#TierList #GameGrumps #Dinosaurs
i love that the moment dan says he should shorten his words, arin tells him he shouldn’t bc his enjoyment is enjoyable and i think that’s why i love this channel. that’s something kid me would’ve wanted to hear so bad and i’m glad dan and arin are the kind of friends that encourage each others’ interests
they are adorable, bromance is real. if you have a firend like this you basically "made it".
@@Muzik-kq3th A friend you pay a yearly salary to? XD
@@vaevictusdeusno, a friend you _share_ a yearly salary with 😂
@@ellespoonies if you have a good job and you are able to let other people profit isnt it a logical step to bring your boys into the boat? Also Dan contributes a lot to the game grumps success. I really dont't see what's the big deal here?!
@@Muzik-kq3th i was joking, i was making fun of the other person’s comment insinuating that because Dan gets paid a salary they somehow cannot be friends, replying in turn that actually it’s more like they’re “sharing” the salary because really, if you think about it, they both equally contribute to the program and therefore the income gain.
but yeah, i absolutely agree with you, if you have a friend good enough that including them wouldn’t cause any issues, who wouldn’t want to work with their best friend? then you’re just making money to hang out, basically, it’s a win/win!
Dan on Dinosaurs: *A bunch of interesting facts learned over the years.*
Arin on Dinosaurs: "He's got a big fat tail that wacks people. His head is funny. He's just a dopey dude."
I love that because it's dinosaurs, both ways of talking about them are just as valid.
checks out
im arin
"He looks silly"
The duality of man. Both equally valid
I think Game Grumps is the only channel I know that uploads daily, but takes a month to finish a 2 part series.
Correction: takes a month to upload part 2 of 3
god knows how long it'll take for this 3 part series
It’s called knowing how to play the algorithm
It’s a 3 part series
Super Beard Bros do too! :)
Dan should get a dinosaur video trilogy every year as a reward for surviving Ghoul Grumps. Love hearing him so excited about something.
Dinovember, it has November right there in the name!
This. You’re both geniuses
It’s fun hearing Dan nerd out over stuff
Totally!
Because Dan is the smart grump.
@@deangraves7462 and that is after years of destroying brain cells with weed 😆
@@deangraves7462 Arin is smarter than he seems. By which I mean he's kind of an idiot but he's also a genius. I mean this in the most non-derogatory manner possible, I love Arin.
@@nineleafclover That is the very definition of Kmart smart. Don't let this Florida hustler fool you, he probably pick Dan as notsogrump because his first and last name rhymed.
This is the reason I have a two monitor PC setup, so I can watch this and look up each dinosaur at the same time
I love hearing Dan indulge in what he's passionate about.
I love that he's got actual Paleontologist buddies that he can just message and ask dino questions lol
@@rileymachelle4088 I ask my paleontologist sister random dumb questions about dinos and other prehistoric animals. It's amazing.
@@rileymachelle4088 What I would give to have friends with major scientific careers like that. All my friends are department store workers.
I'm here for the enjoyance :)
I want Dan to know about the borealopelta markmitchelli aka the most well preserved fossil so well preserved they know what it’s skin pigment was and their stomach contents
I know, it's fucking crazy to look at. It's also got a super interesting story to it.
That's AMAZING!
They discuss its picture in reference to a different dino around 18:45
I'm not sure if he knows the entire story of it, but yes.@@crytenfold936
Ah yes, the Northern-Skinned Mark Mitchells, my favourite dinosaurs!
Can I just say, I really appreciate that Dan is someone who approaches dinosaurs as animals first, rather than as pop-culture icons. It's not a common attitude in general, let alone among youtubers outside of dinosaur circles.
For sure!
What does that mean exactly ?? "Approach dinosaurs as animals first"???
@@HeroSword_P People tend to think of dinosaurs in terms of movie monsters, or like, 80s pop culture icons. That's (in my opinion) why people get upset about discoveries that change our understanding of how dinosaurs looked. They see it as them getting "redesigned". Dan, refreshingly, talks about dinosaurs as what they were: real animals that lived on this planet.
