I've been saying: The good, bad and the indifferent, for at least twenty-five years.

**Had no idea, that Ray Bradbury also used that phrase.
Bradbury saved my childhood.
After watching this documentary, I just renewed my library card and rented some audiobooks of his short stories.
The Veldt is good!

@@ManufacturingIntellect You have uploaded numerous Toni Morrison videos. Can you please upload the cspan interview Toni Morrison did on February 4, 2001 for the cspan in depth program
I have his book of short stories. Ray is such a creative storyteller who never fails to disappoint me.
I've learned so much from your channel. Thank you.
Great job man!
Wonderful stuff, thank you so much!
Great writer, his work was so prescient. 'The Illustrated Man' is one of my favourite books. His style and imagery were brilliant.
What a library you've built here on this channel. I'm devastated that I've only just found it! Will you continue to expand it?
On a quick glimpse it looks inspiring - but where are the women?
@@suz3per there's always that comment...
@@suz3per on a quick glimpse I found many videos on women, try glimpsing a little more carefully.
@@suz3per They waiting for you to make a library for them.

I found it quite interesting that he didn't drive...
I met him at a book signing in San Francisco. I mentioned that I didn't know how to drive, either. He was fascinated and told me how, when he was young, automobiles were dangerous and didn't have the safety features they now do. He spoke of classmates who died at an early age in automobile accidents. All these years later, he still missed them. He had me promise to never learn how to drive - and had me shake his hand on it. Then, he signed my books.
That was in 1997 - over two decades ago and yes, I kept that promise. Now, every time I'm asked how a grown man never learned to drive, I have Ray Bradbury to explain way.
This channel is gold. Thank you!
I love his comments on the automobile wrecking our world
It really is. Even though I love cars. Imo it's only a big issue because of our overpopulation problem. More and more people are buying cars left and right, contributing to more pollution in the air and forests or ecosystems destroyed to build more roads and factories.
As more people are being born than die.
Where you at Manufacturing Intellect???
That intro in his speech is epic.
M.I. must be curating something very unique and beautiful. Cant wait for your return.

A story has begun "a story has begun" a story had begun a story has begun a story is beginning a story is ending a story has begun a story has begun
Tell us more about the art at the end of the documentary? I see Picasso, Kandinsky, Chagall, and others. I'm interested in the source of the young woman holding the string of birds. I tried to search for it, but to no avail. You could do a whole introduction to great art through that sequence. Or not.
Saw this in 9th grade. Interesting I now recognize its set to Twilight Zone episode score, "Number 12 looks just like me" as I recall. One thing he said I found interesting, "When we can't change another word, its ready." If I followed that doctrine, I'd NEVER be done. Lol
Got to do it to it! Just never have to say it as a goal to anyone! Wish to hand over all Ive done and be like Im not pursuing any questions so 😅
Don't Think! 4:15
Thank you so much :) Can I please persuade you to upload english subs as well?

The title of this channel, “Manufacturing Intellect” just seems to copy “ Manufacturing Consent” - or rather tries to subvert it. I brought great thinkers to my students for years, but I would never ever claim that intellect should be “manufactured.” Do you great thinkers come off an assembly line, are “manufactured”? Maybe you mean well, but your channel title is irksome. Or not well thought out. And it matters.
You're severely overthinking this, as is the custom of pedagogues. It's simply a pun.
