It's about studying effectively, and setting goals for the day rather than the amount of time you study for. Working smarter, not harder. For example; write a practice paragraph and do a math exercise tonight, rewrite my Chem notes tmr night, complete 2 exams today etc... My sleeping routine was nothing special. I live pretty close to my school so I'd wake up at around 8:25, and go to bed at around 1AM, usually watching Netflix for 1 hour before I actually slept haha. I plan to make a full length video soon detailing all these things so stay tuned, and good luck on your studies this year!

Hi, is it important to go to a high ranking primary school and secondary school to achieve a good ATAR score? Many people move to a school zone for a good school. There are some websites which show the school rankings. I am not living in a high ranking school zone. So, should I move to a good school zone?? It's only for public schools not private. Does it matter if a kid does well at any school? Thank you.
Me personally I went to the local public high school in my area so nothing fancy. Although going to a high ranking school would definitely help as the environment is more motivating and geared towards standardised testing, I think you can still score well given that you are self motivated and surround yourselves around supportive peers. So in summary, yes it would help you if you moved to a good school but, for the most part, you can also achieve well in your current school if you consistently study and stay motivated, albeit at a greater difficulty. Hope this helped.

@@AaronTranHoang I'm panicking so hard right now, Yr 11 starts in 2 wks for me, yr 10 has been a disaster of a 10, always got told dont stress about it, that it's just one way of getting to where you want, but isn't the result of 2 years of blood and pain?
@@apleknight411 nope, only the final year 12 grades count towards the ATAR. just make sure you begin to develop good study habits but dont stress too hard over it

the good thing about going to a random public school is that the dux has 99 atar... so it's easier to get dux. at my school there's always like 20 people who get above 99
at "random public schools" you have less access to the resources that private schools and selective schools have - hence the lower scores on average lol. Also, the SAC scores of students in selective/private school are boosted by overall cohort performance. Not to take away from any students at these schools but you shouldn't discount students at public schools either as it's overall harder to get higher scores at public schools.

how did you guys treat the holidays for all terms, did you rest/study/both
For all the holidays I studied pretty regularly. But also, its unrealistic to be studying for 6 hours straight a day so make sure you regularly exercise, get that rest and hang out with family & friends. During midyears and term 4 holidays, start doing practice exams because they can be time consuming, but you will have the most time to do them during the holidays. Good luck.

Nope! We all went to a public school as well, and getting a 90+ ATAR is definitely achievable if you consistently study the whole year :) Good luck

I’m just lucky that the course I want to apply for doesn’t require an atar score, but I do need to have a 25 in English (shouldn’t be hard), complete a selection task and pass two rounds of interviews, and if that doesn’t work out there is a pre-course I can do that will help me get into the one I want. Final year of school, wish me luck 🤞🏻😅