@@TheBabalogai think a good example is the people who get genuinly upset over feathered dinosaurs because they arent "cool" like bro 😭 theyre animals wym they have to be cool
@honey-po9ij yeah I don’t understand that… feathers are really cool! They can be sleek and waterproof like penguin feathers or big and showy and colorful like peacock feathers and everything in between, not to mention that they’re what makes birds, you know, fly
Damn straight, Ankylosaurus is S tier.
It sureley is and so is Stego! But how is therizino A tier and iguana s tier? Therizino is fucking terrifing. Absolute badass
It's my favorite dinosaur so hell yeah!
Hell yeah, my all time favorite dino.
Absolutely 💯
The zuul subtype being C is a real fumble
Danny "Leigh Avidan" Sexbang seriously became a musician so he could travel the world going to different dinosaur exhibits.
It was all a scheme ... all for his true love (dinosaurs)
This is the kind of workaround i wish to teach the world.
What do you wanna do all your life?
Dan: "i wanna learn about dinosaurs!"
How you gonna pay for that?
Dan: "I'll play happy music everywhere i go and people will give me money to go to the next museum!"
Beauty.
A small personal life fact that no one will ever care about:
towards the tail end of the pandemic, late 2021, one of the last classes I had to take to get my final college degrees was a class in dinosaur paleontology.
The class itself started at 7AM, so I was waking up around 4:30AM in order to get prepared and be there on time. On all those mornings, I would always watch reruns of Game Grumps Wheel of Fortune as a way to wake myself up.
Having this series now brings back a lot of memories. If only these specific videos had existed on those cold, 5AM winter mornings. lol
10:15 that’s a common injury that is called Happy Tail, if the dog keeps re-injuring the tail it usually leads to an adult docking to prevent continuous injury and potential infection
Knew a dog that would frequently turn wherever it was into a horror movie set. He broke his tail 3 times and split it open countless times and hed keep wagging it so its get blood just everywhere. Wasnt allowed to get it docked though as his owners lived in the uk sometimes and apparently even medically necessary docking are illegal there. So the dog just always had glue or stitches cause that's just so much more humane according to UK standards
Yutyrannus had become one of my new favorites. Found in the frigid parts of China, it had down-like proto-feathers to keep it warm, and was just a little smaller than Tyrannosaurus (if I remember correctly). So it was just this big ol, fluffy-feathered Tyrannosaur
Danny don't ever be ashamed of your passion for anything. We love to hear you excited about things. Arin too. We are here for it. We are here for the 2 of you, whatever that might mean. Embrace your excitement, let it overflow, and so what if it takes over an episode. Sounds like a good episode to me.
in this one and only moment I feel that I can safely speak for the entire fandom and state that, as a whole, we'd watch any entire series of Dan nerding out about dinosaurs for hours on ends.
Eh...no. You don't though.
@@vaevictusdeusit's okay, you're allowed to be wrong
I'm hyped for Part 3 of listening to Dan nerd out over dinos
I love the way Arin describes the dinos, silly recognizes silly.
Unfortunately borealopelta’s tail was decidedly normal and not silly, nodosauridae is the type of dinosaur that has osteoderms on their back. Ankylosaurus is a smaller umbrella that refers to nodosaurids that had clubs.
Borealopelta is still really cool tho, if you have a chance to go to the royal tyrell and see the fossil for yourself I’d recommend, it’s insane how much detail there is.
We always joked that Dan is a furry, but I think this just proves he's a scalie...a Danosaur even.
THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER! PART 2 BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m so stoked that the Ankylosaurus was put in S, it’s my absolute favourite
Finally the Dino Danny Conclusion! ❤
It dropped!
It ain,t a conclusion!
@@resileaf9501 Good! I could listen to Dan geek out about Dinosaurs all day.
If you guys want to do 50 episodes of just Dan talking about how much he loves dinosaurs my white ass will be watching
As a white guy, my brown ass will be watching as well
Dinos are cool. Dan is cool. It's an objectively awesome combo. I'm down to rock in Dino town
Same
next time on Game Grumps:
dinosaur smash or pass
Yes please
this is awesome I hope they see it
They would
They should really play Ark after this, together at least. Just them finding a stegosaurus and nerding out, or Dan just Taming every Stego he finds.
