I have visited Muree, ayubia and Nathia Gali. 18th and 19th of December. My wife said Kay abhi snow itni zayada nae hue. I said, it's not a good decision to go to Muree in heavy snow due to these circumstances now a days there. She asked me yesterday that I have taken good decision.
So, when ever you go anywhere, apni condition, weather, tumam halat o waqiyaat daikh ker Jana chachiye. Or apni condition be dekhni chachiye Kay Mai koi un-honi condition ko face ker sakta Hun Kay nae.

Most of the people who went to Muree didn’t have proper vehicles, didn’t wear proper clothing, they were not prepared to embark on such treacherous journey. And top it all off with Muree not being capable, or designed to handle such crowed. This was a wistful, and a tragic event we must learn from to avoid future debacles. My hats off to Pakistan Army for rendering aid, and rescue to victims of this misfortunate event. My heart goes out to people who lost their lives. May Allāh Kareem grant them utmost highest abode in Janat al Firdous, and Sabar e Jameel to the love ones to cope with their losses. Aameen.

There should be Blizzard warning before. You said, the cars were not enough good. I SEE HERE Land Cruisers and other Big Cars, but the problem with them that they did not installed Winter Tires, rather they don't know what are those.
SirbPakistan Army has luxury guesthouses and cantonment in Murree. They have thousands of stationed personal there. They were not doing some favor by helping the people. It is the job of Pakistan Army to help in such disasters. They get a training and biggest budget in Pakistan. Armies around the world are called in any natural disaster.

You always put chains on two wheels ..one on the front wheel and other diagonally at the rear wheel
Rear wheel vehicles are worst in snow. Front wheelers are fine, but the best of course are four wheel vehicles. On top one must use Winter Tyres when going on hill / mountains trip. In many countries its a law to have winter tyres between November 1st - April 15th.

I think it’s because brakes are applied for long. Let car flow slowly in first gear, applying brakes only worsens the slip.

You need proper winter tires and some gravel sprinkled on road.
The simple rule in sand or snow just deflate the pressure tire so that tires have grip on road. If you drive mannual car use lower gear mode.
