I remember the shows of my childhood being so wholesome, well apart from a couple of exceptions with animals trying to get each other. Interesting that this show uses the designs from the 1977 film for Raggedy Ann and Andy, which was a good choice because 1977 movie Ann and Andy are by the best interation of the Ragdolls.

While there's probably no chronological order in Raggedy Ann and Andy, I really like to think that in this "series" they were younger and that it takes place before the movie. That's because they have more childish voices and behaviors here. Perhaps within the movie universe the dolls can become more mature and "grow" as time goes on.
Even though the Raggedys’ and the Camel’s designs are lifted from the movie, there is no real connection as most of the other toys from the movie (save for Babette who makes occasional cameos with a different design) don’t appear. It’s purely a coincidence. To me at least, the Raggedys, being children’s toys, it’s only fitting that they sound like kids themselves or at least sound childlike.
As a kid who was a fan of the movie, I remember being keen to watch this show, but as soon as I tuned in to the first episode and realized how much more childlike their voices and personalities were, I immediately lost interest.

Gooseworx (the creator of TADC) said that Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure is her favorite movie, and she wanted Digital Circus to have inspirations from it! So Ragatha is based on Ann and Goose also told Michael Kovach (the voice of Jax) to do his best Raggedy Andy impression (Mark Baker’s Andy from the movie) for Jax’s character!
This has no violence, just cuteness, perfect for children of all ages.
