      you are correct. what the guy did is absolutely wrong procedure and is not battery replacement rather is a dismember of the tablet.
      the correct way is to remove the back cover, unscrew the battery screw and replace with a new one. the process is simple and takes about five minutes....

      I tried to take the back off but was not able to lift it. I wouldn't even try to remove the screen. I think that I would break the glass.

    I'll be replacing a broken screen so this method doesn't bother me at all, nothing to lose going from the front. My only question is, why didn't you apply more adhesive to the screen back when finishing up? You already tore up the adhesive while removing the screen, both physically and chemically with alcohol. Wouldn't it be better to apply more adhesive? And what type of adhesive would it be, liquid or tape type? I haven't yet received my replacement screen and I'm wondering if the replacement has adhesive already ready to go.

    Hi I think also this is the bestway (to avoid breaking the 2 screws) to do it even if not the easiest one. You can see the difficulties to break the scews in the back in vidoe starting with the back :(.
    But I got a question for this method : how can the screen be glued again with this method ? Does it really work ?

    Sir I have a question. I did buy a used Tab S2 8" but the battery is draining so fast in like 30min, from 100% to 0% sometimes it jumps from 80% for example to 0% in no time, also it heats in the left back of the tablet, and it slows down dramatically while is not charging and the display stars flashing in green and turning on/off. I must say when connected to the charger it works like nothing, what could be causing the problem?

    Take off the back is easier. The only problem is, that after replacing the battery, I could not power on the S2 tablet. You have to press the back cover not only along the sides, but also everywhere in the middle. You hear some clicks when doing so. That apparently gives the right connections back to the tablet and it starts without problems. Without the cover attached firmly the tablet won't start.

    • @MovilonePhoneRepair
      @MovilonePhoneRepair  Před 2 lety

      Rene, this is not the correct way to procede. You need to open it, back and see the connection ( the flex cable) of the battery and the power button. Best regards and good luck

    While the back panel does come off with force, the proper repair is done by removing the screen. There are two screws that hold the rear cover on. If you remove the back cover, you will pull the retainer nuts from the back cover. Why did Samsung make this a difficult repair?

    my sm-T810 galaxy tab s2 started exploding in slow motion. the tablet started to bulge from the inside.. the glass started coming off.. the back panel started coming off.. but the tablet worked.. (except it seemed to discharge too fast if i used it to view IP camera in1080p. so.. since the tablet opened itself i took off the back.. and there was the battery.. it looked like a bag of popped popcorn. swollen and rounded. I didnt take it apart till my new battery arrived from amazon. cus i figured the onlything inside a tablet that would swell up is the battery. hte new battery was square.. nothing round or pudgy about it. problem is the new battery was DOA. it's simple slide a plastic thing around the back cover.. whatever is holding it down pops off one bit at a time. dont bend it.. but rather from under it with your plastic object push on the back plate and it comes off one bit at a time. then take off back.. then disconnect ribbon from battery to board (at the board) just lift it up it sticks like velcro. then undo 4 tiny tiny screws that hold the battery in. it's that simple. looks like 3x the work going in from the front.. btw if my tablet does not get fixed soon i will never buy another samsung product again for the rest of my life.. just like i wont buy HP products (they screwed me on a warrenty once 30 years ago when very very expensive cd drives were being developed) LI batteries seem to have circuits that brick them if their voltage drops to zero. then in fully discharged state the chemestry of the battery makes it dangerous.. so the charging circuits brick them. during normal use your devicves might say battery is 0.. but it's not.. its still got a reserve to keep it from being totally dead (and thus bricked). LI batteries are firebombs held back by the charging and safety circuits that do this to you. when your battery has low or 0 charge and you do not use it it can go to a REAL dead battery.. no reserve.. in such cases your device will not charge.. your screwed.. you somehow need a new battery which has a charge on it.. (if they ship you a battery that has been on teh shelf too long it's a brick too) So that's my current status.. throwing money away left and right.. wishing i had bought a more disposible tablet rather than a 600 dollar one.. I might buy lenonovs from now on. samsung does not know how to marry batterie tech to devices.

    REALLY REALLY REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS METHOD.
    If you try this method, the probability is very high that the digitiser (touch screen) and the LCD behind it will break (like mine did), these cost about 200 euros new or 100 euros as a second hand part.
    The back and menu buttons will also break as they are stuck to the screen.
    Instead the rear cover can be taken off and the battery removed, maybe a couple of little clips break, but the battery cover costs 25 euros to replace with a new one.
    Sooo.... 25 euros for possibly replacing battery cover, Vs. 200 for the screen and digitiser
    Wish I'd removed the battery cover,

And, in the second place if you do not have specific tools and some experience ... it is quite difficult to perform this repair; it s not the easier repair that i ve done ( and this model of Samsung Tab i ve opened several times and i never broke the scren). let me know if you have any question.
