I have a Jazzy Select Elite as my indoor chair...Bought it off Ebay years ago so I can't get it fixed through insurance like my Quantum 4Front outdoor chair...The Jazzy moves on its own when I let go of the joystick...I'm hoping it is just a microswitch like in your video here...

On a Jazzy Select motor unit, the brake assembly can be purchased as a unit, which includes the small black microswitch. Is there a part/model number (and supplier), if someone just wants to replace the small black Switch ?

I use a WHILL ci powerchair and it makes loud clicking whenever the controls are moved. In a quiet environment ie patients sleeping it gets bothersome. Can I remove the plate to eliminate the clicking or is there a safer way. Since it is only the parking brake i should be safe as most of what I travel on is level ground

Hi mike, I too like the zip-tie trick thanks for that. My question is, I bought a wheelchair drive motor from eBay I think & I plan on using it for a power lift on my saw mill I have a regular 12volt motor on it now but when I run the blade deck down and kill the power to the motor it still travels down about an inch so I thought about using a wheelchair drive motor now will the brakes apply as soon as I release the power to the motor? Are they somehow wired together? What I mean is when the wheelchair is on dose the brakes have power then when you power to go forward or reverse dose it override the power to the brakes and turn it off? I have a pihsiang motors. Thanks for any help you can give me. G

Gerry, In the motor plug there are 4 wires. The two large ones are the motor and the two small are the brake. For your application, you can include the brake wires in with the 24v motor wires one with red one with the black. When powered on the brake will release, and when powered off the brake is on, on is the default of the brake. The brake does not have polarity.

There are 2 kinds, depending on what you currently have. Black or Gray. Black are molded on 1 unit (piece), the gray are on split rims. Thanks,
