"When I was 15, I formed the All American Rejects. This was my high school band. Always there in our everyday life were Tommy and Jennifer, a member's older sister and brother-in-law. Tommy was the older brother I never had. Kind and wise, he was my mentor and family to me.
Tommy was shot and killed at the age of 25, on the morning of 30th November. Jennifer, his wife, had hired his murderer.
This event completely devastated and shattered my reality. I quit the Rejects and was very lost. I soon found the piano and started moving towards a deeper place inside, artistically, which has shaped me to this day. For many years, I had avoided this trauma and couldn’t touch the subject. I pushed it out, only for it to haunt me more recently.
Writing this song is the way for me to heal and remember my old pal, Tommy."

Being a former music teacher of Jesse in the very town Jesse describes the situation that shocked not only Jesse but the whole town. We Wait brought tears to my eyes when first hearing this touching, heart-felt song. Great job Jesse. One of my favorite songs of yours that stays with me. 👋👋👋

Having listened to Other Lives for almost a decade, if this song is any indication, the new album will be their best yet. We Wait is one of the most beautifully written and composed songs I’ve heard from you guys.

It was October 31st 2014, the day I first came across Other Lives's music. I reckon that day every year ever since, and will keep doing so for many years to come, hopefully!

It's about the loss of his friend Tommy killed by Jennifer Wheeler. They were married and Jennifer didn't want a divorce so she got her side man to shoot him and stage a Robbery. Jennifer was the bands agent and family member of Jesse wheeler.

Ma vie à changé quand j’ai découvert Kunek, puis Other Lives... Ta musique berce et accompagne ma vie dans le tourment ou la joie depuis de longues années. Elle est sincère et profonde.
