- After limping back to Campell River with an inop Torque gauge we stumble across some amazing luck. The one place in town that repairs rotorcraft has 5 or so parts for Robinson helicopters. One of those parts is exactly the part we need to get back into the skies. Now it's just a matter of who is going to pay for it. After that we just have to fly a couple hundred miles over inlets and mount rainier to make it home.
Thanks for sharing this amazing story. Watched all seven.

BANGER series!
You deserve more subs and views. Greetings from Mauritius.
Such an epic journey!
Crazy they had the part on hand!! Never how it goes down for me 😂
Maybe that faulty transducer was the trigger to purchase the Bell 505!
lol i thought you guys were going to get stuck for a week waiting for a part to ship across the world
You two must be living right!
A $5,000 part for that kinda money should not fail in a helicopter that's less then a year old.
Sad its over
$5000.00 for the part to fix the gauge? wow.
Hi guys, I have a couple of questions about the breakdown on R66:
* was it the only serious problem with that machine? I understood it was pretty new.
* what make you change to Bell 505? On paper R66 seems more perfomant (greatest range, lower consumption, higher speed) than Bell 505.
Thanks for your feedback.
Ps I am actually flying on R44 Raven II, and looking for turbine machine.
Are you ever going to post again or is IG Life now?
