Haaland doesnt do most of the stuff that Havertz does either... he doesn't drop into midfield, he doesn't facilitate or doing anywher near as much tactically with flexibility depending on the opponent... he doesn't do anywhere near as much running or defensive work. THe op comment is fair.. Haaland is obviously the much better finisher and box striker... Havertz is by far the better false 9 tho.. he already has the other stuff.. and he is maybe young enough that his finishing could still improve.

The really potent nature of this arsenal team is that they don't have a "STAR STRIKER" per se calling for all the chances. If such a striker is having a dry spell it can be detrimental because everything goes through him.
Kai on the other hand brings his midfield intelligence to the strikers role making it easier for the team to find chances and score rather than for just a top 9.
His calmness from his time playing midfield makes our opportunities in the 18 clearer and more efficient. He has shown he can be a problem if you give him more confidence.
The typical strikers can rush our style of play in the 18 making us less efficient in getting clearer chances. We'have seen that when Jesus plays,..
I have also observed that to be liverpools' issue right now,.. The chances are being created but the intensity and striker's rush is making them less efficient and clinical. Mancity can use haaland that way because they have alot of calmness from their midfield and style of play

Osihmen is well overrated by George
Hes great but we face low blocks a bunch and Osihmen isn't great in tight spaces. Havertz is better in terms of getting our wingers the space to shine and thats what we need. And compare the goals and assists of both and as a 9 Havertz fits us better and he can drop into midfield, he can run in behind, he can drift out wide and hes only 24 and can improve. Id rather not spend 120 mill on Osihmen, i dont think thats worth it

    • @MRBp2024
      @MRBp2024 Před 15 dny +1

      Osimhen is not overatted.
Also the lowblock talk is nonsense when last season he won Serie A with Napoli who were a possesion team.
The 'not good in tights spaces' is nonsense.
He's scored so many half chances in congested areas or from tight angles.
      Osimhen is a natural goalscorer.
Osimhen has better physical advantages then Havertz.
Osimhen is better in the air then Havertz which is one of Havertz major strenghths.
Osimhen is alot quicker then Havertz, whose got good pace.
      Osimhen has better holdup play.
Osimhen is more agile, better instinct in the box.
Osimhen has better feet, better technically.
Osimhen box presense is next level. He also creates space for the wingers by occupying CB's.
Osimhen adds that inevitable goalscorer in the team.
Havertz would be a great plan B or play as part dual no.10's system with Odegaard. He provides alot of versatility, at worst strenghthen squad depth.

@@MRBp2024 He is overrated, Just because he played in a possession team doesn't mean he played against low blocks all season because he didn't, he had a lot of chances in transition as well😂
And yes he scored half chances, also missed a lot of easy ones as well, last season he literally missed more chances than he scored, so I don't know what you mean by "inevitable goalscorer" 😭
Secondly, how the hell is Osimhen more technically gifted than Havertz, let's be real here. Even against Spurs the number of times a long ball was played into him and he took it down one touch shows how much of a lie that is. And that assist to Saka right to his feet...bro 😂
And thirdly yes I'm aware Osimhen is the better striker, never said he wasn't. I'm saying that in terms of what this team needs, this team performs incredibly with a false 9 system, and Havertz is a better fit as a false 9, will Osimhen drop deep and drag defenders with him for Martinelli, Trossard and Saka to attack the box? No...
And this is something you guys don't understand, Osimhen will occupy defenders centrally so the spaces he creates for the wingers is more on the edge of the box than in it and only Odegaard is a CONSISTENT threat on the edge of the box, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus, Trossard score more in the box. Havertz on the other hand will drag defenders left, right and center all over the place, even into midfield and creates all kinds of spaces for his teammates. He does that better than almost all strikers right now. Indeed Osimhen is physically better and an instinctive goal scorer despite that chances he wastes but to me that isn't enough for us to pay 120+ million for him when we can use that money alone to buy a Frenkie De Jong as a number 8 and a Nico Williams for the wings. Just being a goalscorer isn't enough anymore, any player we get into this team must ELEVATE the people around him like Havertz is doing. If not then it ain't worth it. I don't see the point of signing a single player to score 25 goals himself and the rest score less if with Havertz there's a chance of around 5 players getting about 10 goals each and he himself getting about 20 G+A

