Can someone explain how it’s possible at 41:13 that he shade dashed twice in less than a second? It should be on cooldown when the boss crashes down after fainting him, no? Or am I not seeing it properly?
I don’t see him phase dashing twice- only normal dashing after a phase a dash a while after. Cooldown times look normal
The first dash is not a shade dash, the black aura around him that you might have mistaken for the shade dash animation is the recovery from a previous shade dash

@@justafurrywithinternet317 That's not the reason. Only DDark gives you i-frames, and he was using shriek. It's either because Soul Master's hitbox is smaller than the sprite suggests, or because there's a transition period where Soul Master's stagger doesn't have a hitbox yet.

easy mistake to make, as the soul master transitions into his staggered phase he loses his hitbox, then gains it once he’s in the staggered phase. using abyssal shriek manipulates the deflated frog’s hitbox to make it jitter around, allowing for what looks like it should have hit

Looks like a TAS run. I understand why people are so hesitant to believe this is legit.
1. there are weird parts where it looks like he should have been hit.
2. a lot of whats going on here is pixel perfect movement, like that of TAS
3. It's from China and there's a stigma around the Chinese cheating in games.
This could be a legit run, or it could be fake, but either way, it seems that it's being considered legit. If he did in fact do this legitimately, good on him, but also, if he was able to fool everyone into believing this is a legit run when it's not, again, good on him. Either way he's very talented.

1. Visuals do not equal hitboxes, most common mistake people make when accussing people of cheating you can see visuals overlap in almost any hitless run, including mine on my channel from a Radiant orb attack (hitbox is smaller then visual)
2. This isn't pixel perfect movement and i doubt you are the degree of skill to judge that according to your first comment #1
3. This is just stupid as fuck. There are cheaters from all countries and thinking of china cheater is a BIG OOOF.
You can be critical of runs but at least have the information and skill to make a full accusation with proof and screenshots ect. Most of these people accusing don't know shit.

I know how hit boxes work and I know thing's over lap...that' still doesn't change the fact that the way he plays looks a lot like a TAS run.
Cheaters might be everywhere, but the world has seen most of the cheaters come from China. China has a really bad problem with this and if you deny it, you are a fool and purposely being ignorant to the data. Why do you think people don't want to play online with the Chinese? Because they're known for cheating...
Like I said, this could be a legit run, but it might not be, either way it's impressive...so yea, no accusation, just stating what I see.
I actually just came across a really interesting reddit thread that was talkiing about how Chinese don't care how they succeed at something, just so long as they do.
....I mean, look at the Olympics that just happned...they were found to be cheating....so yea, you're the one with the big L on this one...BIG OOF
Don't get me wrong, other countries were found to be cheating as well, but the reddit thread that I found put a spot light on the situation that I am talking about specifically.
