- The Dragons are stunned by the level of business nous from these two security guards. Peter Harrison and Wesley Downham of FGH Security are in the Den looking for £70,000 in return for a 10% equity stake, but which Dragon or Dragons will walk away with the deal?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

James Kahn missed out and yet was still the first one to get up and go to shake their hands. What a gent!
The most underrated Dragon. Would love to see this whole lineup return
This was the best line up of dragons
Actually peter was the first out, then theo then james… you must have got it mixed up pal
@@lewispiritual. they agreed the deal. I meant as in the first to get up out of the dragons who didn’t invest 👍🏻
I loved that.

"we believe our unique selling point is that we are unique" well done 😂
Writing an essay and trying to reach the word limit like...
A very professional pitch
Im so glad someone else noticed. I thought I was just too stoned
I think some video editing to blame there, probably next sentence cut. Also Deborah did say it wasn't a perfect pitch. But I think they meant unique as in they offer both manpower and related tech supply/services. Plus they are established for years with substantial turnover and growing with bigger orders.
'We're a breathe of fresh air...'
Why? lol.
“Peter Jones has been unusually quiet”..... seems quite usual
True. He usually Is the last to offer and usually with the lesser favourable terms.
I love the narrator; you don't need to think when watching these clips, he covers everything: "The dragons are all seated, each with a glass of water, a notebook and a pen as they await a nervous entrepreneur to pitch an idea for a business."
If someday you're inconveniently impaired visually, fear not. Dragon's Den gochu fam.
He’s well connected to the Tory ministers. “Unbiased”

Jenny’s a big fan of bouncers. They always keep her out.
Haha yeah when she's had a few she needs someone to keep an eye on her and stop her trying to go in, because God we all know when she wakes up in the morning she'll have big regrets.
Jenny is not even in this video. You watch this video and your immediate reaction is to fish for likes and attention by posting Jenny spam?
How utterly sad and tragic. I am sure others like yourself who still think and talk like they are 12 will enjoy your effort at comedy, as it appeals to juvenile humor. Unable to provide any meaningful and intelligent commentary you resort to the only thing you know: fishing for likes and attention by spamming with an idiotic, repetitive, tired old meme.
@@Mogamishu they were having a joke 😂 you clearly aren’t fun at party’s
@@Mogamishu I found it funny, it was cleverly written and a sophisticated play on words. Nothing juvenile about it.
Hahahahaha
One major difference between dragons and sharks is the willingness of the dragons to give time for the entrepreneurs to think and discuss before making a decision. I like that.
The Sharks are disgusting.
America in general, is disgusting when it comes to business.
I remember this episode of Shark Tank, there was a successful manufacturing of something you put on a truck bed, here in America and the owner wanted to keep the metal manufacturing in America to give Americans jobs. Mind you, this was already a profitable and successful company, they just wanted to expand. And the Sharks went on and on about how important it was and how good it was that this guy was giving Americans jobs..... but none of them invested for the single reason that they refused to ship manufacturing to China.
America has a big problem and its called unchecked capitalism. This idea that an investor or owner needs to suck every penny out of the room or its not worth it. Its destroyed the once largest and once strongest middle class the world's ever seen.
Shark Tank just likes to crank up drama to 11. It's all flashy, loud, emotional - even when it doesn't need to be. Which is basically ever at all, considering this is an investment show.
Quite a few people have been bitten by the Sharks been screwed over on their deals (like Bubba's Boneless Spare Ribs).
James made it so hard for the other dragons. They’re having to convince them they’re worth it lol
You know you've struck gold when the dragons start pitching themselves to you
James did them a massive. Looks like they owe him.
Deborah: What are you doing here? What are you looking for? Why are you here?
Wesley: We managed to get past security.
I'm a locksmith and I'm a locksmith.
I read that in Deborah's voice lol
PERFECT TIMING WELLDONE
I never saw James taking advantage of any entrepreneur ever.
A true gentleman.
Maybe you should Google him because apparently he does
@@lowbirds90 I read that too. It really disappointed me as James always seemed like a true gentleman. Then again, there's always 2 sides to a story..
@@pimpozza yes me too

"My name's Peter."
Peter: "I'm in. I love your connections."

Probably the most solid pitch I've seen for the least gimmicky business in alll of Dragon's Den.
Nah mate, Car Doctor's pitch was the best
Polite prepared professional
James Kahn up to shake hands even though he didnt get a deal, what a gent he is
Peter's speeches are so inspiring they would get me of my couch and conquer a country or something, or at least make me do the dishes
I'm surprised that they didn't ask them what makes them different from other security companies.
They didn't have to, their business model and contracts were so attractive it didn't really matter, their market success spoke for them.
What we get to see is a short summary of the conversation that happened between pitchers and dragons. The full conversation is actually much longer.
James Caan jumping up at the end joining in the celebrations like John Terry
James is an absolute gentleman.
Google what happened between him and Sharon Wright of Talpa Products
Peter spent a lot of time hyping up his company and how valuable it made him to them. He sold it a few months later
The look on Deborah’s face at 10:50, ‘it’s great this being rich isn’t it’ 😊
The deal didn't go through after the show.
Wesley resigned, Harrison is still there, company made 19 M turnover last year.
where did you get the 19m from its not even 10% of that
From Google, there is site that mention 19 M but it doesn't tell the year, but there is another that mentions 2 M on 2019, so I think you are right.

