In 1974 I was hitchhiking from near Watford to Mallory to watch the race of the year. I was picked up by a bloke in an Imp Californian whose son was racing a seeley framed konig. As he had a pit pass, we drove into the paddock and I didn't have to pay any entrance money. I then watched the day's racing from the paddock. Somewhere in my slide collection is a picture of me sat on his bike. I'm just wondering if this is the same one.
An amazing kiwi and to achieve all that in the early 70s..truly incredible
God Konig's sound great, beautiful machine .Goose pimples folks!!!
Awesome bike, my dad used to race the DAVAL KONIG in the early 80s, this is my uncle in the video,.
Apart from the 250/350 classes there was such a interesting variation of bikes in them days.
one of perhaps the best sounding 2 strokes (In my opinion) used to watch them race on hydroplanes in my local broad!
They sound fantastic, absolutely fantastic!!
