  • Carnegie Mellon University hosted entrepreneur and energy visionary Vinod Khosla (E'78) as a guest of The Innovators Forum, a series connecting the world's top innovative minds with the university community.
    Alumnus and former university trustee Vinod Khosla is the founder of Khosla Ventures, focused on impactful clean technology and information technology investments. An entrepreneur, investor and technology fan, Khosla was a co-founder of Daisy Systems and founding CEO of Sun Microsystems where he pioneered open systems and commercial RISC processors.
    CMU Provost and Executive Vice President Mark Kamlet moderated the discussion, with a question and answer period afterward.

    I found this talk, like many others of Khosla inspiring and at the same time practical. His ability to think different and speak his mind irrespective of how much he disturbs the apple cart, prevailing notions and expert opinions is admirable. A thumbs up to this talk.

    "Society benefits for not changing things", "innovation" both are contradicting ? Am I mistakenly understood ?
