    I bought a pair Nov 2023. Amazing budget speakers. I had an issue with the crossovers. They came unglued from the binding post bracket. The glue they use is terrible. Comes right off. Used Gorilla adhesive and supported the long crossovers better. They are long and not very well supported, so probably got jarred in shipping and made the crappy glue come off. Sadly Mission would do nothing for me. No repair, replacement or anything. Just advised me to glue myself. But they otherwise sound awesome and are made very well. Wish they continued the heavy gauged wire all the way to tweeter.

  • @benkrake3678
    @benkrake3678 Před 2 lety +2

    Hey Tee-jay, it’s been a while, you’ve been well! It’s not very often that you see a bookshelf speaker that is inverted, with the woofer on top and the tweeter on the bottom, and have never seen a speaker design, with the crossover soldered right on the binding post. That’s a really good idea, which I’d imagine would shorten the signal path! Very curious to check them out myself, but don’t have the room for another pair!
    I have seen that Dynaudio have released a new revised version of my bookshelf’s, the Emit M20. It’s too bad that Dynaudio are stingy about shipping out speakers to audio reviewers. I really think if they just agreed to do this, they would get a lot more attention! The price of the new Emit M20’s have gone up a bit, compared to the original M20’s. Think the new M20’s were around $1699.00AUD, and the old ones were $1299.00AUD.
    Anyways, I always enjoy your videos, keep rockin! 🤘😎

    The bracing is impressive, most speakers in this price range don't have this much. The crossover looks like they could have spent a tad more on it though,. 2 iron core inductors seems like penny pinching. Once again, good content. Thanks

    I like that you say your opinion free & subjective and the way you do the reviews :)
    I would like to ask here few questions please:
    Are they the Lx2 or Lx 3 (mkii ver.)?
    How, do you guys believe, they 'll behave in a small relative room like bedroom, on the top of Tv furniture (wood) about 80 cm height , 40 mm wide, and how close to wall can i put them. If you have any experience with these or similar partnering with Rotel amp. (e.g. A11 Tribute).
    Thanks for your patient and understanding!

      Great for the price I bought them to go with Marantz PM6006 the older model of the current PM6007 which both designed to drive 4ohm

      @@nicotorres5867 The Marantz PM6006 /Mission QX2 Mk 2 is my number 2 system - just for the dining area. I don't play it very loud. Excellent stereo separation.
      Sound is much less forward & less etched & less analytical (some might find recessed than my main Naim /Focal set up. It has a very front to back Soundstage
      This makes for a very unfatiguing listen with a surprising amount of less harsh soft bass (rolled off) Speaker build & control are a bargain at this price point (UK retail £349 - so around 400 USD) I would think they would sound a little cleaner with the new "Mission 778" amp (rrp £549 or £799 marketed as package by them. As I understand its essentially an Audiolab 6000 inside. Hope this helps 👍🙂
