What are you going to use your tallow for?

Great video!! I like the way you organized the steps! I’m assuming you can, but could you use deer? We process one every year but this year I want to keep the bones and fat!
Also what was the weight you started with and what did it finish at?

I don't see why deer wouldn't work, it may have a slightly different nutritional profile but I'd give it a try & see if you like it. I'd love to hear about it if you do. I'm sure the bones will give you a nice meat stock as well 😊
As for the weight, I've never weighed the finished product to be honest but I can say the packages I buy are 5 pounds & I get approximately 8 cups of finished product. I've already used some of this batch but I will try to remember to update the post when I render the next batch. Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support ❤️

@@NaturalLivingAlchemy I will be sure to let you know how it turns out! I won’t have it until the late fall so I still have time to do research. I want to make soap and some creams with it, as well as have some for cooking!
I’m infusing some of my herbs and hopefully I can add them into what I make.
Thanks for giving the approx amounts! I’m ordering 3 pounds of grass finished beef lard next week and want to get that rendered properly before I try larger amounts!!
