- Instead of going over lore or secret walls or farming techniques, I've written down what I believe are the 10 inevitable experiences you will have while playing Dark Souls 3, or any Dark Souls game. A "Ten Commandments" of Dark Souls if you will. Join us this week as I dive into one of my favorite pastime games.

Sorry guys. School sucks, haha. Midterms have kept me busy, but hopefully I can get back to a normal upload schedule next week. Thanks for sticking around!
pffftttt what are you in college..... don't worry man I feel the same way
I found this funny, but the names part of it? Nah, there's absolutely nothing wrong with them.
The Superforge When I heard you ask "I wondered if there were any Dark Souls fans in here" I smiled and imediatly went here to tell you that you have gained yourself a subscriber for life :D
Heres a good law if you fat roll in ds3 your a noob because armor does barely anything past a certain degree, now please edit out all the footage of you fat rolling its painful to watch

A SL999 fully maxed out player is weaker than a SL1 naked unarmed player...
the Truest law of all. The law of Git Gud
Whos guts?
Yes you can, you can item duplicate a soul of Gwyn or any soul item for that matter until you have enough souls to max your character out.
It might take a while but noobs who think level equals how good you are would be the ones to try it.
@Skeleton Masher oh that’s what you meant.
I know, the 999 was meant to be an over exaggeration. I couldn’t remember the exact max level cap.

My experience in dark souls right here.
This couldn’t be more wrong though
Honorable mention: saying the words "I'm so close to killing him!", "I've got this! ", "i can't possibly lose now", "i refuse to die to this thing", or any variation of these phrases WILL result in your death in approximately 4.8 seconds...
Shuuuut. That's the biggest secret of Souls game
At the point you think this, you might as well just stand there and let it kill you.
This was my personal experience with both nameless and midir
Or this boss is easy when they have half of their health left
If i say it i bring a different moveset and dodge skills to the table not to mention the bosses weakness after im done i bow in such an honorable way possible

Law 11. If you are not smart enough to level up immediately, and you have a ton of souls, you will die. Then, the simplest enemies become mini bosses, preventing you from getting all those souls back.
Law 12 . Loosing souls doesnt matter because the skills you get by practice are much more valuable than +5 dmg or +30hp.
A better advice would be level up weapons first, and get a support spell.
If you lose your souls and try to make a mad dash back to retrieve them, you WILL get rekt by something as small as a Hollow you didn't see before.
@@codysykes5568 lmao only if u don't know how to mad dash
you should put on a ring of protection AFTER you die (ring of sacrifice in DS3). so you have infinite tries to get your souls back becouse if you die again, only the ring will break, the souls still remain in place and still can be picked up. in DS2 they cost 3k souls to repair i believe.
that way each death after the first costs as much as the ring, with the first death beeing for free. not sure if you can buy them in DS3 though.
with this technique i didnt lose any souls in the past 300 hours or so in DS2.
@@Wohodix Perhaps, but Dark Souls rust doesn't apply to leveling, be it you or your equipment.
You forgot a law. Gravity is the only god in the game that will kill you every time and you can’t kill it
This should be one of the first, if not the first laws of DS. Gravity wins, everytime lol.
nah u can kill it with a well placed plunging attack
Not true. There are 2 gods in the game: Gravity and Camera.
Half the reason Pontiff Sukkiman is so annoying is how he sweeps away from your field of view so much. There are other examples, but this is just the one I'm feeling the most in my current playthrough.
Not even the hackers can win against gravity
In dark souls 2 I died 80 times only half were due to ganks and bosses and the other half were due to gravity
I noticed you were fatrolling in the dancer fight. 9/10 Dark Souls players do not recommend that.

law 9 bis, when you die with a certain critical amount of souls, suddently, every, SINGLE, mobs on the way back to said souls enter "berserk mode" with improved aggro, and sometimes even new moves or paterns you never seen and will never see again when you inevitably die, leaving your soul counter to zero and the ennemies back to "lamb mode"
Omg so that's true 😂😂😂😂😂
Bruh....story of my life 🙄😂
That's when I hit the power button. RIP
In the Anor Londo (DS1) I always parry those silver knights to death and they cant do shit to me. But ONE time I lost my souls far from the bonfire and wanted to grab them, they killed me. OF COURSE.

