- For someone in the US or Europe to travel to Africa, it is a piece of cake. But for an African to travel to any of these parts of the world, they almost go through hell. The visa application process for many Western countries can often feel like a frustrating and exploitative game. In fact, we will call it an exploitative game and we will tell you why. These nations, well aware of the high demand from people seeking to visit, work, or live there, seem to take advantage of applicants' hopes and desperation. It's not uncommon to see long queues of individuals, some of whom may be genuinely pursuing academic opportunities or planning legitimate visits, waiting for hours at embassy doors. Yet, the unfortunate reality is that a significant percentage of these applicants, often as high as 90%, are ultimately denied their visas, despite having paid hefty application fees that can range from $150 to $200 or more. Many are asked to provide extensive documentation, including six months of bank statements and detailed personal histories, only to have their applications dismissed without even being looked at. This practice suggests that the primary goal is to collect fees rather than genuinely assess eligibility.

Only what is needed is our Africa leaders to wake up and start to have value for us the citizens and to put good images for our countries rather than enjoying enjoying in comfort of shame.
