Mel is one of the most real guys you'll ever run across. A fine bloke and excellent CZcamsr. His videos arnt just informative, but dang entertaining too. Did I just use the word Bloke? I'm an American for cryin out loud! See? I've watched alot of his vids.

The high quality layout and production of the book really takes it to another level.
Obviously many of us are well aware of the skills Mel possesses on his channel, & his vast knowledge of all things ‘terrain’. This book I’m sure would be invaluable, the images inside look superb. Great review of it, loadsa info, would certainly be worth a closer look..😯👍
For everyone wondering where to buy; the first wave here was funded as a Kickstarter so early adopters getting books now; a recent update on Kickstarter is they plan to get the book into routine distribution in US, UK end of January (soft date). I'm not an official rep; just putting this because I had same question. Search "Terrain Essentials Kickstarter" and watch the updates feed on Kickstarter. Happy 2021 when it comes :)

Top Bloke and I have plenty of tips in my head from his video tutorials . I had followed him from way back when . Looks like a really good book to get . But please stop turning pages from bottom near the spline . Start top right and flow hand behind . Does my head in
If Mark did that it'd mean the book gets a bit more obscured through the video - we sacrifice our pages for the sake of you folks - trust us, it hurts our souls too!

I think Nel book is awesome and also can be used for model train layout to. The book helps beginners be able to learn basic skill sets and give encouragment to improve on your own skill sets

It was a Kickstarter but a recent update they have given a "soft" date of 29 Jan for it to become routinely available in US, and UK shortly after. Just search Terrain Essentials Kickstarter and watch the updates feed there

I'm hoping it's more than just a collation of his back catalogue as it's all on YT. Either way, good luck to him- he's one of the hobby's good guys.
It is a culmination of a ton of his tips - there's obviously some crossover but this is largely a reference book that I reckon provides a good accompaniment to his videos - you can get to the info you want at the flip of a page.
So is it available yet? I absolutely cannot wait for this!
