- Hal Ngai Lam - The word 'Hal Ngai' is a Thadou - Kuki word which literally means 'Needed to be fixed' therefore Hal Ngai means mixture of different dances. This dance is performed by Thado tribe of Kuki clan.
Viewer Gracy Haokip tells us that this is the Gangpijang Cultural troupe. She suggests that they are the pride of the Kukis!
The Sangai Festival, previously known as the Tourism festival, was renamed in 2010. The state animal of Manipur, the Sangai Deer, being the inspiration for the name. The deer’s name “Sangai” was encouraged due to its peculiar posture and behavior while running. This Sangai, rare and only found in Manipur, bears resemblance to species found in Thailand, Myanmar and China, all belonging to the same family. Local cuisine, attire, dances and traditions were celebrated with other countries from the Asian region - Myanmar, Thailand and China were welcomed warmly as part of this festive occasion.

Gangpijang is a village in sadar hills in manipur known for thei love and interest in cultural dance of the Thadou tribe of Kuki. The traditional attire used here are the originals worn by our grandfather which are preserved generation to generation. The song sung here are a blended version of our traditional song and modern day folk song.