I've really loved these last couple of episodes and honestly I'd be down for a whole show of you guys discussing/geeking out about dinosaurs! It always brings me joy hearing people talk about stuff they're passionate about so if y'all want to keep this up I'm all for it! Plus I'm learning a lot which is always fun.
I really don’t watch these for their conciseness. I love Dan’s anecdotes and dinosaur trivia, I love Arin’s descriptions of what the dinosaurs seem to be thinking on those pictures. It’s great fun and I would be very happy if there was a part 4 or even a part 5.
Love hearing Dan shout out the Royal Tyrell Museum in Alberta. :) Grew up in Calgary and have so many fond memories of going to that museum. Such an amazing place.
I was so ready to be disappointed if they didn't put Ankylosaur in S tier and then to hear Arin sing its praises, *chef's kiss*
Somebody needs to make an avatar of Dan in dinosaur form and name it "Danosaur"
Tydannosaurus Sex 🦖
I hope they do more of these, I love to hear others talk about their special interests and having fun explaining it
GameGrumps Lunch Break Chronicles, November 28, 2023:
Good soup 👍🏽
I would love to spend a whole day with Danny just talking about dinosaurs lol a huge passion of my life and I love talking about it with others
can't wait for part 3. this is so sweet and wholesome to listen to. love that you guys are having fun talking about dinos
I absolutely love hearing y'all nerd about this kind of stuff, my favorite stuff you guys make is when you talk about the things you love it's so entertaining and enjoyable
MAKE PART 3; EVEN MORE DINOS!!!!!
PLEASE let dan ramble about dinosaurs more on this channel!!! It's so nice to hear ❤❤❤
I now kinda wanna see Arin and Danny playing Ark together, or at least have one play while the other watches.
Oooh I went to dinosaur camp at the Royal Tyrell in Drumheller as a kid 💜 and I loved that they had James Gurney paintings everywhere cuz we share the same last name. It was very cool to see the backrooms of where they keep all the fossils. So many fossils can't be uncovered because they weren't labeled properly, and they don't have the resources to possibly uncover a duplicate common fossil.
16:15
Dan is missing out, there's a sound file of a simulation of what they would sound like, and at low frequencies its this super deep bass sound that probably carried for miles
This is exactly the kind of content I love to see, as a dino lover in general. I LOVE hearing all these fun facts Dan has learned and also love that there’s some that are new to everyone! We all got to learn something!
I am now extremely hoping they play Paleo Pines as well.
You could make this a 5 parter and I'd still absolutely watch every moment. Patiently awaiting part 3!
I'm from Alberta. Only an hour or so from the royal Tyrrell museum. The way Danny said Drumheller made me laugh so loudly😂 19:14
Get you someone who loves you the way Dan loves Stegosaurus.
There was no more enticing way for two people (or dinosaurs) to ram each other than for one person (or dinosaur) to tell another person (or dinosaur) that he or she was so (bird) hip to be Ornithischian.
With baited breath, I patiently waited until the moment I could confirm Ankylosaurus ended up in S-tier where it belongs!
Are we sure Dan’s fursona isn’t a dinosaur of some kind
Dan can have alternative sonas if he wanted to
that would make him a scaly
i thought he was a stegosaurus unicorn
@@ethereality1565a stegacorn… that sounds kinda cool.
@@cmrobbins88That should be the name of his next NSP album. Stegacorn Wizard
Finally we can hear more facts by Dan and Arin laughing at funny dino
Dan talking about the Royal Tyrrell Museum made me so happy. Grew up around an hour away from it, fantastic place if you ever get the chance to visit, world class museum for sure.
I just love when Dan's enthusiastic about something, and I can relate on this one to some extent since, like many people, I was super into dinosaurs as a kid.
Yay!!! I got to here Dan talk about the Ankylosaurus. My personal, favorite dinosaur.
