Prime Silva is the true all-time P4P GOAT. It's really just how easily and to what level he would outclass his opponents. Griffin was at 205, Silva should have been slower. His hands were completely down , dodged every blow, and then cold KO'd Griffin with a backwards-moving counter jab. He had cracked ribs in Sonnen 1, far from 100% and almost pulled out of the fight, but he still won. That was the only time he was really in danger during his legendary run. By the time he finished Bonnar and was onto Weidman, he had really done it all as a dominant champion. I think if Chris faced him 1 year earlier, it's not even close. Silva is always a great entertainer. Jones has a gifted physique and we really have to question peds in his case, Silva popped only after healing from a career ending injury. Silva outclassed the best in the world simply with pure martial arts prowess.

Although I love Silva I would say Jones was a more complete fighter because of the wrestling, but it's hard to say how much of an effect the drugs he took had.

In his prime, Silva was an absolute GOD. He was so far ahead of everyone else that the division _STILL_ hasn't caught up to where he was in his prime. If time travel were possible, you could bring 2006-2012 era Silva to the present and he'd still embarrass absolutely EVERYONE at 185 today. And that's not me trying to disrespect any of today's top guys. It's just that Silva really was _THAT_ good.

@@sukhdevr3489 Jones is a beast don't get me wrong, i saw what he did to everyone. I just think he gets a lot of advantage from his God given frame, and I have more questions about his ped use than Silva, since Silva only first popped well after his prime. Silva had a great frame but it wasn't freakishly genetically gifted like Jones. Silva just straight out skilled and out classed the greatest warriors on earth p4p.

@@mathprodigy Fair enough. I think either Jones or GSP were the GOATs since they were pretty much perfect everywhere. GSP did have more decisions than Jones and get TKOd and submitted.

Franklin against Silva is what happens when you first fight those clinch spammers in online UFC and you have no idea what to do.

He never failed a test until after that broken leg, so you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. Even then, in the times where he did fail, he looked terrible. So, it's not like they did him any favors.
Two other things have to be considered. Firstly, even if he was juicing, it's been stated by more than a few other fighters that pretty much all of them were on PEDS, too. So, if he was cheating and everyone else was too, it was still a level playing field. But, if he WASN'T cheating and everyone else was, that makes his accomplishments even more incredible.

Ultimately it was Father Time who beat him, Weidman was just lucky to be the one who caught him at the right moment.
