@@HHGamingNetwork if matchmaking is actually good then it will make it harder and harder to get wins if opponent is similar in terms of roster , strategy and gear ( like stall teams in TTA ) , it will be easier to hold on for a draw - stall teams still work in TTA and were a plague in live arena , imagine what they will do here with restrictions and boosts unless plarium have tested it and balanced it perfectly

The only way to win against a well matched team with the same resources is to pay to scale up faster or better or pay to get better champs. i quit all my previus game for that reason..,.so this time i changed the way im playing..i joined a mediorce clan...we can do all things we no spend we dont have high expectations and we enjoy the game as much we can when we can...the only rule we have is.."just make ur daily logins" ..make ur login and go..if u cant do things is ur loss not of clan..
It would've been better if they made it so that capturing the enemy stronghold alone means your clan wins, but if the enemy clan also captures your stronghold, it comes down to the amount of victory medals.
The rewards are even worse than my rock bottom expectations. 8 weeks at 100% win rate to get 1 primal shard LOL. This is so horrible!! The champion isn’t even that amazing, imagine the power creep 1 year from now…
99% of the playerbase already hates PVP. All they had to do was give a good incentive. Seems like they did the exact opposite. Going to completely ignore this mode. Terrible design with even more terrible rewards and structure system.
One thing I think you glossed over in the comparison to Hydra at the end is that Normal Hydra also awards 6* gear. The lowest two tiers of this mode only award 5* (and oddly enough Tier 5 does as well. I don't know about the wider community, but I personally would prefer 6* legendary over 5* myth in most cases)
I look forward to the hero that replaces this hero’s worth in a years time. They will patch the rewards just like cursed city. This way they make everyone annoyed not pissed
I suppose Raid intends to see just how complex a mobile game can be for mass consumers. The only bad thing about all this is one has to spend a lot of time in the game, while we have plenty of life going on outside of it. I wonder whether they consider age demographics of their users when they strategise on these new features.
I'm just not participating in this at all. If my clan wants to kick me out, then so be it. I'll find a new clan that feels the same way or I'll just not play anymore. Those rewards make me not even want to try it out at all!
This was tough to see but is exactly what I expected. I was thinking the gear set would be mserable to complete based on their video but now its completely obvious how much of a time waste this will be. This game mode was already going to be afialure but this just ensures it. SIEGE IS DOA!
Obligatory comment saying that yeah even if the rewards are okay I’m inclined not to participate in pvp content. It’s not fun. Only reason I do is because my great hall is not maxed yet(but close) and I get shit to play PvE modes from doing this crap(shards, energy, and stats) as of now I want to warn my clan away from doing this to protest plarium, not do my job as deputy and help them play it
That's What I have been worried about the most having to communicate with other clan members. Everyone does not use discord which can really put a crutch on setups and concepts to use on defense. They have to increase the character or give a new chat for siege with no limit and able to show what teams are about to be placed. being able to share teams can be a huge help.

I could see and hear the disbelief as he spoke....one of the most hardworking people in raid community. Having to do all the mining and then the reverse engineering to come up with this video...that's tough. Thank you Saph, your work is truly appreciated. I would have liked to participate in Siege for testing and making my mind up, but my clan is too small. And yet I couldn't talk myself into changing clan for another pvp-modus
Just want to make one correction - you said the set will only be available from seige (you assume). I guarantee it'll be sold. Totally different topic - they need to revamp the chaos ore to be useful. Just make it like the dust - you can reroll it mulitiple times but the costs should go up each time. More p2w but at least it doesn't destroy a quad roll piece of gear because RNG.
Thanks for the time and effort you put into breaking this down for us. There's already SO MUCH to do in this game I have to choose where I want to spend my time...and what rises to the top is what rewards me most...so Siege is already so irrelevant to me.
13:09 If memory serves right, you have to actually get to gold 1 3v3 arena in order to get Ramantu. In a sense , he too is locked behind mandatory "victories". About the same could be said for Quintus, although the performance requirement is not the same ( harder or simpler depending on player).
I think you're right about the overall assessment here. That said, I expect the rewards will improve substantially after the first couple siege events. My hope is that plarium is setting the rewards low while everyone learns the ropes. Since we all start at T1, there will probably a lot of mismatches to start out. I could be wrong though. I do like the gameplay mode that siege offers, so I hope the rewards improve.
Does anyone else have the problem that no opposing Clan has been found in Hydra Clash? Finally one week in which I don't have to play Hydra for 4-5 hours (all 3 battles combined) in order to win maybe nothing.
Still excited regardless of rewards. I enjoy the interactive parts of the game, like helping ppl out on various forums, live arena with other players, Hydra clash planning, and CvC pushing. Those are surprisingly the highlights for me.
This is why your the best ,in all the Game mode we need to put one man defence In tag arena 1 man defence we all need to help make it easy for ourselves So all player can get , It is so hard to reach in goal in 3V3
Totally agree Saph. I'm in a low lvl guild so knowing we are mostley gona be tier 1-3 at best seeing years as the numbers for drops. There is a very high chance my guild mates will just not communicate & just do what they want. It's gona cause all sorts of guild problems & that's even without the dismal drop rates!