  • @aka_jr
    @aka_jr Před 15 dny +1

I think you could (and probably should) build around Havertz, as he does a lot of the great things that Jesus did for us last season (except that he rotates with the midfield, which I think is actually better in the long term with Timber and White as all-phase fullbacks), and probably could be the starting "striker" with an aim to build up a young prospect behind him. We have Biereth on loan; why not have him be the #3? When we eventually move on from Jesus, if Biereth can get 1000 mins in all comps this season and maybe more the season after, he'll be ready to be the #2. Then you've made an academy pathway, which is *very* important for Arsenal cause we have an u18 prospect we have to bed into the first-team squad as soon as humanly possible.

  • @thespizz5074

Havertz is like a more athletic giroud, he reminds me of RVP a little bit too. But one thing he lacks is the clinical finishing of those two players, and Giroud arguably wasn’t even that clinical.
I rate havertz a lot, his work rate is unreal, he’s very technical, his off ball movement is excellent, he has so many facets to his game. I think he has a chance of adding more deadly finishing to his game as he’s only 24, but the fact he sometimes avoids taking authority in the final third worries me slightly about relying on him as our main striker. He’s too much of a pass first player sometimes.

Why aren't people looking at ISAK more strongly? I know he would be expensive but Bruno Gimmeres and Isak from Newcastle would make this arsenal starting 11 complete. I know signing both would require close to 200 mill. But with the champions league revenues, I think Arsenal are able to sign both this summer. Isak can play LW as well and Kai can play as ST.

Arsenal have been the highest scoring team without having a bona fide 30 goal a season striker. Besides scoring 15 to 20 goals a season, it is Kai's other attributes- defensive, link up play, chaos in opposition box allowing others to score, hold up play, work rate, footballing IQ, Arteta's confidence, etc., that have made him an integral part of this specific Arsenal squad. On top of playing where he's needed, Kai has scored a dozen goals from a dozen or so starts as a number 9, a ratio of one goal per game. So, at this point, there is nothing Kai or Arteta can do to convince doubters that what Arsenal need to win the premiere league is a Kanu midfield attacker with the x-factor to save us against frustrating loses to the likes of West Ham and Fulham.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but Rashford from a player profile (undeniable speed + elite finishing + prem experience) and value for money (same we got Havertz) would be interesting. I think he has the underlying potential to be world class if in the right environment and doesn’t demote/upset current team instead elevates it if Arteta can unlock him like he did Havertz.

      Rashford has been poorly coached.
Rashford general linkup play and basic fundamentals isn't great.
      Technically so inconsistent.
      His physical profile is great.
But the baggage for the level of talent he is definitely a bad idea.
Rashford going through a down period of his career with no demand from himself.
Havertz case he wanted to stay in england and prove himself, he was willing to work, kept trying during poor form.
He atleast had the effort part.
Havertz could easily have gone back to his comfort zone of Germany at a club like Bayern Munich who win Bundesliga every year under his former coach Tuchel.
He choose to go to a london rival who have alot of pressure despire not being favorites for the PL title, along with having his own 65m price tag.
Rashford is too much of a gamble for a guy who people question his comittment, work ethic and desire to be on the pitch.
He's too flawed a footballer to have those work ethic + commitment questions, thats not even speaking on his 350k pw wage.
Havertz is 24, a former wonderkid who people viewed as a generational talent.
Havertz is back to his Leverkusen form + finishing.

Drogba was not so much a great goal scorer as he was a scorer of great goals. Havertz is cut of the same cloth. He has scored goals for us not just against minnows, but very important goals in important games. Even Haaland goes missing in many important games. Also, Havertz is one of the most technically gifted players in the squad. Did you see his first touch? Second only to Odegaard, I think. And he is only getting better. I mean, we have only seen a glimpse of what Havertz can be for us. I'd say we stick with Havertz.

Ref a CF there isn't a prospect out there that is a stand out player suitable for our play- hence the number of names bandied about. Nothing worse than just buying a player because you think you have hole in the squad. Better to wait and use the money to strengthen in other areas- namely a 6/8, a RW to give Saka breaks and competition, a CB to cover Saliba, and a no. 2 keeper.