Dark souls laughs last is true, even when you beat a boss. My first ever playthrough of the game had me in tears when I beat midir. Not because he took me two days to finally beat, but because I was at a sliver of health and it was as close to beating him as I had ever been. When I killed him, I thought he was winding up some new attack to fuck me over with, not at all realizing it was just him dying.
Fuck. Midir.
"long walks over your corpse and his favorite dish is your stamina bar" best quote ever. 10/10.
Law 9 epitomizes the Old Demon King. You get that guy close to death and he activates the sore loser initiative and self destructs.
SO THAT'S WHAT THAT WAS

"His favorite dish is your stamina bar." Hahaha!!! Bro I lost it!
Law 11 When you roll out of the way and you roll right into a corner wall and get yourself stuck against the corner and the monster/enemy your fighting
then for some reason the enemies attacks seem to get faster and faster and faster, by the time youve blocked like 7 hits you still cant get out of the corner spot cuz the enemies are physical and you cant ghost through them, and then they break your guard and 1 shot kill you, a place where this is especially dangerous is in dafrk souls 1 where you are going below a bridge with a dragon on top guarding the entrance to the bridge and you come to this tiny room to encounter poisonus rats the entrance to it is not so bad... its just that when youre coming the other way there is a ladder to go back down into the tiny dark room, by which time the rats would have placed themselves strategically to get the jump on you every single goddam time, and of course you get trapped again in the corner because the ladder placement wasnt wel lthought out neither was the camera placement in the corner

I agree with the "Everyone will become a Knight" Thing.
I always wanted to create a pure Intelligence or Faith Build because after 140 Hours of playing the same or a similar Build i decided to give those sorcery's and Miracles a Chance.
You can already guess it. I ended up doing a balanced Knight again.
But finally 4 Days ago i made a pure Intelligence Build, Sl 120+ with 80+ Int. Its definitely a new experience and made the Game different for sure.
i actually have to disagree with ít... whatever happens even if i try to go for str... i end up with dmg amplyfier (dark moon buff or whatever) and a parry weapon
to piss of everyone who isnt a mage (fuck those guys)
I always end up going dex and using a bow. It remains the only way I've beaten O&S.
That’s funny... it’s the other way around for me. Every one of my characters eventually becomes a spellcaster at some point
I have many characters and I made them with their purpose in mind. I have a strength build based in using heavy armor, greatshields, and heavy weapons. I have a scythe wielding dex/int build. Then I have a high faith/int build that uses a mix of pyromancy and miracles with the odd spell slipped in from time to time. Never have I just ended up with a knight. Especially when I find them to be boring as shit.
I play a pure archer. I love it.
Pontiac Sunfire is a great name

Unwritten Rule #1: Always trust the npc's. Especially Patches.
Patches saves greirat so I like him
To be honest, most of the places patches pushes you have genuine, valuable treasures/NPCs. If you can survive the encounters it is 100% worth it to trust him.
And don’t tell him you’re a cleric.

Fashion souls is the only souls
I love fashion souls, When you summon or get invaded the clothes tell me just what I'm dealing with, Oh I summoned a dude who has a mismatch of all the Heavy armour, guess he is gonna die soon. Or I summound a dude who is half naked, let's go kill the boss and evey enemy in one run from the first bonfire
DJiMMa half naked? But the pale man invades, he doesn’t get summoned
I seriously hope you're a college professor because that explanation of dark souls was great.

