Few are called; fewer are chosen. Our motto is, "Where everybody is somebody;" but the catch is, you have to believe it and work towards it. You are cultivated at Grambling, but no one (and I mean no one) holds your hand. Just because you pay tuition and etc., doesn't guarantee you a diploma. Grambling is your first introduction to adulthood and it is a hard look at who you are. Your first test doesn't happen in a classroom; it happens when you walk amongst that sea of black, and you are graded on your decision-making, determination and overall character. There is no "easy" at Grambling, and there is little to no latitude for any student to just float around aimlessly. You either become the tiger, or you will be devoured by it. Those of us who endure and graduate have a better idea of who we are and what we want out of this "America." But that's just the beginning of our education. So 10 percent??? So what? Spew out another stat. We are used to it. We know that the world believes we're not good enough. But that "10 percent" knows better. If you haven't been there, or you were there and you didn't get it, then stay out of the GramFam. We'll be fine without you. Good luck someplace else.

Its actually 33% .. the national average for public universities is 33%! Graduation rates are a questionable measure of a college’s worth, students that transfer in or out to complete their degree aren’t counting in grad rate.... I never graduated... ran out of money.....no reflection of the school just didn’t have the money...
