Thank you to the both of you for exciting me so much - I'm not a teacher but a Parent helper that helps out as much as I can and help work out units for a great friend who is an elementary teacher as well.
Ron Clark's book The Essential 55 is one of the books that I live by. It was actually a movie about him called the Ron Clark Story that first sparked my interest in becoming a teacher in an inner city. It is really great that you got to have this experience.
I absolutely loved your VLOG about RCA! Visiting RCA is a new goal for me now!
I wonder whether teachers from other countries can visit RCA for training. I might do some research. From here in Western Australia it would be very expensive and obviously part of a general vacation, but what an amazing opportunity to add if I happened to be visiting that part of the US anyway. Thank you for letting us see it through your eyes.
You remind me so much of two of my favorite teachers. my 4th-grade teacher and my 11th grade Math Models teacher! It's like if they had a love child, you're her! LOL!

hi bridget. you seemed that you'd really enjoyed your visit to the RCA. i'm happy for you. i wish we'd something like that in my country :( one day maybe. who knows ! i also love that you're close to your cousin. in my culture, family is very important. aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins are all very close to each other. so thumb up !!

+AccordingToChez - I'm not sure what you are looking for as far as more information. It truly is an experience, nothing written down or explained will come close to being there. I'm sure there are other videos and blogs about the experience but they probably won't help you feel any different. If you love teaching, Book it 👍

while I do think that the house system encourages team-building within the house, i have the concern that it pits students from different houses against each other and hinders making friends beyond that house :/
