No, Chrollo’s objective is to find personhood, he found that externally via the Troupe and yea he does relate to this to some extent, it’s shown he doesn’t actually take joy in any of the killings he does. He doesn’t feel bad about it either, he thinks there is no free will and that we are all puppets and thus are in able of being held morally accountable. Though, this is expanded on more when he acquired the ghost writing ability that tells the future. A character I think truly exemplifies this quote of not wishing a better world for anyone, is Gyro.
We know from the new chapters that the troupe doesn’t want to destroy the world.Their goals appear to be simply existing and doing crimes, and help out their hometown
This audio pairs better with Gyro than for Chrollo narratively (manga) Chrollo is in the pursuit of learning about himself, acquiring personhood He believed he was empty, now he believes he is simply blank.
I feel like the audio doesn’t fit chrollo since it started out of love and revenge for a dead friend, to make meteoroid city better. then his objective got lost over the years.
Idk, a lot feel like the audio doesn’t quite fit Chrollo for seemingly paradoxical reasons. To me, I feel like that’s WHY it fits. Originally, I feel as though this audio would have been way off. Chrollo started off with “good” intentions, with good only being in quotes because that saying about an eye for an eye makes the world blind. As such, revenge is often not seen as a noble cause. But, I’d make an exception for this one, as they also made meteor city better. Not just as kids, but even as they grew up and created a system. And then Chrollo kinda lost sight of everything when he lost sight of himself as well. He really was inflicting his pain on others. And then after he does that, what? There really is no catharsis for Chrollo; he believes he’s empty and hollow, just sorta blank. All that’s left is his punishment unless something changes soon.
This… makes so much sense now… after the last chapter…
His story is truly heartbreaking.

True, the only part that fits is when he says he doesn't gain deeper knowledge of himself since he does have an identity issue
Goosebumps