@@elywoen god that is so true
The moment he said the 70% thing about people Leaving i was about to leave lol
Here’s my ten laws
1: the dlc is always the best part of the game
2: there is always at least one stat that shouldn’t be there
3: the ease of which items and souls can be farmed is proportional to the quality of the game
4: because there’s always an ass-load if weapons in these games, finding a specific weapon is almost always tedious
5: you can always make a goofy-looking character in the character creator.
6: high level builds will always incorporate magic in them in some way
7: there’s always at least one area that’s just embarrassing in how badly designed it was
8: snuggly the crow always appears super early in the game
9: there’s always one area people REALLY gravitate to doing pvp in; no other areas are acceptable to do pvp.
10: fashion souls is always the best way to play 😎
Yeah he brought up that knight thing and I was like... "maybe it's because armor is fuckin' sick"
Except shields. Who even uses shields lol
Miranda G I use shields...
*f i l t h y c a s u l s*
dlc 1 was way worse relative to the base game.
kira angle bruh what? Artorias of the abyss was incredible! Some of the best bosses in the series are there
Most important law:
"solo host is a ganker who hasn't summon yet"
DS3 pvp:
-Invaders are more likely to invade worlds with +1 or +2 phantoms.
-Invaders have to compensate and make OP-as-fuck builds to counter a ganksquad
-Hosts just wanting to summon friends and jolly cooperate are constantly invaded by OP builds, ruining a good time
-Solo hosts looking for a fun Dank Souls challenge are starved of the invader threat and miss out on that aspect almost entirely
-Fromsoft: *WORKING AS INTENDED*
P.S. fuck actual ganksquads with a rusty pickax.
Miranda G, preach it sister!
Miranda G for dark souls one at least (remastered) me and my boyfriend are always invaded by op ass Havels, or dark magic fucks, use dark magic okay, but just spam the same fucking spell, I understand why my boyfriend hates the remaster, and I'm starting to aswell

About the same way my experience went.
I never had this level of issues in Dark Souls 3, even though it was the first game of the series I played. But when I flatten and invader with my +10 Zweihander, as in he's on the ground with his face in the dirt from a direct hit, and he only takes 8 damage from it, I'm just like "Okay, fuck that" and ALT-F4 the game. I don't even feel bad about it.
@@BabyKittyUwU well you would have just gave up back in the day. I started with Demon souls soooo yeah let them come at me.

Law 2 is a little different for Dark Souls 1. It's not so much that the path of least resistance is to "become a knight" as it is "The Heater Shield becomes your left arm, permanently."
I know right. Except to heal using talisman. I saw thatshield and knew it was the one. Eat the game 9 times and never ever traded the heater shield.
I beat Dark Souls 5 times with shield only, without rolling even once. I got gud with rolls only in DS3, because shields arent so OP there.
Nah, the only shield for me is the grass crest shield
@@DasHoovie there you go!! There you go!!
Every character becomes a knight is the most relateable shit I've heard in ages.
Bluemilk92 not to me am always a sorcerer and keep with it
It plays like a challenge run. and doesn't work past NG++
In Dark Souls 1
You have 6 true mage armor sets to pick from, 7 if you count Channeler's set. (I don't)
You can bump that up by 4 if you count the *priest* type gear, _not_ cleric armor! Stuff like robes.
You can bump it another 3 if you include the Pyro-type robes. though by this point you're starting to break character
True Mage would stay with dagger class weapons when parry, or a *shortsword* to buff. of course only if necessary, as most enemies should die by spells.
No metal shields, or large shields, the starter works till you get the Crystal Ring Shield.
Stats should be mostly health, int, & attunment. No leveling str, or end, keep dex at a minimum. You could get away with leveling resistances if you were farming hard but I doubt it.
Or a rapier type sword. Because: Red Mage
Bluemilk92 I went from knight to pyromancer in the first on my first playthrough and kept it that way ever since until 3. I'm a dex build in 3 idk it just feels right this time. I usually don't like playing like that I either like magic or giant swords
Bluemilk92 I remember playind ds1 without armor and shield, it was fun.
I think you were the one that actually got me to enjoy Dark Souls. It wasn't until I realized that this game will kick your ass and you just have to adapt to it (and not button mash) PLUS the fact that the game rewards you for exploring that I started to really like it. I stopped trying to prove myself all the time, and just try to learn the game at my pace, and I've been loving it ever since.
"play for 2 hours and something WILL kill you"...*looks at no death/no hit speedrunners* HHMMMMMM