(I've never received a single useful item from Clan vs. Clan, for example.) And given how dreadful Plarium's matchup algorithm must be (have you SEEN the teams in Arena's Silver Tier?!?), I'm expecting Clan Siege to be truly horrific. I see no reason for most players to participate, since we haven't built Arena teams and have no interest in doing so. This is a gigantic waste of time. And I'll make a general observation: OF COURSE the rewards are not merely paltry, but unachievable for the majority of players. That's the Plarium Way. Question: Does the Siege happen if an opponent doesn't set a defense? I thought I saw a requirement for a minimum of 15 defenders; if a Clan decides "Fuck this," do they get excluded from the pool? Plarium is the best endorsement for playing any other game (personally I am waiting for the new FATELESS game coming to a new game/play/app store near you), so yeah I do not even want to play this mode but I to support my clan.
At hydra clash launch they had really poor rewards aswell on the first week because of a "testing phase". I'll assume they will say the same thing again and up the rewards on the next siege round
As a player who has been playing for less than a year, it’s pretty hard to get all the champs and upgrade them to compete at a high pvp level, loving the game but yeah pvp just ain’t for me and yeah these rewards what the actual……! Thanks for the content though Saph, keep it up cheers
If players don't make Plarium change it right now it's never gonna change. Plarium will just find new excuses why they can't give better rewards, or wait for years to change it
Yup definitely the rewards don't meet the time investment. They NEED NEED to reduce time in-game. This isn't MMORPG. You shouldn't need more then 2hrs in raid to finish everything for max rewards return
My clan is Tier 1. And has been for so many years. (F2P clan) And as a clan leader, I'm actually crying because of all the increased work I'm going to do just so I might get a champion in 41 years.... Thanks Plarium for again focusing on the Krakens and ignoring the poor
This might sound like a stupid question, but is there any confirmation anywhere whether or not arena auras work in siege. Seen as it is an arena mode but its not in the arena tab..
Wish community would boycott this until rewards are worth participating. What the winner gets here, should be for the losing team. Winners should get at least a full primal, I know 4 dollars seem like a crazy amount. Pvp gear set, with those drop rates you won't have a 9 piece set good enough for the arena ever.
Great video Saph. Every other mobile game I've ever played with a vs mode for clan/guild/etc have the best rewards the game offer in that mode, it's the only way to galvanise a group to commit the time and effort required to coordinate in this fashion. It's possible that Plarium are low-balling the rewards at launch because as a developer you can always raise rewards but without signing you games death warrant you can't lower them. I personally think they will raise the rewards in a few weeks but they it won't be by enough and the game mode will die a death. Plarium don't seem to care about PvP - they've basically let all the games other PvP modes fester and die. (Sorry for being so negative.... just trying to be honest)
I remember a great defence game system called Stronghold kingdoms, where by you built castles to defend. Not sure as a clan leader I will bother asking my clan to do this. Raid is not a game for collective endeavour, nor am I going to spend time trying to manufacture some kind of community chat option, as the rewards, even for a level 45 account are piss poor. I don't even play at a level where by polymorph is ever an issue, as I still have not got to unlock Arbiter in over 4 years of game play!
Key phrase. "I don't have time to play". There is a lot to do in Raid. I can't play it 24/7. I have to pick where I invest my TIME, which is the scarcest resource in the game.
Talking about the odds of getting specific gear: I´m playing 4 years now and in my thousands of Dragon runs so far I got 3 pairs of 6 star legionary Speed/speed boots, 3 pairs of 6 star epic boots and one mythical... that´s not really much, so I use also the 7 rare boots, 1 uncommon and even 4 common 6 stars... I mean... all in all in 4 years I got only 19 Speed/speed boots
**Back at Plarium HQ** "Yes, and this is why we don't let you have access to the test server Saph" But yeah, this isn't shocking - you just have to look at how they implemented Maud where people spent years and years worth of old Fragments and aren't even halfway done.
getting a siege chest should, at a minimum, guarantee a primal shard for winning. Assuming your class has a 50% win rate, that would be a 1 primal shard a month. That won't break the economy in the slightest.
when I posted on Raid official YT that I like the new lego but I wont get there - they say I will... but they did not specify to me that I need to be in a winning clan, and not just playing the game
regarding rewards in Raid in general, we continue to suffer from the demon lord clan boss reward structure. I think Plarium realizes they made those rewards pretty good for all players and thus any new rewards system is implemented EXCEEDINGLY nerfed
I don't know about other clans but I think most clans are just random strangers, some just don't care about team effort. Getting a win will be incredible luck because either clan matchup or having enough tank accounts to get the wins so the leeches benefit.
Clan leader here...and I have to say I'm not real thrilled they've done nothing to update communication in the game. Clan chat sucks. It only saves so many messages, and it gets cleared every 24 hours anyway...or every time they do a maintenance, which last week was like every 4 hours? We have to use discord because for some reason, they want us to have this time intensive mode, but don't want to make it easier for us to co-ordinate. Bravo, Plarium....

