- Review & DEMO on the ORIGINAL Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet in the Monogram Canvas. In the end I'll also compare it to my Micheal Kors Wallet, which made me want to buy the Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet. I'll also share how to wear and carry the wallet around.
The most versatile of wallets, the Zippy is a very practical choice. With plenty of room for money, cards and coins and a handy all-round zip, it looks doubly tempting in Monogram canvas.

Great review, but I wanted to add that I have had this wallet for two years and LOVE it. I see what you are saying about the credit cards but it doesn't really bother me. The zippers are fabulous--there is nothing more luxurious than a LV zipper every day. And there is no comparison between the MK wallet and your LV zippy. The LV ZIPPY is GORGEOUS, sleek and classy. OMG..this has got to be THE BEST Zippy Wallet review! I love how you took your time to explain the pros and cons of this wallet. The cons you stated are the reason I went with the French Purse Wallet, and I find that only one of my CC slots has widened(yup, my most used card..debit card). Great review!! I thought I was the only one that noticed this issue with the cards getting caught in the corner!! I also said to my husband that I wished the wallet was more soft like my MK wallet, this one is so hard! Didn't stopped me from buying it!! Thanks for viewing my video. I'm glad you enjoyed my review. I honestly think the Michael Kors wallet was inspired by the Louis Vuitton Zippy. I think I love my Louis Vuitton more because of the craftsmanship, but if I didn't have any issues with it I would love it even more. I love the Micheal kors wallet too, but it hasn't lasted through time and its falling apart now... As far as price goes, it's about how much you are willing to invest.

ana ezernack no it's still a great purchase, the things she pointed out really are not a big deal and its all in the user of the wallet. I ave this wallet and I don't experience any of what she mentioned.
Love the review. I know what you mean about the credit card slots, both difficulty getting but also getting out and catching the zip. I have had the same issue with a Mulberry zipped wallet of similar size so when I bought my LV I went for the zippy organiser. This means that the card slots on one part don't get pulled against the zip so you can put your most used ones there and other in the more difficult area. I do love the organiser maybe it would be an option for you in the future.

The zipper edges get much smoother after a week or so. All of my LV’s do this at first but become like butter shortly after using .

Very interesting about the cards hitting the zipper - no one ever mentions that. I hv the Sarah, but really debated about getn the zippy. I do hv a zippy coin wallet & love that thou - not noticed the cards hitting anything. But, ... I would def think a lot harder about going 4 a zippy in the future... thnx!
Thanks, I think if I purchase another one in the future it probably would be the Insolite wallet. I like the snap closures, credit card pockets, and the coin compartment. Plus this wallet seem like it would be soft.
Hi, you mentioned how the zipper drags at the corners of the wallet. You can use a little bit of wax paper around the areas that you feel need it, this will help the zipper close along the opening quite well. Also, you can take the wax paper and rub it along your closet rods so that moving hangers back n forth will glide with much more ease.

Thank you for your honest opinion on my opinion of the zippy wallet. FYI I paid over $750 for this wallet..not $300. I also own many LV handbags and accessories so I'm quite aware of the quality of this brand. My issues with this wallet are 'mine' and it's okay if you don't share the same view. I still stand by my review and think there are others who benefit knowing what I didn't know. I look forward to seeing your video review someday.

My thoughts about this wallet have not changed. I love the style of the wallet and how everything in it has a function. The craftsmanship is really beautiful but I still stand by all my cons. If I had to choose btwn my Zippy Michael Kors and Zippy LV, I'd say hands down the Michael Kors. If I had to choose any wallet beside the zippy, I'd say get the sarah or insolite. I hope this helps. Oh wow, lol. I actually bought the emilie then I exchanged to sarah bec it seems too flimsy. Bec of CZcams comments about the glaze tearing I exchanged again to zippy. But I recently exchanged it to a bag.

I wanted everything to match, so I just got the Monogram. I think this print is also timeless, recognizable, and I love the brown colors, so I just went with what I knew I would always love. I have no regrets and I'm glad with my decision. I hope this answers your question.
Just wondering about your thoughts regarding the zippy organizer. I am planning to purchase the Trevi pm purse from Louis Vuitton. I am trying to decide one the zippy wallet or the zippy organizer. I heard the opening of the Trevi pm purse is small and it may be difficult to get the zippy organizer in an out because it is a bigger wallet than the zippy wallet. Any advice?

They have straps for key chains but not one identical to the one in my demonstration. I got mine a long time ago from Dooney and Bourke.

I don't own a zippy organizer or the Trevi PM so I couldn't tell you what I think about them. If the wallet is too wide, try putting the smallest width in first and then slide the wide part in. This may be an inconvenience, so all it depends on what your willing to put up with. Good luck.

Update--- I just realized the rubbing is not caused from credit cards but from the bottom of coin pouch on inside. My wallet is made in Spain. Are you having a similar issue with wearing on outside canvas due to bottom of coin pouch on inside. Very tight so causing rubbing it looks like. Thanks