I know this comment is old, but isnt Wolnir the largest boss?
@@punishedwhirligig3353 no lol midir is so much larger than wolnir even yhorm is bigger than wolnir
Midir wasn't that hard. If you fight him as he's supposed to be fought (hit his face, dodge his attacks, and basically always stay in front of him) the fight is pretty average in difficulty and is cinematic as fuck. The only thing hard about it is that his attacks do a lot of damage, so a single fuck up is a lot scarier than usual.
Size doesn't matter? *THRALLS*
I thought I had overcome law 8 in dark souls. It is amazing the eyesight that enemies have to spot you while you are LITERALLY invisible! What is the use of Oolacile's hidden body spell!? Sure, they can hear your footsteps I suppose, and I guess they all have exceedingly great hearing to know exactly where you are just from the sound of your footsteps, but I used the slumbering dragon ring too, so how on earth do they still know I'm there?
They just know at all times where you are.
There is no escape.
Ewan Stewart i can find someone by listening to them. It's actually not that hard. Seeing something invisible is out of my range though
They can smell your fear and pain dark souls 3 loves the smell of a new victim of bullshit
I've got my own law for dark souls: if you can cheese it, cheese it
Ayyy lmao
I literally just now beat Pontiff Sulyvahn first try on my first DS3 playthrough, so it made me chuckle to hear you first say that everyone's experience was different then that you had a real hard time with him lol
Played through every ds blind as deprived. Deprived is the only true class
I did the exact same thing lol. Also yes it is ;)
But the classes don't matter. Everyone can use everything.
Jiggie Bleu Still you got low soul level and and shitty gear. ( Except the almighty club)
Deprived is not a class.
It´s the state of mind casuls start with when beginning their adventure.
Well, besides Force (and all variations of it) andLightning Spear, clerics kinda suck in general.
Pyromancers and mages got more variety n the things they do.
I just started watching your shit and I binged you last night actually. I knew nothing about the upload schedule or anything but now im glad to be along for the ride. Keep doing your thing man!

0/10 did not praise the sun.
Nicholas Fecteau I know it's 4 months old but I love it.
Step one for beating pontiff: Be parry King.
Step 2: if not party King, use crossbow instead of shield.
Step 3 if you can't be bothered to do 1 or 2: Nuke the fucker.
Seriously, his second phase is a cakewalk if you can burst down the phantom while it spawns.
Great Chaos Fireball (or whatever it's called in 3, because they changed the name from 1). Nuff said
Step 1: back up enough to trigger jump attack.
Step 2: Stab him while he takes a 5 min breather.
Step 3: Repeat.
Thank you for the great footage
Liked cause it was funny, but I kinda disagree with like half of these
#5
Yeah well you can't, they are truly accurate
LMAO I love how you transitioned from bosses being subjective to hating pontiff. because yeah I beat him in 20 seconds and felt cheated. good video
Pontiff is easy for me too. My brothers absolutely hate him and wish he doesn't exist in the game. Meanwhile Snat Slug (aka Aldrich) is a boss which I fear having to fight ever again. It took me 56 damn tries for this unfair piece of shit! They always say don't blame the game, but almost everything about this boss is so erratic and glitchy! By the time I've beaten the bitch I was already dead inside.
I beat him in 20 seconds too. Right after I died to him so many times I memorized his whole moveset.
Yeah Pontiff is a joke if you're just a little good at parrying. Even without parrying his clone move takes a second to pop up, so you can just whale on him. Although I did get my ass kicked by Dragonslayer Armour, so I probably have no room to talk.
For me Pontiff also felt like a pushover so I was pretty surprised when I heard others having lot's of trouble with him. But I have enough trouble with other bosses, Abyss Watchers and Sister Frieda took me really a lot of tries.
However it is kinda funny that he hates Pontiff so much for attacking till he has no stamina left to counter while the video shows a character with a really tiny stamina bar. I guess there you have the reason it felt so easy for me and so difficult for him. Stamina is about the first thing I try to get to its (soft)cap in every Souls Game.
He wasn't difficult by any means. Just sooo fucking tedious and annoying lol
The "Oh shit button" is a really good name for that.
Second time I watched this video, equally funny.. I by default know these unspoken laws, but something about listening to someone else talk about the exact same experiences I had that makes it so good lol.. thnx for this, and yes, Dark Souls fan here.. pls more Dark Souls content, you have my sub!
Not the video I expected or hoped for but it sure was a welcomed one. This was very amusing and I just have to agree with those secret laws.
I took down sulyvahn on my first try solo, but I got royally fisted by the crystal saige
... I rolled a sorcerer when I was at crystal sage and ended up with the dark hand at pontiff so... Same ;_;
Lol I'm the exact opposite
I think Pontiff just intimidates me and makes me go into a defensive state, whereas I wasn't at all intimidated by Sage, I got really aggressive right away and just kept chasing him/her down and mauling him/her.
Obviously I have no idea if Crystal Sage is male or female, I assumed female but I see people here saying male.
The sage I find easy too because I go ham.
Pontiff, I admit I’ve always had the NPC summons around who distract him.
I always dreaded Ocellote, and Dancer. Ocellote and his back stepping, charging, random tail wacking. It’s fighting a baby dragon throwing a temper tantrum lol.
This video seems a bit whiny. But perhaps I've become one of those "git gud" guys in my head without noticing.
Literally just did this because the thought of it was funny lol.
Farron keep super easy, but blighttown..... lol
It's satire.
The Superforge I feel that. I enjoyed the vid and I'm a souls veteran lol
Farron keep is nothing compare to archdragon peak . That place is laggy and that long neck creature with giant chain axe and ofcourse the fucking summoner . But its a good place to farm souls .