The community: Plarium plz, the time needed to complete every aspect of the game on a daily basis is way too much if you have a life, a job and a social life. So please, do something about that. Also, all PvP modes in the game are ranging from meh to unbearable, maybe this could be changed enhanced? Plarium: Gotcha fam, let's put more stuff into the game. PvP you said, yes let's put more PvP hidden behind some random backstory in. Everybody is used to lacking rewards so that is something we'll carry over to that game mode as well. There you go. Also, be prepared to be dearly punished for spending your time when you are not winning - so about CvC-levels of motivation-killing non-incentive. We're happy to rob you.
I‘d like to mention another issue regarding the Artefact Rewards: This Set becomes irrelevant since it‘s first two bonuses are the same as the Perception Set and the Anti-Sheep Bonus is hitting to late. If I‘m looking at the current PvP then I‘m facing stone skin all over the place and stone skin is and still will be the best way to go for PvP - especially for people like me who are not quiet into PvP. No need to say that your inventory is drowning as a mid- to endgame player of all these 5* Artefakt Items. Therefor I‘m not quiet willing to spend more effort as needed into a CvC Mode which denys to compensate the time needed to take this event very serious on all strategic aspects.
I was still optimistic for this mode even though so many people already hated it but this video definitely took the last but of hype i still had for this mode. Plarium has to buff these rewards and i think they will

The reward discussion was the same with some other game content. Afterwards Plarium introduced more places/oppurtunities to aquire stuff.

If players don't make Plarium change it right now it's never gonna change. Plarium will just find new excuses why they can't give better rewards, or wait for years to change it
Yup definitely the rewards don't meet the time investment. They NEED NEED to reduce time in-game. This isn't MMORPG. You shouldn't need more then 2hrs in raid to finish everything for max rewards return

This might sound like a stupid question, but is there any confirmation anywhere whether or not arena auras work in siege. Seen as it is an arena mode but its not in the arena tab..

Wish community would boycott this until rewards are worth participating. What the winner gets here, should be for the losing team. Winners should get at least a full primal, I know 4 dollars seem like a crazy amount. Pvp gear set, with those drop rates you won't have a 9 piece set good enough for the arena ever.
Great video Saph. Every other mobile game I've ever played with a vs mode for clan/guild/etc have the best rewards the game offer in that mode, it's the only way to galvanise a group to commit the time and effort required to coordinate in this fashion. It's possible that Plarium are low-balling the rewards at launch because as a developer you can always raise rewards but without signing you games death warrant you can't lower them.
I personally think they will raise the rewards in a few weeks but they it won't be by enough and the game mode will die a death. Plarium don't seem to care about PvP - they've basically let all the games other PvP modes fester and die.
(Sorry for being so negative.... just trying to be honest)
This did absolutely take all my steam out of trying out this competitively.

