    Very good tutorial. However, I notice new players have problems understanding two things. One is that you can attack and defend with multiple characters (it is mentioned, but every example is a 1v1). Two is what happens if Str. of the attacker and defender are equal (the attacker wins).

    I have not played First Edition, but have seen videos and people playing it and it seemed really clunky with tons of phases and a lot of banned cards. Looking at the 2nd edition, it seems very similar (gameplay wise) to the first, which is a little disappointing. I was hoping for more smooth gameplay, similar to Netrunner. :(

      @thirdrd0 Před 9 lety +2

      QuantaKill Well, I'm a Netrunner fan but I honestly don't see how ANR is smoother than GoT, based on this video. Sure, GoT has all those phases but take a look at run structure. It's incredibly complicated and huge. With enough experience you can play without referring to rules every time you run but at the beginning it's really difficult. I suspect it's very similar with GoT - clunky at the beginning, very simple and intuitive, once you get the understanding of the game.

    If a character that we have in play was killed by Millitary claim win effect and card goes to dead pile, when it come to our hand from deck same character card we can’t play it, is there an option to move it to Dead Pile freely ?! Which are the rules of playing 3-4 players ?!

    • @GokulSisir
      @GokulSisir Před 4 měsíci

      It depends if the character that was killed was a unique character: if it was not, then you can marshal it. If it was a unique character, then you cannot marshal it until all copies of that card are no longer in the dead pile. You do not get to freely send a card that you cannot play or marshal into the dead pile. Rules for more than two players can be found on page 12 of the Learn to Play Manual, but essentially comes down to an extra step in the first phase, where you draft the title cards, and the last phase, where you return the title cards.

    I have a doubt, when you put cards in the discard pile, is there no way to get them back? Is it not like MTG where you can get cards back from the cementery but not from the exhile pile?

    • @GokulSisir
      @GokulSisir Před 6 měsíci

      It's a little more complicated than that. Cards like Varys can be removed from the game, preventing any possibility of bringing them back. The dead pile resembles the exile pile, but, outside of card abilities, like those found in Ser Gregor Clegane, only characters go in the dead pile after they are killed. Additional copies of unique characters in the dead pile cannot be played, but there are certain faction abilities, like those found in the Greyjoy faction, that allow you to bring cards back from the dead pile. Plot cards like Rebuilding and Reinforcements allow you to take cards back from the discard pile, and copies of unique characters that are in the discard pile can be played again.
