- I first started this animation at the start of 2024, and now, i finally got the motivation to finish it! that's why the art style changes a bit during the video ^^ but im actually really proud of mysekf for not giving up on this little project, i had a lot fun doing it and i thought itbwould be nice to share it with everyone!
NOTE: i did not finish reading ths books yet(currently reading them tho and im having a blast ^^) so the situations shown in the animation might be a bit unnacurate!
this animation is about Ivypool and Dovewings relationship, ive always adore these two sisters when i watched the maps as a kid and always wanted to make something about them one day, so here it is! hope yall like it :3

I feel super bad for Dovewing - all she wanted was to be close to her sister but her power stressed her out and pulled her away- while ivypool was trying SOO hard to be better than her. Great animation!

but Ivypool wasn’t just looking to be better than Dovewing. She was upset by how much attention Dovewing got and how she was basically abandoned when Dovewing found out she was part of the three. everyone’s love for her spurred the twin rivalry and jealousy that many siblings face. She loathed Dovewing for the attention she got IMO, and i think Dovewing was pretty blind to how much resentment Ivypool had towards her cause she was so focused on doing her best with the powers she didn’t really ask for

@@amanita.paws.sibling rivalry always intriges me but i’d be lying if i said i was biased towards Ivypool. It’s like when parents pick a favourite and forget about the other one unless they do something so extreme literally just to get a moment of attention
it’s a double sided coin too, the more favoured sibling can feel guilty and upset at how their sibling is being treated (or how they’re not getting treated) and it can leave them being self-conscious and sorely behaved in face of challenged and difficulty in life

Aah I love this so much!! I really appreciate that you showed both of their perspectives in one animation. I usually feel like most Dovewing / Ivypool animations always subconsciously force you to like pick a side (if that makes sense?) but you managed to pull this off really well in a way that made both of their opinions make sense! And the end is so wholesome.. also your art is just gorgeous. I love your use of colors! Expressions are on point also :'D

I feel like it would have been nice to see a friendship between Ivypool and Hollyleaf as two sister’s that were both thought to be the sort of failed siblings that didn’t end up in the prophecy.

this is so beautiful! gorgeous artwork (i love ivy's expressions especially) and colour choices... love all the blues in hawkfrost ivypool the dark forest etc.. the frame with dovewing + the lion/jay is sooo stunning as well

This is so beautiful. I love the art style and how you chose to draw the scenes and all the expressions. It's nice to see a PMV that focuses on both of their persepectives and has a happy ending
I love the dynamic between the two sisters so freaking much. Now, Ivypool is my favorite and I always felt bad for her. The way she handled the situation wasn't...the best. I don't like Dovewing but I did feel bad for her as she was forced into a role she never asked for. But the way she also handled the situation wasn't great either. I think what really made me not like Dovewing is her and Ivypool were finally starting to get along once more and then she left her for ShadowClan(yes I know she was expecting Tigerheartstar's kits)
Anyways, I love this animatic so much! I'm definitely saving it to my playlist of warrior cat PMV, AMV, and MAPs! I love your art style as well!

I LOVE THIS! I love Dove and Ivy so much. I’m so sad they never got to repair their relationship. They both wanted each other but they didn’t have the words or the time to make up, it’s so sad, this animatic is AMAZING!!!🎉

so cute! love your colour choices i feel like the softer colours really match the song. love the frame at 0:58 especially with (who I think is mapleshade) being in silhouette and the red being so contrasting to the rest of the scene. and the frame at 1:22 is so pretty.
