Seen praise for the Hibs fans at that Final on West Ham, Wigan Athletic, Man City, Everton, Arsenal, QPR, Man United, Liverpool and Bristol Rovers forums amongst others. I seem to remember someone did a study of Hibs and Hearts fans, looking at their attitudes towards sectarianism and they concluded that Hibs fans were far more likely to condemn both sides than Hearts fans and generally had far less sectarian attitudes, despite the Club's origins. After all, half the Hibs fans I know, myself included, are from protestant backgrounds, though I know few from any background that give a fuck about religion. Some do right enough and I'd be dead against Hibs trying to disguise their origins, but I've been to Hibs matches with a German mate who is a protestant minister and my friends wife, a protectant churchgoer, who have said they noticed fuck all in the way of sectarianism. I've also been to Hibs games with Plymouth Argyll, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Cardiff City fans and have met fans of Brighton, Yeovill Town and Portsmouth at their games, amongst others. Try checking out some of the "Sunshine on Leith" videos on CZcams and count the number of English fans who are now saying that Hibs are their new favourite Scottish Club in the comments section, not to mention the fans from abroad! By the way, this may be hard to believe, but I know a Rangers fan, who said Hibs were always his Edinburgh club when he used to live there. Unusual I agree and it may have something to do with one of his mates, the uncle of a couple of celebrity Hibs fans by the way, (not The Proclaimers, think tennis!) being a Hibby!
