1966 films Django (In other words he used the name to make it more of a homage to spaghetti Westerns) of the 60s and 70s
'Maybe you wanna make a final request?... I can't hear you...' 'Can you hear this?' BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG That was a brilliant ending to an amazing film haha
This song fills me with some sort of weird determination to go out to the west, grab a horse, including some food and water and ride off into the desert and fulfil my destiny as a cowboy ahahaha
my father used to tell me about this movie, when i saw for first time, i said to myself : it's a workart!!! the music it's simply AMAZING!!! thanks guys for share!!
Watched the Django (1966) when i was 12 years old, that was 18 years ago. Brings back memories. When i watched Django Unchained i knew the song was borrowed from the original movie.
This is my favorite scene in the whole movie! The expression that Steven (Sam Jack) has on his face after Django (J Fox) says "I count two guns, nigga!" is priceless. It's like in that moment he has resigned to except his inevitable death.
I think they wanted him to do this and he turned it down. I think? But yes it sounds a lot like him. I had my daughter argue with me and I had to prove it to her!
It's the style of singing. There was something somewhere, where they said the full intent was to sing the song in a similar way to how Elvis sang. Obviously, it doesn't sound exactly like Elvis, tho. lol Because it is Rocky Roberts.
yeah he really did have similar tone and vocals..too bad Elvis didn't do it...would have rekick started his career sooner than he did i the late 70s. Then again he was still pretty highly paid and sought after during the 60s which is when this movie came out. still interesting all around...good movie too.
and the singer is Rocky Roberts, that was very famous here's in Italy. Great dancer, great singer. At my 54 yrs old, I see again him and his songs very gladly, as when I was a child...
magic track,i love django franco nero was magic, and django unchanied the best film i saw at the pictures last year, but django had the best ending,he had to fight off the baddies with his hands crushed and hide behind his wife's grave for cover,to kill the bad guys, and what about what he carries in his coffin he drags about.and django unchanied was pure magic, these are the best two movies on django.
What an honor, the man who sang this originally is from Alabama and he is black his name was Rocky Roberts, wonderful voice he went to war for the United States but decided to stay over in Europe the decision glad they use the original song for the opening of this movie
What's weird about this was that this song came in the 60s and listening to it now AFTER watching Quentin tarantinos movie Django. It's as if this song was made to be in his movie. It's sooooo Tarantino style with his choice of songs for his movies
the singer of this is rocky roberts wich was an american rnb singer that lives in italy , and , i'm afraid i'm old enough to remember it, he was huge! sort of italo-wilson pickett
Stop complaining about Django Unchained. Tarantino is just bringing these great songs back to life. Sadly, most of the people would miss this (and many other) masterpiece without Tarantinos movies.
Django) Django, have you always been alone
(Django) Django, have you never loved again
Love will live on, oh, oh
Life must go on, oh, oh
For you cannot spend your life regretting
[Verse 2]
(Django) Django, you must face another day
(Django) Django, now your love has gone away
Once you loved her, whoa, oh
Now you've lost her, whoa, oh
But you've lost her forever, Django
[Chorus]
When there are clouds in the skies and they are grey
You may be sad but remember they’ll all soon pass away
Oh Django, after the showers
The sun will be shining
[Instrument break]
[Bridge]
Once you loved her, whoa, oh
Now you've lost her, whoa, oh
But you've lost her forever, Django
[Chorus]
When there are clouds in the skies and they are grey
You may be sad but remember that love will pass away
Oh Django, after the showers
The sun will be shining
[Outro]
Django
Oh, oh, oh, Django
You must go on
Oh, oh, oh, Django

Tarantino has nothing but respect for film so it makes 100% sense for him to do that.
@@BCS1105 The D is silent. I know.
Almost cancels out how uncool it was for him to even make the film.

One of the greatest western soundtracks of all time
Voice is absolutely mesmerizing!!! In all my 67 years, this is the first I've ever heard of this man.

And that guitar solo is SO COOL.
Hell yea! Even as a kid I knew how ridiculous his feats were, but god did I enjoy them to death! Absolutely badass.

spaghetti western..italian genius!!

Between the Django (1966) and Django unchained is no term of comparisson. Both of them are outstanding movies!

“Spaghetti westerns.”
Okay.
Women too
Thanks Tarantino for bringing this great song back to life !
That song is righteous...God bless it.
This Django was totally different from the new one, and I love both. Please don't hate the new one
The new one is crap, not fit to bare the name.

The new one is trash

the original Django is the best
I totally agree
your right the old one is the best
yess i also agree
Me too!
LivesOn onLives the original every movie is always the best. Name one that isn’t
This song is from the original Django from 1966, Rayvyn007. Tarantino just used it again in his remake.
it was not a remake its a he used the character name Django because so many spaghetti Westerns did after the success of the 1966 films Django (In other words he used the name to make it more of a homage to spaghetti Westerns) of the 60s and 70s
+Asa Fisher Not to mention it's just such a good fit. A Django who kills klansmen and an ex slave Django, both with a lost love.
Both great movies. I love both.
Asa Fisher exactly he just used the name and soundtrack. Movie is overrated in my opinion. Original is the best
They're sorta in the same universe because Franco Nero makes an appearance as Django in Unchained
'Maybe you wanna make a final request?...
I can't hear you...'
'Can you hear this?'
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
That was a brilliant ending to an amazing film haha
I love how the original Django was in the new movie. A legend in the presence of a pure badass
Woman: "Is there someone inside the coffin?"
Django: "Yeah, and is name is Django"
I Love this Song what an unbelievable Voice Perfect!
I love the fact that this is published with accurate details. Credits given where credits are due.
♪Oh, oh, oh, Django
You must go on♪
I love those lyrics
I was glad to see that some finally mentioned the original django i was starting to think that nobody knew about it
The one film that has given the Italian Western movies it's characteristic !!
Thanks to Sergio Corbucci & Franco Nero

And it is! Such a great song.

I would get myself a Gatlin Gun and see what I can solve w that.
Dr G. Semen Don't follow your dream, it sucks.
