I think he's the best passer and playmaker in the NBA right now.

Russel westbrook's my favorite pg but cp3 is without a doubt the best pg in the league n has been for years, and you act like rondo didn't have 3 fucking superstars for years now, Cp3 had a terrible hornets team. john wall also had the worst offensive team in the league and averaged over 8 assts. but that doesn't make him the best. rondo avgs. 9 assts. on 3 t/os a game with a PER of 14, cp3 avgs 11 assts on 2.3 t/os a game on a PER of 25.

Jerry Bird Yea dude you obvisouly know nothing about Rajon Rondo. He has the most triples doubles in the league of any point guard right now. He may not be the best in the league right because un like some point guards "derrick rose" he doesn't want to tear his ACL again. Rondo has court vision unlike any player I have seen in a while, his ball handling skills are unreal and the way he gets to the rim is amazing every time its like he dancing almost. Another reason he has a ring…. So yea say because of Pierce, Garnett and Allen. So then what about Chris Paul, what he excuse? He got Jordan, Griffin, Crawford and shit ton other good players on the team. Same with Derrick Rose and Westbrook, Joakim Noah, Carloz boozer, Taj Gibson, Kevin Durant, Serge Ilbaka, Sefelosha. Just saying Rondo deserves the credit as possibly being one of the top 15 point guards of all time, maybe 10.
I wish rondo the best and I hope that he can get on top of his game like a few years back. by far the most fearless point guard in the league. he doesn't give a fuck who hes going against, he'll guard anyone.

Numbers are numbers. Sometimes they matter sometimes they dont. Rondo shot has improved alot. Which is why he has already past his 3 pt total from last season.

Kdog, I agree. You're gonna see this guy's free throw and 3pt percentages improve in the next few years. Why? Because the guy is a workhorse and he'll do whatever it takes to continue in this league. His shooting will become more important the older he gets, and he sure as hell isn't stupid with these things.
He's a great player but....l.lRondo can't shoot. Therefore not making him completely all around.

I have to say, although the Celtics had a pretty bad season this year, their fans stayed loyal and nearly packed the whole stadiums, that's a true fan base and non-bandwagoners, and this is coming from a Spurs fan

Congrats on yet another championship too. You guys play like the Celtics of the 60's and 80's, with complete emphasis on team play and not individual performances. It's a breath of fresh air the way the Spurs go about it.

I'll have to admit, I've been a bandwagon when the celtics were doing great in 2009. But I've actually grown a true connection with The celtics (especially rondo). I've been a celtics fan ever since!
Of all point guards in the league, Rondo isn't the best, but with regards to pure passing talent, he, arguably, might be. Those setups, those bounce passes, those behind-the-back passes, and those thread-the-needle passes where there doesn't even appear to be a lane... dazzling.
He's one of the best. (Top 3).
Rondo IS the best passing PG in the league. Although the stats from last season may not show it, Rondo is better than CP3, Parker, Lillard, Wall, in terms of pure passing.

icegigi fish I mean everybody says that...its all about what kind of roster they can put together after next year....and if Danny Ainge wants to keep him...if he has a bounce back season...there going to want to sign him...but so will multiple championship caliber teams...for ex. the Knicks next offseason will have cap space to sign him and a Lamarcus Aldrige or K Love Depending on his situation.
He has the best court vision among all point guards today. Period.

As a Mavs fan seeing the pickups theyve made, Rondo is definitely my favorite even as a huge Parsons fan pre-Mavs. I'm sure my man Dirk is happy as can be and this season just turned into more chaos in the west

I think this video proves to the Rondo detractors that he can put up ridiculous assist #'s no matter who is on his team. People really used to think he had inflated stats from playing with KG, Pierce, and Ray Allen.

people ik basketball and this guy might not be a good shooter but he makes his teammates look great and that's what coaches love especially from their pg he has a series of layups, floaters, runners, and finger rolls which are high percentage shots and very hard to defend he lives in the paint looking to pass first and draw defenders to him to set others up he is not physical but he is finesse and he has gifted large hands which make him a better ball handler and passer and he also has long arms and is still quick so he is also a great defender very underrated cuz he isn't the most flashy and his team isn't filled with stars but he is definitely top 6 pg in the league put him on a good solid team then they can win a championship jus like the old Celtics with ray paul and kg

Rondo is the best true point guard in the league right now, people now expect point guards to be constantly driving into the paint trying to score like CP3 and Irving when the real job of a point guard is to just have good hands, speed, agility, great passing and great court vision and Rondo excels at all of these

As a long time Mavs fan, this is really exciting for me. I mean this is Steve Nash all over again just with better defense and a hell of good rebounding. Rondo comming to Mavs will have much Better shooters all around him with Parsons, Ellis and Nowitzki. Don't forget AMAZING JUMP OUT OF THE GYM ALLEY OOPS to Tyson chandler. Plus with a great coach like Rick Carlisle. Damn this Mavs team is not joking for real. The west will be hella fun to watch AGAIN! Rondo with his amazing awareness and playmaking will probably be dishing 18 apg. This puts the Mavs ahead of most teams in my opinion put just a tad short of the Spurs. But still think they can beat them. So I'm saying Mavs and Spurs in WCF. Then I'll put them in the finals against the Cavs. But this a major upgrade at point for us! Can't wait til tonight against. We might be seeing back to back overtime thrillers!.........by the way it's amazing how the Spurs have went to triple overtime twice and lost by both amazing point guards like Mike Conley and Damian lillard!

love KLove, but trust me, Davis is the real deal, dont forget faried and ibaka. Griffin's numbers are inflated, and at this point Aldridge has all the skill sets as Duncan + his youth. I agree its tough but i got to stick by what ive witnessed in Davis so far, and expect him to be even more impressive next season. In his prime, Davis will be everything you want from a 4. Aggressive under the rim, and the centerpiece to your defense... as well as money from the 18 footer.

Best true PG in the game. Doesn't need to perform fancy handles or crossovers. Doesn't need to score 25+ points a game. Rondo just needs to play good defense, rebound, and provide for his teammates. That's what a PG is meant for! Take notes little kids.
