There’s two little chimpanzees in two other zoos that would have a wonderful time playing with Ibuki , Plum and Dill the mischievous rascals would be keeping all the adults on their toes .
I like how the other chimps just left Ibuki to have his tantrum when he lost that toy fight, just with all the children in the background could be encouraged not to be making those screaming noises trying to imitate the chimps , because that could get the chimpanzees worked up and start them fighting them one of the little ones could get hurt.
Hi Polar Bear 🐻❄️ I hope you’re well my wonderful friend and enjoying the weekend. If you have any influence with Tama zoo please try to ensure they don’t try to transfer any of these wonderful creatures before us to zoos that don’t care about the chimpanzees but making money out of them. These are the best looked after primates I have seen in Japanese zoos and Tama can set an example by saying no to any transfers of any of there family members to these zoos with appalling living conditions, and high mortality rates.
I have just watched a video on the Great Apes Channel of some chimpanzees in Okinawa and it brought a tear to my eye , two adult males and a a young male one like Ibuki in a very small viewing cage with no stimulation to keep them happy, just screaming children and adults up close and getting them worked up all the time to a point where one adult is banging his head on the floor.
The young chimp is lucky that the Alpha male is soft and gentle with him most of the time and playing and trying to keep each other happy, there doesn’t seem to be any interaction with the females at all and that is not right for social animals like chimpanzees.
If you do here of any possibility that they may transfer any of Tama’s chimps let us all know and we will start online petitions worldwide to the Japanese government to finally step in and do what is right for all of the animals in the care of japans zoos .
