Nice to see Lasker gets his due respect! ❤
Me, too. Really great but not relatively a favorite these days, unfortunately
Absolutely !
An absolutely classic game from Lasker. Very much enjoy your channel & analysis of these classic games highlighting a tactical or strategical maneuver that every good player & chess fan will enjoy & should know. Merry Christmas to you & keep up the good work. Cheers!
Wow! I didn't know Lasker invented that double bishop sacrifice.
There’s a lot you don’t know
@@mcronrn Welcome to the club, Junior!
Good stuff. Thanks for these classical games from the old champions. And 2 days ago was actually Lasker birthday, so good stuff
I love what you said about not seeing the reality on the board. I think this comes from years of hearing "control the center" so you just do that without thinking deeply. Very interesting game!
Indeed, I think it was Lasker himself who famously said that in order to be excellent at chess, you must unlearn basic principles.
Thank you & Happy christmas
Totally agree with you, my friend; we should also look at lop-sided games where one player completely outweighs the opponent.
He was ahead of his time
Thank you ! Enjoyed the lesson.Lasker was a mathematician..He really makes it lók like a math problem!
Good evening: you are a person welcome every time I've got the chance to find the dozens of programs you have released.
Su forma de explicar esas partidas, previamente escogidas y que aciertan a tener la sustancia especial que tanto nos gusta a quienes amamos la belleza intrínseca del Ajedrez.
You are (very) good explaining chess. Thank you, Sir.
Many thanks indeed for your videos, they are very interesting, and remember us, how fantastic were Chess players like Lasker, Capablanca
Alekhine and so on . . .
Video came in time for me today, and earned me a point. Thank you, ChessDawg!
Excellent video and enjoy your style with these game reviews
I like the way you handle your material, sir. Very helpful and entertaining. Keep at it!
V enjoyable. Thank you
Nice game!
When you see both bishops pointed at the king, there's always trouble!
thank you very much
Very Nice Analysis 👌 I really loved it ❤️ Keep it Up Sir 😊
Funny enough I did a double bishop sacrifice in a blitz game today and the guy ended up hanging mate in 3 if I sacked the queen too.
As a L plater, I haven't watched that many chess videos. So I never heard of Lasker and many other great GM of the past and present.
Perhaps a stronger opponent would be better but I definitely learned a lot from this game.
I strongly believe that Fischer would have definitely studied this one multiple times cause Lasker's technique in this one is replicated many rimes by Bobby.
IRONY:
Double Bishop sacrifice inversed via Fischer's Queen sacrifice vs Burns 😂😂😂😂.
Yep Fischer definitely looked/studied this game intensely............
Nice!
Great game and great analysis. Thank you. There is a book by Colin Crouch called How to Defend in Chess, where Crouch goes over a lot of Lasker and Petrosian games, but clearly Lasker knew how to attack as well!
Chess Dawg, do you have a video that thoroughly explains chess terminology? Sometimes I think I'm missing part of what an instructor is saying. Should I just try Wikipedia?
The channel “ChessNetwork” has a really nice series (something like Beginner to Master) that explains a lot of the basics and then moves to more advanced topics. ChessWebsite also has a lot of terminology videos, and both break down the concepts really well. It helped me a lot. 😊
Young Lasker clapped all greatest players of his time
Brutal and beautiful
Hard for exposed king to find shelter.
My 2 games experience, one kings gambit accepted,2nd local tournament when my opponent understood that I want shelter for my king and blocked my kings escape route first.......
Can you make a video on Emory Tate games
Lasker played a brilliant game, but to be fair the level discrepancy is clear. a6? are you kidding me?
a6 looks like a move Levy would blast on guess the elo 🤣🤣
a6 Was slow & clueless to the kingside danger but had a logic as prep for b5 & c4 trapping the WSB.
positional chess was much less developed. Bauer was a master who drew Lasker, Tarrasch, and Alapin previously.
@@EnigmaChess it was a positional error, but most importantly it also were a losing tempo
👍
lasker didnt play quiet chess
His personality spoiled his chess wizardry ...
Many relished his defeat to Capablanca...
Oh cmon you cant just not tell us what the difference between there elo is with an intro like that
Alcohol and English are your weakness.
@@Elo-hv3fw I suspect you're weakness is you're jaw
elo rating didn't exist. Bauer was a chess master, though