Great commentary my dude!
If you enjoy DS3 to some extent i would highly recommend checking out Dark Souls Remastered when it's released.
I can asure you that you'll find new appreciation for the franchise after you beat it at least once.
the_edgy _carrot although its good that hes played three as it will prepare him for absolute bumfuckery, especially from that metal pig and O&S.
kill me going back I find ds1 is easier than ds3 by a large amount
o&s was shockingly easy for what it was hyped up to be and if you dare parry you win the game. Sure artrious and that DLC dragon are super tough but nothing compared to midir and snow bitch
It's so hard to play DS1 after 3 and Bloodborne. Everything feels so slow and clunky.
Dark souls... Lost alot of hair cause of that rape fest... When the remaster comes out guess I'll lose the rest
Sir Phil ds3 is better though, and the remaster is a lazy cashgrab. Dont support bad businesses
I actually beat pontiff on my first try, without looking up a guide or anything.. so I suppose rule 5 doesn't apply to me.
I did, however, forget to progress through Anri's questline, therefore dark souls DID have the last laugh...

Insane video! thanks for this!
Great video. Pontiac sunfire had me dying.
I once got so lost I skipped a boss. Not as good as it sounds
"Dark Souls laughs last"
True.
The game crashed once when I was kicking it's ass.
After a restart, all my skills were gone. I always died for stupid reasons. How? Like... I lost my momentum or something. Of course some of the enemies do the old "I survive with a tiny HP just so I can hit you back and you have to heal" trick, despite I killed most of them with like three hits.
"Size does not matter"
True. But speed does. Every difficult enemy in this game is fast and agressive. I died more to one of those Sulyvahn's Beast or those Outrider Knights than any of the bosses. (except Pontiff and Nameless King) Even dogs and rats gave me more trouble with their stunlocking. (rip poise)
"Dark Souls is always relative"
Fuck the Crystal Sage. It was the hardest early game boss for me.
Csúb - Az Űrmedve I always used to have to summon help to kill the crystal sage, then I started killing one or two copies then using the environment the block the rest of the spells and just spammed
The only law i follow is that “all dog enemies suck”. Like seriously in Dark Souls and Bloodbourne i have the most trouble with them than any other enemy. I can never dodge their attacks
Cannibal Raptor ik two ways to trivalise them, use a shield which I don't really do or buy the flame surge pyromancie
I had a acharacter in ds2 about 802 hours on him and some others what happened the game deleted everything ty game
These moterfucking outrider knights I tell you
"You either die a mage, or live long enough to see yourself become a knight"
I completed game as mage. Gotta say though, it was bitch against Wolnir and Greatwood due to those being heavily physical focused. Also, bad against Crystal Sage and Aldrich due to mage vs mage. Other then that, I'd say pretty good for noobs.
How have I not found your sarcastic humor sooner. Definitely subbed after watching. Dope content bruh
"Pontiac sunfire" that made me laugh
The pontiff thing can be removed on the fact you didn't level endurance past 10 or whatever you had it at is just WAY to low
MP5SD eh, depends on the playstyle. Rolling takes almost no stamina anyway, i find END to be a waste of points. But i make pvp builds so it depends on what one's going for.
Hey, you’re that guy. Don’t be that guy.
@@AverageJ03Gaming I'm not going to say you need allot over managing it. Though depends on how you play and build. That said, it looked short from a DS1 perspective and the bars in 3 are looooooooooooooooong.
AverageJ03Gaming lol stamina a waste of points... look at his fking health pool thats a fking waste...but well shouldnt expect anything with 99% casuals commenting here :D
samuel Jakob the jokes on you, dark souls is not competitive.
Min max bait and defense play punish builds don’t make you special.
Winning in pvp with said build makes you even more forgettable.
But whatever, rock your Avaleyn and circle sprint queued run attacks for the ultimate meta experience and call everyone a scrub CZcams.
I love u for ending the vid on a 11:11, u just earned urself a new sub
You forgot to mention how people put messages for illusory walls everywhere.
"Giant rats of unusual size? I don't believe in such things." *6:07** happens*
StormHowl_ *”rodents of unusual size? I don’t believe they exist.”

