Your cutting is perfect. The thinning shears are meant to cut every other bit and leave some uncut. This works on hair but on paper you have to use regular scissors to trim off the shaggy edges. These are beautiful!

Tina, you just answered a question I’ve had for some time. You are using hair thinning shears. Yay! Pinking scissors don’t give the postage stamp look. The thinning shears do. The reason that you are getting the fuzzy edges is that as they are for hair, they need to be sharpened from time to time. It’s probably cheaper to just get a new less expensive pair, use them until they get fuzzy edges. Here in the States we have a Beauty Supply business called Sally’s. It’s wonderful for finding the shears at a decent price. You might have mentioned them in a previous video but I’ve just recently started journaling. Thank you so much. I also want you to not be so hard on yourself. I am truly overjoyed with the information you gave me today. We love you.

If you use the scissors that are for thinning hair, it will cut a perfect looking postage stamp edge! I was very surprised at how well it works.
The postage stamps are amazing. The lace takes them to a higher level. Gorgeous!!!💚💚💚

I love these. I will be doing a lot of printing and sticking through autumn as I’m going for surgery on Tuesday and it’s a long slow recovery 😢 however if I’m cured it will be so worth it. I have watched lots of different channels but always come yours with a sigh of relief, as I know I’ll enjoy seeing your latest creative project. Hope the kids are ok and that things are going ok. I admire you for soldiering on when it's so hot in the room; I'd have run, fully clothed into a cold shower. These all turned out great, hadn't thought of using fabric for the faux stamps. Oh, try tweezers when applying any tiny bling.
It was getting pretty hot up there, sorry for all the complaining! Lol. I am not brilliant with tweezers I have to confess x
I love these sweet little card/stamps. And I use my hair thinning scissors and mine come out exactly the same. I think it’s just how the scissors cut. Thank you Tina, you’re the best!🥰

Tina, when you’re struggling to cut,make sure you open your scissors wide, therefore not just using the tip which is more difficult to control xx

When you said you had lost the will to live with the tiny pearls, I fell out laughing! I have felt your pain. I found in the nail polish section of a store, wax pencils. It is a super hard kind of wax and you keep it sharpened like a regular pencil. Anyway, you just touch it to the pearl or diamond and it picks it up and then you set it in the glue and it works really well. I would totally send you one but I don't have your address. But eBay and Amazon both carry them.

I have just recently found your videos, and I love your creativity. I was wondering if you considered using small embroidery type scissors for the smaller objects. They are nice and sharp, and easier to maneuver.
Also, as others have pointed out, don't be hard on yourself. Words matter. You are not stingy, but creative and economical, etc. Look forward to seeing more of your inspirations.
Tina, hair thinning scissors are meant to cut a few hairs and skip a few hairs; so some hair will remain original length. So, it is working exactly how it is intended. Cutting, Skipping, cutting, skipping, cutting……..
I have thick curly hair and my mom had it thinned when I was a kid. Worst mistake, my hair would tangle worse because of all the layers curling up and knotting.

Oh Tina you are being WAY to hard on yourself.
It might make it easier to sew around your project-stamp- if you either sew then cut around or instead of glue try some dorcas pins to hold things in place until you have sewn.
You spend so much of you precious time creating content to share with your subscribers, and you are so aware of the time you are using to create, which sometimes makes you flustered. Just take a deep breath and know that we truly appreciate your efforts.
Also remember to take care of your own health first because if you push yourself too hard and end up ill, then we all miss out.

I love how these turned out! Can you provide a link to where we can buy the zigzag scissors that have such a small zig zag cut. Mine cut the zig zag wider and longer and I like the smaller cut for stamps.
You can buy the scissors on Amazon, they are quite inexpensive x
