    Hey man, I've been watching your stuff for about 5 years at this point (crazy how fast it went by). I'm glad to see your channel has grown so much, it deserves it! I really enjoy seeing videos like this as it makes me feel better about my own processes. I am self taught so I always assume there are things that I could be doing better, and sometimes there are... but watching someone that I enjoy learning from doing things very similar to myself is encouraging!

    Wow! Crap I have a lot to learn. You have stated a couple of times edit to the music but this video helped me understand how to and I can hear the impact now. Cutting before the action ends is something I avoided in the past but what you showed and the reason to edit this way now makes sense. I can't wait to see the future video on how you edit music. I saw you used a transition on the music, never thought of that - I will be experimenting with that. Slowing down the video to reduce shake - great tool. The sound effects added so much but didn't hear them until you showed what you had added - amazing impact. Learned more on this video than any other video in a long time. I will haver to watch this video multiple times to insure I capture all the "nuggets".

      Ah awesome to hear how you leant these things from the video. Always seems like that when you see how it works in a practical sense but hard to figure out on your own cos you don't even know what to look for really. That's why I love doing these types of videos. Thank you for the feedback and support!

  • @TheIntuitiveBodyFoodieNetwork

    Okay, first of all - thank you!! I thought it was just me! It takes me FOREVER to find the right sound track!! That said, I've learned something very interesting about how you film in long chunks whereas I prefer to shoot in shorter clips. Upside of how you film - easier to cherry pick the best parts. Upside of how I film - ... - just a second -... - I'm still thinking - ... - I'm not sure there are any lol! I will definitely give this different filming style a chance and will give you some feedback. Thanks Sean! Btw, excellent choreography, cinematography, and editing! You're a natural!

    That was cool. Nice to see some one go through the process. I edit the same way. Awesome.

    Hey Sean, unless you have already done so (I still have many of your videos yet to watch to catch up on), could you please talk more about the computer, monitor, processor, and editing software program you use. I'm hunting to upgrade all of my editing hardware & software and what you use appears to be much more flexible with advanced features than what I'm currently using - seamless compared to what I'm using. Thanks!

    Love the workflow.. good content for sure. Que: Did you shoot all footage at 60 fps? I see you pick and choose slow-mo as you feel it fits in..

    This is super helpful. I'm new to video & editing is where I am really struggling. It gets a little overwhelming. Thanks for this.

    Really helpful video- I like the way you select clips & just move them up to the next video track- I’ve tried pancake editing with 2 timelines but it takes up so much more space & seems messy- your way of doing it is much simpler

    • @seankitching
      @seankitching  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah seems to be the best way for me. Keeping as much timeline space open as projects get more complicated. Glad you found it useful!

    Cool to see your process! Didn't mind the run time at all. It's always interesting for me to see people edit in other programs. I was a little surprised to see that you chose to rework the end handles of a clip rather than "slipping" it at 16:06. Just a small detail. idk if that would even make sense in your program.

    • @seankitching
      @seankitching  Před 3 měsíci

      Good catch. I do like using the slip tool but sometimes when I know where I want the clip to start or the action to be in a certain place its easier for me to just move it around. Maybe I just need more practice with the slip tool though haha

    That was awesome! I look forward to seeing the video on editing audio. Which 2 luts did you use? I bought your lut pack. Also, the opacity on the adjustment layer.

    • @seankitching
      @seankitching  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks for grabbing the LUT pack. Hope you love them! I use the Cine Skin Lut for pretty much all my videos. I don't change the opacity of the adjustment layer I rather turn down the sensitivity in the creative tab where you add the lut. Usually around 30 :)