**Law 3 - Everyone gets lost**
Nahh... it's more like Dark Souls 1 & 2 let's be honest DS3 is honestly a bit too straightforward in the world design. Your #3 applies way more to DS 1& 2
im lost in 3 halep
@@ollie7070 walk forward. You're welcome
True that. Souls 1 is confusing as hell compared to 3. 3 is a cake walk.
PentTheSage ikr. I’m pretty sure the guy who made the video never played the original 2 (never watched any of his vids) and complains about a game he can hardly understand the mechanics of, even though they are so simple and straightforward like the rest of the game I didn’t even have to search up help once.
I can agree with that.
This is still pure gold
The best Ds3 review ever
I think my favorite thing is that you were talking about bosses being easy to some and hard to others. Then you pull up Sullivan for the next one witch I beat 2nd try on my first play through
Talks about how bosses can become harder and easier depending on your build
The next thing on the list is a boss that is easily parried and if you dodge you should have no stamina problems at all (just put that shield away, its protecting nothing but your virginity)
misleading title, I thought you were going to explain some unusual invisible statistics. nice video, just bad title
I keep finding my self coming back to this video
Haha this video literally speeks the truth and your personality had me laughing through out the whole thing. Keep doing what you're doing man!
Wait, you missed the block physics being completely arbitrary. I've had more than once in DS where I get hit off the edge because an attack decides to knock me back off a cliff through my block, despite the fact that I blocked just as heavy swings without moving an inch.
Oh, and spears being a bad idea against small targets, as apparently aiming down is something your character forgot how to do, leaving him poking the air just above the enemy while it gnaws your kneecaps until you die. Or is that only a DS 1 thing?
Your videos are great!
Pontiac sunfire , you got a sub hahaha , great video !
Congrats on 100k! 69th rule, everyone who complains about dark souls or is slightly worse than you is a filthy casual that needs to get good, and everyone even remotely better than you is a no-life elitist maniac.
Meaning there are no no-life elitists, only filthy casuls that need to get on my level xD
Don't forget the Hackers, man
Fuck the Hackers xD
fish butt, Preach It!!
damn straight
damn straight
Law 2 is not true :D i started with a thief and stuck with it
AcolyteArathok Agreed, Law 2 is false. Sorceror here and still going strong... what even is armor?
Perhaps the Superforge is a casul? :P :D
Plays melee build. Specs with low Endurance and a shield. Relies too much on Shield Block for Pontiff. Wonders why stamina runs out so quick.
Yup, I can believe it :p
it's a metaphor or some shit, just like the saying you either die a hero or live to become the villain, and many have survived and never become a villain or die not a hero
Thats exactly what I was thinking!
Yo, just subscribed, love ya bro
Wow this was so good I'ma subscribe to your channel.
Done over ten play throughs I still get lost in that damn swamp
I found the hardest boss in ds3 (including dlcs) for me was Aldrich and if we're going off of how many deaths I've had, Iudex Gundyr with over 30 deaths to him. (ds3 was my first souls game and I knew absolutely nothing about anything)
I beat him without taking any damage
Hardest one in DS3 for me was actually Soul of Cinder for nostalgia reasons. Going off on death count, Friede with well over 100 deaths. Still doesn't even hold the torch to my first time trying to beat Ludwig in Bloodborne though, that was a long and very painful night that clocked in 274 deaths.Played the games since Demon's Souls btw, can't you see all the experience and how much it helped me Kappa
@@Krosis957 Yeah, i started with ds3 about 4 months ago and now I'm on ng+2 while I can now beat aldrich with not too much effort he still pisses me off lol.
My hardest boss was the most "popular" choice - Midir. I didnt know about weak spot on his head, and kept going for his chest and legs. Died 30+ times to him, and that was the most amount of deaths I ever had on any DS boss.