For those who might not know. Arin’s childhood dog had what’s called happy tail. It’s when dogs wag their tail so hard they fracture or break the end of their tail, usually hitting something hard like door or trim in your house. My Pitty had the same thing for a while. We had to pad his tail so he would not do anymore damage to it. If it gets bad enough the dog might need amputation. The more you know.
Please bring the other part! There’s something really heartwarming to hear someone passionate about a topic they love.
15:40 I believe it’s also theorized parasaurolophus used it more for mating calls
A couple fun facts: birds are the closest thing we have to modern day dinosaurs as that’s who they evolved from and pterosaurs (like the pterodactyl) aren’t dinosaurs due to differences in their hip joints (and I think there’s another notable difference but I can’t think of it rn) but are basically like cousins of the dinosaurs
I'm glad they're making this a 3-parter. It's so fun to hear Dan gush about certain dinosaurs, and Arin is there to enjoy the ride. Ankylosaurus is my favourite dinosaur - Didn't even know they were related to the stegosaurus, so that's cool.
9:45 this is actually a fairly common occurrence in veterinary medicine, it's literally called "happy tail"! Oftentimes it ends in partial tail amputation because the patient is just too darn happy to let it heal.
The ankylosaurus is my favorite, the ankylosauradae are named after him and if I remember correctly, they’re actually the last of the family timeline wise
It’s wild hearing the grumps talk about Drumheller and the Royal Tyrell Museum when I went there so much as a kid cuz my grandparents lived like 10 min away from it lol
This is honestly so great. It’s awesome to hear Dan nerd out and to learn more about Dinosaurs (what’s up always had a passive interest in but just never super researched) and I really just hope the last part isn’t another 3 weeks from now
Just so you know, I’m FUCKING INTO THIS. Dan. Arin. If y’all post I’ll watch no matter what it is, but this might be some of my favorite Danny content ever. I can hear his contained excitement throughout the whole thing and it reaffirms how of an experience I’ve had growing up with y’all
Parasaurolophus is my absolute favorite dinosaur. When I was a kid I used to pronounce it “para-saura-lopho-lus” cause I was too young to read/speak better but I talked about it ALL the time. I ended up playing the saxophone in school and always pretended to be one when I was practicing (totally made my parents regret getting me into music). So glad you agree it’s S tier!!
Yeah, T-Rex is number one for a reason. Some dinosaurs are extrapolated from a few fossils that are basically trash, but they have a lot of extremely complete T-Rex skeletons. Which implies that it was pretty abundant and successful. I heard one guy talking about them recently who said that T-Rex isn't just one of the most well understood dinosaurs, but one of the most well understood animals of all time because of all the thought and study put into those skeletons.
I’m LOVING this tier list! Listening to people be excited and happy about what they’re talking about is so fun! ❤
Apparently dinosaurs like the Trex would rarely try to take on a full grown Ankylosaur and we're hesitant about even taking on mid adolescent ones because they were so tough to fight
Ankylosaurus are the dino equivalent of honey badgers. Don't mess with them!
predators are fully aware that they need to be careful to not get injured. There is no Dr. Dino around the corner and even a broken leg can be fatal eventually.
So I as a museum studies grad student got to see the collections (aka behind the scenes) of the Children’s Museum of Indiana- which is where the Harry Potter Dragon Dino is from/was housed!! Was crazy to hear that name come up in class after watching this!
I love how they are so supportive of each other's interests.
I will absoluetly watch a third part! I love seeing you two talk about dinosaurs! Also shout out to my boy Ankylosaurus getting into S tier cause they're my favorite dino and Arin is right they have major dog energy in their art
Arin mentioning dinosaurs in school reminds me we gotta see if we can get them to play "goodbye volcano high"
that is such a Dan game
Dude the Dinotopia books were, like, my entire life when I was a kid. I was obsessed with all things dinosaur and I’m super in love with James Gurney’s art to this day
I watched a documentary, Life on Our Planet on Netflix, while I was waiting for this to come out and I feel SO smart and I totally understand where Danny gets his Dino enthusiasm from
Actually dragon myths most likely stem from a mistranslated hyroglyph of a modern monitor lizards forked tongue which was thought to be fire breath instead of the forked tongue the humans who made the glyph were intending.
