  • Tractor sat in a Nebraska field for 10-12 years before recovery. I plan to use it on our 84 acre hobby farm to run a sickle mower, hay rake, and disc. This is our 3rd Massey Ferguson, we have a Super 90 and a 65.

Fantastic machines... I have my dad's MF135 from 1965, he used it continuously for over 50 years on his farm before he retired. I couldn't let it go out of the family so it now lives with me and is being restored. The only thing it ever really needed was a new clutch and the odd battery. Amazing.

graduated from the grey fergy to a 35 and 135. we used a fordson super major with 4x4 conversion later it went into the woods as a skidder on thinnings.. That and a pair of gypsie cobs and an ancient clydesdale..
Then the then common market changed things.. rules and regs.. mixed arible and dairy sw scotland.

congrats getting your massey working again. i love mine and don't think i'll ever sell it. it's such a workhorse around the farm. the front end loader gets used way more than i thought it would, very glad i found the tractor i did.

Good thing you have all those 1/2” wrenches.

Nice to see it going again. I have one if its predecessors, a FE35 still going strong. I was using it last week end back filling a trench at one of my sons places where he had a trench dug running services to a new shed he is building. Very much looking forward to more videos of the tractor soon 👍

Ferguson sure did make a good tractor. Glad to hear I’m not the only one that still puts them to work. I’m wanting to overhaul the continental engine on my MF65 next.

no need to open the top bleeder - will still fill the filters, just open the 2 screws on the injector pump

Probably so but with the injector pump below the filters there is a chance air could get trapped in the filters. Plus it’s only a couple extra steps that ensure everything is bled correctly.

12 years - same as 12 hours for one of these.

They are great tractors/engines. Mine had a few issues that needed addressed before running. After sitting for 12 years and the unknown previous maintenance I’m glad I went through it the way I did.

Is that a British built MF135? I think it is but seems to have the castings painted silver metallic instead of grey. The tin work is all original even the letter spacing on the bonnet. Please don’t repaint that tractor. I learned to drive on one similar to that. Great video. Keep up the good work.

Not sure where it was built. No plans to paint, I like it as it is as well. Thanks

😒😒👎👎 Hand held camera is the pits! You seriously need to put that camera on a tripod.