@@user-or8ql3fe5v I died to pontiff over a 100 times. It was a nightmare.
This was REALLY well writen, instasub
So many laughs, thanks Rusty!
law 1: well, that's just how gaming works, failure is inevitable, and the better you get at it, the less you fail, but you WILL fail every once in a while, we're humans after all.
law 2: it's not that everyone becomes a knight, it's just that pure spell-casting is frowned upon in souls games, it's just not how miyazaki conceptualized mages(see grimhield, daughter of the cristal sage, even SHE HAS A RAPIER!(as well as the crystal sages too)
law 3: ...kinda.
i admit i got lost in farron keep(who doesn't?) and almost got lost in both cathedral of the deep and the catacombs... but other than that, at least in ds3, i never got lost. note: i have a pretty poor sense of direction, not terrible, but definitely sub-par.
law 4: yes.
law 5: salty much? this contradicts point 4, unless you consider yourself a law.
law 6: isn't that the same for almost any game in existence though?
law 7: funny example considering miyazaki loves lovecraft.
but that's it.
gaelic names mixed with alvish, latin, lovecraftian references and so on... pronunciation will inevitably get complex.
yet iudex gundyr it's easy to spell come on!
law 8: see law 1(yes, rng is something you should take in consideration too)
law 9: it's from japan, what did you expect?
law 10: gotta love fromsoftware's game engines.
And as per usual someone else inevitably misses the entire point of the video simply spewing the same " Stop being so whiny, these aren't laws, your just a causal and of course the ever stupid git gud casual. " and of course the fact the video is mostly comedic in nature as well the fact that he outright said that this was his opinion. And SuperForge literally comments on the second post under yours that he made the video just because he thought it would be funny.
Learn to understand sarcasm if you can't then these videos aren't for you.
Some of these are not correct. But mainly, why does the greatwood suck? He has good lore, his design and location makes sense, good music, appropriate difficulty and mostly fair attacks
Ronan Van Kessel agreed!
Agreed
his acid pool fruit fall attack just eats time and his gimmick of attacking the nodes, some of which are obviously visible but not attackable till a Que happens, and he moves with far too much mobility for a boss that cant actually stand. such mobility should be saved for mimics, not trees.
kira angle yes, I said mostly fair attacks, because his acid pool and fruit fall are bad. But your second point is EXACTLY what I mean. Everybody automatically thinks this is bad because its different, while there is NOTHING wrong with it. It makes it so the developers can prevent you from abusing his abilities and for example just hit him from behind where he cant attack you. Good design, wouldnt you say? Some are not attackable because they are out of reach. Also, your opinion on his speed is subjective. I find his speed perfect. Yes he cant stand (technically he can, but he falls down instantly) but that doesnt mean he cant move. The only nonsense move Id say is when he does the spin, but other than that the movement is perfectly reasonable imo
Ronan Van Kessel he isnt different. He is a plagiarized remake of bed of chaos with the mobility of a mimic. Remove your rosey lenses and maybe youd be worth discussing this with.
I watched this video and I thought WOW THAT WAS SO GOOD and i subscribed. 11/10 I lost it at law 5
Awesome video, pontiff never gave me much trouble, but the twin prince teleporting fucker, and the dancer had me raging many times
I feel like I freakin suck at this game after getting smashed in pvp today. But I never really got into pvp before now.
But I one shotted pontiff jeje
Most important law: You research
I remember watching this video before I bought the game, I just beat Pontiff Sulyvahn for the first time and came back because I love the way you describe him lol
6:57 the barrage of roasts after are just.. 👌 beautiful