Always love a good Grumps tier list, and I'm glad the wait wasn't too long for part 2! Dan's passion for dinos is truly legendary 👍
10:39 For anyone disappointed with Arin's apparent disapproval of feathered dinosaurs in Part 1: I get what he means. He grew up with the Jurassic Park versions of raptors, that's what he grew attached to, he doesn't like seeing them turned into something else. And I like them too! The feathers never bothered me as a kid, but it's completely understandable. But I am glad that he's into other feathered dinosaurs, because not only are they the real deal, I think they have the potential to be super cool looking. I'm glad they've started entering mainstream media more often.
You know what, I flipping love these two going off about dinosaurs! We need a Danny's Dino Discussion show. MY SOUL needs it.
I was waiting with bated breath to hear what Dan thinks of my favorite, parasaurolophus, and I was not disappointed. Love listening to him geek out!!
I love when people get to geek out, like this is obviously Dan's biggest interest and just giving him the space and time to really get into it is so lovely.
This has to be the most educational game grumps episode I’ve ever seen.
I legit screamed when they mentioned Dinotopia, I love those books so much! They're the reason protoceratops is one of my favorite dinosaurs, because Bix was so spunky and sassy! I'm so glad Dan knows these books! 😅
Heterodon: The straightest of all dinosaurs.
I love the jingle grumps when they do the Christmas puzzle games. So relaxing.
And now Kathronodon just gained over a million followers 🤣
I love how happy Dan sounds whenever he talks about dinosaur trivia ☺
Due to Danny's recommendation, I actually visited the museum in Berlin when I went there last week! The Brachiosaurus 🦕 was indeed amazing, and it kept going in and on. I loved it!
IF IN THE NEXT EP THEY DON'T PUT SPINOSAURUS IN S IM GONNA LOSE MY MIND
I love these sm. I love hearing Dan talking about dinosaus. Talk about what you love. it's so fun+
Dan worrying about if we're enjoying this when all I'm thinking about is how much I would love a Dino Danny Podcast is crazy.
Dan, the whole reason we're watching this tier list is to hear you go off about how cool dinosaurs are! It's also delightful to hear Dan spit facts while Arin just talks about how cool and silly they are. Both great ways to enjoy dinosaurs.
I would watch an over 100 part series of Dan talking about dinosaurs, so don't feel the need to rush
I think that Canadian "Edmontoniadon" whose pic they showed, paleontologists call the rare dino "mummy." You can see the skin so well and it was so well preserved they're trying to find out what color it was in life.
Yay! My fav tier list where Dan can infodump about dinos!! Happy happy joy joy yippeeeeee
Honestly love this and could listen to Dan talk about dinosaurs for hours! It’s so nice to hear someone talk about some they love and are passionate about!
I just wanna hang out with Danny and talk about Dinos
When I was a kid the stegosaur was one of my favorites to so I get Danny's fascination with them.
Being from Chicago, i remember when they first introduced Sue the Trex fossil. I believe i was in the first or third grade when I went to see it on a field trip.
It makes me so happy hearing people nerd out about their favourite topics of interest. I already knew Dan loved his dinos but hearing how much he knoes and how excited he gets just makes my day! I will happily await the 3rd part! 🩷
Words cannot describe how glad I am that the Parasaurus got S lol. They didnt mention it, but another really cool thing about them is that their heads are shaped like xenomorphs! An irl ginormous xenomorph that honks when it gets spooked 😂😂😂
It's fascinating that Arin mentioned the ankylosaurus looks like a puppy, because the ankylosaurus in the animated film Dinosaur is portrayed as a cute little puppo personality lol
"Is anyone gonna be into this for three," he says. Dan you silly boy. I could watch the Game Grumps Dinosaur Hour forever.
Good lord, the amount of goosebumps I got when they talked about the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Core memory were unlocked today.
