Just came by for a monthly visit to this awesome version of a classic. Love the great Great Gretsch sound thru the Line 6. I have a '63 6119 Tennessean and a Musicman 2-10 65 that mimics your tone pretty close. Thanks again for this video!
Ritchie died in Feb 1959. The song didn't exist until its release in Aug 1959 and became a hit in Sept 1959. The movie was ultra fiction so was the ending. Sorry Ritchie RIP
I have loved this song since I was a boy. Thanks for the nice reminder and done very nice. I took the time to learn it your way and now I will use it when I perform. It nice nostalgia number that will go well with my audience.
Really nice job and nice guitar as well :oD I luv that tune Santo and Johnny really hit the stars with that one, back then!! long live the golden tunes. Keep Rocking cheers Tony
PSHEW!!! Thank you, sir. that was beautiful. One of my tip-top favorite tunes ever. Oddly that tune seldom fails to put me a little on the misty side. Your playing of it didn't fail there either. I truly hope I can play it that good one day...on a Gretsch! :-) Be well.
I always love to watch this played. Once I put my B-5 on my tele, this is the song I'm going to learn the finer points of the vibrato with. I never like full whammy, but the Bigsby just "sends me." ;)
I was a kid when the tune was on radio as a top 100 hit...still moving..Santo an Johnny.
That was beautiful. The sound you got out of that guitar is truly gripping... It was magical listening to this!

Great sweet sound!!!! Thank you!! Fabio from Italy
The first time that I heard this song is when I went to see the movie "LABAMBA" and loved it ever since. Very haunting melody.
Among the best -ever- covers of sleepwalk. Tone, character, vibe, and simplicity.
