The Last of Us: Episode 5 - ‘Bloaters’ TEASER TRAILER (4K)

- Things aren't getting any easier for Joel and Ellie. A new teaser for The Last of Us highlights that the pair have found themselves in a messy situation in Kansas City that they wanted no part of to begin with. Warning: Spoilers ahead.
HBO has released The Last of Us Episode 5 preview on CZcams, which showcases that Kansas City isn't in the best shape. In fact, Kathleen (portrayed by Yellowjackets star Melanie Lynsky) sarcastically tells a group of what seems to be prisoners: "Haven't you heard? Kansas City is free." This is interspersed with footage of chaos in the metro area.
The Last of Us introduced a new apparent villain in episode 4 in the form of Kathleen (Melanie Lynskey), a revolutionary leader based in Missouri's Kansas City (i.e. the place where Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) are currently trapped).
Kathleen will return in episode 5, and according to the teaser above, it looks like the stakes are quickly ramping up, with the very real human threat only being added to by the lurching presence of what appears to be a new type of Infected.
The good news? Episode 5 is streaming early, so we won't have to wait too long.
The Last of Us episode 5 premieres Friday at 9 p.m. on HBO Max(opens in a new tab).
Kathleen is determined to get her revenge on Henry, who she believes played a part in her brother's murder. Henry is seen at the end of the fourth episode of The Last of Us holding Joel and Ellie at gunpoint. But by the looks of this trailer, they will soon be working together.
But Kathleen isn't the only adversary Joel and Ellie need to be wary of in the upcoming episode. The preview also showcases their first encounter with an infected called a Bloater in the video game franchise. This enemy is even more dangerous than the Clickers, and it was foreshadowed when Kathleen and her right-hand man stumble upon an impending crater in an abandoned building.

@ainz Stainton It’s basically just a stronger clicker version they’re usually infected for more than 10 or so years and they have thick fungi armor around them making them extremely difficult to kill

The hospital basement is one of my favourite parts of the second game, the tension is done so well. I can’t wait to see how they pull it off! I really hope they mostly do practical effects. Animatronics maybe?

You mean how Henry and Sam die? I don't think they'll do that this time. They've made Sam deaf for some reason, changed Bills story for more emotional impact, and Neil is full on sniffing his own farts like they're flowers, so I think he won't kill black folks, he'll make em heroes this time.
@@ursorightmate6250 Henry and Sam have to die for the story to work. So far they've changed nothing that doesn't make the story work better (or better in TV format anyway), but if Henry and Sam don't die then the story will be worse. That won't happen.

@@UdyKumra the fact that they’ve made him deaf kind of kills it for me. Sam and Ellie have that really deep and emotional conversation after Sam gets bit and now that he’s deaf, how can they. The emotional impact won’t hit the same when their death scene happens.

This has to be next couple of episodes. Kids drawings looks like they are touching on the story Ish along with Henry and Sam. The mall could be the Left Behind DLC. And Tommy? That's got to be a couple of episodes at least.
Ep 7 is called left behind, mostly will feature the mall flashback