I remember a great defence game system called Stronghold kingdoms, where by you built castles to defend. Not sure as a clan leader I will bother asking my clan to do this. Raid is not a game for collective endeavour, nor am I going to spend time trying to manufacture some kind of community chat option, as the rewards, even for a level 45 account are piss poor. I don't even play at a level where by polymorph is ever an issue, as I still have not got to unlock Arbiter in over 4 years of game play!

Key phrase. "I don't have time to play". There is a lot to do in Raid. I can't play it 24/7. I have to pick where I invest my TIME, which is the scarcest resource in the game.
Talking about the odds of getting specific gear: I´m playing 4 years now and in my thousands of Dragon runs so far I got 3 pairs of 6 star legionary Speed/speed boots, 3 pairs of 6 star epic boots and one mythical... that´s not really much, so I use also the 7 rare boots, 1 uncommon and even 4 common 6 stars... I mean... all in all in 4 years I got only 19 Speed/speed boots
**Back at Plarium HQ** "Yes, and this is why we don't let you have access to the test server Saph" But yeah, this isn't shocking - you just have to look at how they implemented Maud where people spent years and years worth of old Fragments and aren't even halfway done.
I wouldn't be surprised if Plarium adds a way to use Live Arena medals to give a boost in Clan Wars
this is why we have a Re-Roll Ores - so you can x2 the rewards here as you upgrade crap to 12 and try reroll everything
getting a siege chest should, at a minimum, guarantee a primal shard for winning. Assuming your class has a 50% win rate, that would be a 1 primal shard a month. That won't break the economy in the slightest.
when I posted on Raid official YT that I like the new lego but I wont get there - they say I will... but they did not specify to me that I need to be in a winning clan, and not just playing the game
regarding rewards in Raid in general, we continue to suffer from the demon lord clan boss reward structure. I think Plarium realizes they made those rewards pretty good for all players and thus any new rewards system is implemented EXCEEDINGLY nerfed

I don't know about other clans but I think most clans are just random strangers, some just don't care about team effort. Getting a win will be incredible luck because either clan matchup or having enough tank accounts to get the wins so the leeches benefit.

Clan leader here...and I have to say I'm not real thrilled they've done nothing to update communication in the game. Clan chat sucks. It only saves so many messages, and it gets cleared every 24 hours anyway...or every time they do a maintenance, which last week was like every 4 hours? We have to use discord because for some reason, they want us to have this time intensive mode, but don't want to make it easier for us to co-ordinate. Bravo, Plarium....

The community: Plarium plz, the time needed to complete every aspect of the game on a daily basis is way too much if you have a life, a job and a social life. So please, do something about that. Also, all PvP modes in the game are ranging from meh to unbearable, maybe this could be changed enhanced?
Plarium: Gotcha fam, let's put more stuff into the game. PvP you said, yes let's put more PvP hidden behind some random backstory in. Everybody is used to lacking rewards so that is something we'll carry over to that game mode as well. There you go. Also, be prepared to be dearly punished for spending your time when you are not winning - so about CvC-levels of motivation-killing non-incentive. We're happy to rob you.
I‘d like to mention another issue regarding the Artefact Rewards:
This Set becomes irrelevant since it‘s first two bonuses are the same as the Perception Set and the Anti-Sheep Bonus is hitting to late.
If I‘m looking at the current PvP then I‘m facing stone skin all over the place and stone skin is and still will be the best way to go for PvP - especially for people like me who are not quiet into PvP.
No need to say that your inventory is drowning as a mid- to endgame player of all these 5* Artefakt Items.
Therefor I‘m not quiet willing to spend more effort as needed into a CvC Mode which denys to compensate the time needed to take this event very serious on all strategic aspects.
9:25 I fear for the weaker ones in the clan. They have to win a match to get any rewards. There might not be any for them.

Im just wondering who thought that it will be good idea to introduce cooperative mode without way to directly cooperate in game.
I agree with you and to add I joined raid because I don't like PvP games thankfully our clan will not play this game mode just put whatever defence and don't care what happens and we are part of a big cluster

Live Arena is the worst...then tag team and then classic arena. PvP is pretty boring in Raid.
