Lotus versus the Dragon : An annual Lotus Driving Event in the Great Smoky Mountains and legendary Tail of the Dragon.
This footage is a recap of our 2024 Lotus event, on May 17th-19th, 2024. This is THE Premier Lotus Driving Event in America, where we will be doing guided drives exceeding 700 miles over our three-day weekends.
We started our Smoky Mountain Drives events in 2020, and do monthly drives open to any car from March through November. We do custom events, private drives for small groups and large car clubs. Being a Lotus owner ourselves, we have had a huge demand for a Lotus only event so it was time to get it going!
For three days every May, we will be driving hundreds of miles of the greatest roads our country has to offer. The mountains of Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina are home to the greatest driving roads in America, including the legendary Tail of the Dragon with 318 curves in 11 miles, the Cherohala Skyway, Moonshiner 28, Hellbender, Blue Ridge Parkway, Foothills Parkway, Devil's Triangle, and many, many more. We are local to the area and take you through all of the iconic roads you've heard about, but through hundreds of miles of equally fantastic roads that are much less travelled and only known by few.

Well, THAT was fairly anticlimactic. Cool music. Dramatic closeups of the cars. Nice wide shots....of them following one another in a well spaced formation going around the curves of the dragon.
In four minutes, you've managed to make a very exciting piece of Americana road aptly named "The Dragon" look more like "The Earthworm."
