Lower temperature gives you higher stable overclock ability PLUS near to silent system unit if you use good equipment.

I'm doing just fine for about a year now. Temps under the load are not going higher than 48 C after 24/7 of insane tortures =) I'm talking about 48 C on chip AND board. IR thermometer was used to control temps on different areas of the board.

I love OC! =)But since my project is not done yet, I can't give you any info about overclock under water cooling. But I have two of those GTX 680 and on stock air cooling I overclocked it to: Core 1230 Mhz, MEM: 7000 Mhz with 70C and 85% fans. I will update my info when I finish my build. First of all In theory low heat gives lower fan speed and this is my goal #1. I will try to push frequencies to the limit, but in the same time control temperature and noise level until I find perfect balance.

Yes I know, I didn't mean to ask generally, I meant specifically in this case. Does the 225w tdp ceiling from 2 6-pins present a problem in trying to push your supercool 680 to high overclocks for gpu and memory? Of course you may not be interested in overclocking :)

You put way too much grease on the VRAM man. You don't cool your ram so It doesn't need a waterblock and thermal paste. Also Arctic silver is conductive so if it leaks off it could short your card.

Is there anything you can put over the exposed part of the pcb? I know you can put a backplate on, but I think having the exposed transistors messes with the aesthetic of a PC..

My 2 cards overclocked and under the load stay at 45C and almost silent! (pump noise)

Do the low water temperatures enable you to reach high overclocks for gpu and memory?
