I enjoyed this series, but the 3some was to much for me
I work at and engineering firm that does Mechanical, Electrical and plumbing systems. Mostly for schools and hospitals, but I've done secure facilities at past jobs. Any life safety equipment has at least one redundancy. You can't go dark.
Like can an operating room in a hospital lose lights? No. No power from the grid, AND the generator shut down? There are battery powered lights in critical areas throughout a hospital. It won't be bright (ICU and operating rooms will have 60 minutes of decent light, though).
Yet somehow, a top secret MILITARY facility doesn't have ANY backup? Get one piece of equipment wet with sea water, and ALL power is gone? No.
Each critical component has its own circuit and is protected from electrical faults. So more than one circuit going out is not easy.
It would have to be done at the panel.
