- I love watching the first 30 minutes of another Artist work and I hope you enjoyed this as well! I was thinking of doing this for a series that is a bit different than just a Drawing with Dave, where those are just random sessions in any piece. This shows my exact first 30 minutes or so when diving into a fully rendered piece. Thanks for watching!

David thank you so much for sharing this video. You are the Bob Ross of the digital canvas!
I love how a blank canvas becomes more then just that, with a few lines even. It's so cool to watch it grow into something more.
Man, you are great! Your arts amazing! Every time I see you, and think that you looks like the character Negan from the Walking Dead
Omg, so true!!!!
Big agree that this is the stage of a painting that is the most important to see from a pro. I personally get allot out of stuff like this. Please do make more of these videos !! You rock dude.
man this is super helpful, i totally agree with the first 30 minutes being more interesting than the final rendering stages. Thanks for this video you're awesome!
This video is really helpful, the first stage of a painting for me is one of the hardest parts
I really enjoy seeing the process, especially the beginning since I feel like it's the most difficult to begin. Thank you for this! :D
I really like to see the start of a piece. It really helps you understand the idea behind the picture and it also inspires other artists to try it out for themselves.
Amazing as always Dave. Would be cool to see (even in a timelapse) you finishing the piece!
I am going to timeplase this whole piece with commentary for everyone!
Good stuff. It wasn't too long or boring to look at so the duration is nice
I love that! I learn alot with video like this!
This is great, I have been trying to get a better grasp on how I should even start an Illustration, but I could never find where.. it amazes me how fast you got the anatomy of the character down, I can't even draw a head right lol
Studies! Deconstruct heads that other artists have drawn and figure out the volumes/forms, understand the base that you're drawing details on and you'll improve massively!
I've been trying to find videos of the early stages, this is perfect. Your content is my favorite! I've been learning so much, and I really appreciate it.
This was awesome thank u very much !!
currently my favorite artist. i try to watch every stream and every video you make. thank you for all the useful tips you have for us dave!
This is better than everything I've ever rendered in 10 hours of painting
I agree that the begining is the most fascinating part to watch, this is where the spark happens. But I do like watching the entire process too ^^
amazing as allways dave.
You the best bro!!!
Thank you, Dave. Your videos are always so inspirational. I'd love to see more beginning stages of your work. I think it's the most exciting part 😊
I love this type of video. I'd be excited to see more like this!
Bravo 👌👌👌
can't thank you enough for sharing your process! super valuable. congrats on going freelance!
You guys just created a dwarven race of satyrs using thay tomtom lower half!!! Sooo cool. Patten it Dave!!!!
This is what i need💪
I love those videos, I always end up up with a new fresh piece after them that I would not normally do, keep it up!
Are you back in that infernal Photoshop??
The beginning stages of a piece are my favorite to watch too. There's just so much development, everything is reduced to the most raw shapes and movements and feelings. Love it.
i love watchin long videos about the process entirly
i love every part of your process.
love this great video!
I LOVE this new series! Can't wait to see more!
Thanks for showing your starting process. I hear you on it's up there on an interesting part of the process seeing an artist start. You get to see the thoughts, the choices, moving around the canvas, etc. Keep rockin it!
CONGRATS ON YOUR FULLTIME FREEDOM MAN :D Im proud of you! and of course more vids like this ^^
Thanks Dave, thats inspiring.
That's very useful , thank you for sharing. I find starting a drawing digitally often feels quite cumbersome for me, compared to traditional media; it is great to see how you start.
I really enjoyed being able to watch the start of the piece, and hearing you talk through it when you did it. I am just starting out in learning art so types of videos like this are really helpful and enjoyable to watch while I try new techniques. Also really excited to see the final product!
i do enjoy watching the beginning of a piece :)
thank you for sharing, you inspire me, i really like your art ❤️❤️❤️
Any plans to do a series for background stuff or other artists you'd like to recommend for them? With your help, I've gotten pretty confident with my characters and have finally started to develop a art style. But I just can't wrap my head around backgrounds.
Also anyone who reads this, please feel free to give advice as well!
Side note, I enjoy watching the entire process. As long as there is commentary.
I like to see complementary parts to this piece pls I really want it 😍
I really Liked the Video, it helps to see the “Building Stage” of a Drawing, and to hear your Thought Process. This is what a lot of Videos LACK.. Also like the Title.. First 30 Mins because I feel like a lot of Artist can Benefit From a Series of these First 30 Mins Videos.. Thanks for what you Dave. 👊😎
Always love your art style Sir Dave!
Hiiii daveeeee I love your art!!!!

Loved it! can't wait for more of this new series
This series is such a good idea! Amazing creative content as always dave.
A great video. Learned alot from it and got some inspiration:) thank you. Going to watch the next part on Twitch
Welcome Back!!! Miss you so much!!!
Yes please uplaod the next part
This was awesome!! Was wondering how you started your paintings. Thanks for sharing!! :)
Я очень жду продолжения !
Hey Dave! Your stuff has been a huge inspiration to the point I am now applying to a concept art diploma program and have been trying to take classes for it. I was wondering where you learned to render characters so well? I'm mostly self-taught but I am beginning to think that being self-taught might not be enough.
멋있네요. 컬러링하는 장면을 봤으면 좋겠는데, 다소 아쉽네요. 이후 작품도 마무리 기대하겠습니다. 😙
Love the video! just wanted to point out that you made a small typo in the name of the video :)
I need the CSP versions of these brushes.
is amazing, i want a tutorial about anatomy pls
Do you change your Brush size regulary or is this just pen pressure?
Should show your reference
Does anyone know what screen recording software Dave uses? I’m trying out OBS and it does not record with such high quality as his videos. (Dave if you see this, I’d love to know! Thank you)
Ps.
Dave you’re such an inspiration! I someday hope to live the dream like you do.
hey I just started in digital painting any tips for a begginer
Amazing! I love your art. How do you do to draw anatomy?
Hey I love your art! Btw I’m your 2nd cousin
Thick! Thicc! Thick! Thicc! Thick! Thicc!
I don't think the DG_Main brush I have works, or maybe if it is an older version... because it doesn't look as smooth for me as it does on your screen :/
I get that it has texture, but 10 minutes into the video and that huge gray area to the right has a really nice smooth yet textured feel to it, and I can't get the brush to work like that unfortunately >
Hrm I would have to see it being used. I haven't heard of anyone having this issue. I wonder if there is some pressure settings of yours affecting it?
@@DaveGreco I made this entire artwork with the DG_Main, www.artstation.com/artwork/k4q2O2 (don't know if links work on youtube), especially the "mask" and his hoodie I had trouble blending the values, the blended area on the face and such I used the smudge tool for!
Maybe I'm blind, but I at least didn't feel like I got the smoothness when painting as I often see in your works!
And hmm, I am not too good with settings so I don't know what that could be xD
Besides all of this though I do love the brush and the texture it gives, I also like the "feel" of it ^-^
Umm it wont play....
working now?
Yes sir thanks!!
Lose the inset, Dave. Irt is only distracting.
she's lillia's cousin from LoL, i learn a ton from watching this vids man.
