From Wikipedia
Interstate 71 (I-71) is a north-south Interstate Highway in the Great Lakes/Midwestern and Southeastern region of the United States. Its southern terminus is at an interchange with I-64 and I-65 (the Kennedy Interchange) in Louisville, Kentucky, and its northern terminus at an interchange with I-90 in Cleveland, Ohio. I-71 runs concurrently with I-75 from a point about 20 miles (32 km) south of Cincinnati, Ohio, into downtown Cincinnati. Almost three-quarters of the route lies east of I-75, thereby putting it out of its proper place in the Interstate grid. While most odd numbered Interstates are north-south, I-71 however is designated more of a northeast-southwest highway and mainly a regional route, serving Kentucky and Ohio. It links I-80 and I-90 to I-70, and ultimately (via I-65) links to I-40. Major metropolitan areas served by I-71 includes Louisville, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland.
The first section of I-71 in Louisville opened in December 1966 between its terminus at Spaghetti Junction and Zorn Avenue, its first exit. Its junction with I-264 opened in July 1968, and the complete Kentucky portion of the interstate was opened to the public in July 1969. At that point, it replaced U.S. Route 42 as the primary link between Cincinnati and Louisville.
I-71 may not be the widest, most exciting interstate to travel in Louisville Metro BUT it is the most beautiful! Lush greenery! Huge rock walls! And all the beautiful mansions peaking through the treetops/hills
They must be widening that stretch of I-71 outside of the Gene Snyder loop...seems to be a lot of rock blasting going on there
Yeah. They’re also widening a portion of the Gene Syner (i265) Since the east end is the really the only part of Louisville that is growing
As I-71 ends south near Downtown Louisville, KY, the Kennedy Interchange is so huge and complex and is one of the biggest 5-way interchanges in the world.
Yes, it was quite an interchange
Yeah it’s almost just as large as our central downtown area! 😿😿
It may be “impressive” but it’s also “uncalled for” and kinda “eyerolling”
Nice drive along I 71 Louisville KY
Great video Kentucky Mike love your interstate videos bro
I-71 ends south in Louisville just like US 42, but it also ends north in Cleveland like US 42 because I-71 parallels US 42 for most of it's length. However, US 42 doesn't make it to Columbus, but instead bypasses Columbus and before I-71, between Cincinatti, Columbus and Cleveland or Ohio's 3 Big Cs aka Ohio's Top 3 biggest cities, people use US 22, US 62, US 23 and back to US 42 as those routes.
#funfacts
US Route 42 goes through Plain City, not far to the west of Dublin, that's as close it gets to Columbus. State Route 3, however, is three blocks to the east of where I live.

I can't help but watching why are people in the passing Lane preventing others from getting over? I've also watched people in the blind spot speeding up to prevent them from getting over
The left lane hogs were out in force that day. Some people just don’t have good driving etiquette.
I noticed that there is a left Exit that a lot of people used so that is prob a reason for that
Where is the i71 downgrade??where the school bus crashed?
School bus crash occurred about 35 miles further north on 71 from where this video was recorded
Kids on a trip through their church who had a fun day at the King's Island Amusement Park north of Cincinnati.
@@fromthehaven94 i hate that downgrade…the one on the other side coming up north is the worse
