I'm thrilled to reunite with my old friend Joe Gore to perform "Oblivion" by the great Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla. This marks the debut of our Jim & Joe Show. We'll be posting music LOTS more performances, conversations, and lessons. More info at jimcampilongo.com and joegore.com.
This is my 2nd performance of Oblivion since the great Sam Reider brought it to us and I just can't get enough of this song. Of course, falling in love with the people and place of Buenos Aires has something to do with it. Thank you for listening - Jim

Wow!
Magnificent!
This collaboration is just as unexpected as it is beautiful.
Thank you both.
Thank you sir. This was unexpected for us too. A very nice surprise. You are the first to hear us and comment. I sent your comment to Joe, I know he'll appreciate your gracious words as I do. Have a great day - Jim

If you come in France (Paris) to play, I'll be there !@@jimcampilongo6469
beautiful!
Thank you- You're beautiful. - Jim
AN ETHEREAL RIDE GUYS
Jim, Maestro, thank you. This is beautiful.
Both Joe and I are happy with how our "Oblivion" turned out. It's easy to freeze up when the camera is going and this "performance" is nice and loose. Your gracious comment is appreciated. All the best - Jim
@@jimcampilongo6469 It’s a masterclass in tone, touch, and harmony. Absolutely beautiful. Hope you guys will be doing more, and committing some to record. Take care Jim.
Campilongo's guitar is incredibly similar to Frisell. Quite amazing!
Incredible sound, Jim!! 🤩
Thank you!
That was so moving. Thank you guys!
Thank YOU - Jim
Oh my Jim the touch sensitivity of that tele that's wild!
What a great way of livin'!
I love Jim and his tone is to die for; I would love him even more with a smidge of slapback!
Hehe - I love Jim too, but effects probably aren’t going to happen!
So beautiful and inspiring Jim, thanks from Buenos Aires, hope to see you soon again, the best for this duo!
I would like that - Jim PS maybe November
I've played the Balatzar Benitez arrangement for solo guitar of "Verano Porteño," but I'd never heard this piece. Piazzola composed some beautiful music. The Tele tone works great on this. Excellent performance.
Joe Gore weighing in: "Verano Porteño" is a beautiful piece! I'd heard "Oblivion" before, but I don't think I realized how amazing it is until Jim proposed it as idea. Damn, I'm so lucky to be playing with him. :)
What? No Princeton??!!
Skylark?
@@artisanmetalcraft Jim's using the Skylark at my studio. He says he likes it, but I don't expect him to stop using his (many) Princetons.
Beautiful, what's the name of your duo?
Hey, that's not Princeton amp!
Fantastic!!
Beautiful!
Thank you -Jim