Pizza Jones strikes again with Theo the foetus
Three months after exiting the Den, the security bosses came to a ‘mutual decision’ with the Dragons not to proceed with the deal.
Wesley Downham resigned as a Director in November 2017 and although an Operations Director has recently been appointed, Peter Harrison is listed as the sole person with significant control.
Although the company has not generated the revenue forecasted on the show, it's still doing pretty well and their last published accounts are very professionally presented.
Really? What a pair of time wasters
@@oliprj8676 A lot come on for advertising
On the US version less than half of the deals make it past the due diligence with Cuban's being the worst at less than 30% panning out.
@@oliprj8676 The company had a turnover of £14 million in 2021 and made a profit of £500k.
"I'm Barry Haig the inventor who invented this." The man pulls away a black cloth and shows the Dragons his invention. "The flow-shuc-signal. It runs on seaweed." says Barry.
"Hi I'm Rory I have the best job in the world. I comb the beaches of Scotland looking for seaweed for the flow-shuc-signal." Says Barry's sidekick.
"I'm not impressed with your net profit" says Pizza Jones. "Well that's not taking into account Brian's figures'' says Barry.
"What makes you think I'm going to give up my child's inheritance?" Says Theo The Fetus.
"Well it's a good idea" says Barry.
"Actually can I just see your copyright?" insists Deborah Meaden.
"A flow-shuc-signal signal? I think it's roobish. I'm ooot." explains Duncan Bannatyne.
"I have two strapping lads at home who would love this product so I'm going to make you an offer." says Jenny Campbell.
The Dragons lose their minds in disbelief. Somewhere in an office space in London, Touker Suleyman has a sudden urge to jump out the window. Evan Davis's head explodes on the spot in a cross-eyed panic. The world descends into a chaotic shock. Earth flies directly into the sun. Jenny Campbell, takes a sip of her water. She immediately transforms into an evolved Dragon and says to the rest of the universe, "I won't be investing in you and for that reason I'm out."

I’d say this is the go-to pitch that anyone thinking of going on the show should watch. Confident, know their business, know their industry, know their numbers.
Very level headed pair of fellas, brilliant.
This is one of the best episodes I have watched 🖒
I super respect these security guys! They got it out the mud!
Just to mix things up, this would have been the perfect situation to counter Peter's offer, and say that we will give you the 15% in our company but we would like a 2% stake in your wireless logistics company in return.
The deal never happened, yet fgh is still a successful business
I was waiting for someone to mention his children's inheritance.
That was a fantastic pitch, I’ll give them that!
The best one I've seen. Well done lads 👍

My respect for James Khan just sky rocketed! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
He’s always been classy on the show, doesn’t jump on the bandwagon even when all the other dragons are insulting contestants.

Would have been nice to see Touker Sulaimon on this episode offering some office space 🤣

One the the best pitches.
Great episode
I have a huge dilemma, I’ve been watching the dragons end for a month and it feels like it’s the only thing I’ve done. Now the old videos are coming back and I can’t stop watching.. WHY CANT I STOP WATCHING!!! 😳😂
"One of the best pitches" - no it wasn't. It was mediocre af. They were just in profit and asked for a reasonable sum with reasonable equity. Some of their responses were painful. USP: "we're different than everyone else innit" (says everyone ever) and basically "we make dumb risky decisions and need help".
Yeah I agree. The charisma of a lump of wood. The sales skills of a potato. And the dialect of a simpleton. And as you said their responses were terrible!
There was something weird there. Theo offered £75K for 10% but then made a face when countered with £37.5K for 7.5% in a joint deal with Peter which would actually give him relatively more equity for less money!
I think it was because he had concerns about staying interested with such a low percentage, so dropping further would be challenging.
No one said rich people had to be smart...😉
@@Until_It_Is_Done Good point.
@@adamhawkins5697 same guy who said "Is that enough to keep me interested" seconds after telling them the 10% was fair
One of the best pitches I’ve ever seen - quality job. In other news.. ol faithful tuna sweet corn pasta for lunch! What’s everyone else having?
I'm having burger and chips for tea
Jenny says she’s out.
The bouncers say they were never going to let her in!
good stuff well played both sides,,
2010 Peter appeared on Dragon's Den to secure a loan to grow FGH. He received offers from all 5 dragons, but after reviewing the paperwork decided not to pursue the deal
You get more stacking shelves nowadays than security work! Needs to be looked at given you're now expected to undergo additional training like ACT and First Aid
entrepreneurs: So once you get your 100k back, the equity comes down to 15%
Theo: Yep
*Peter stares blankly*
The description is wrong. They came in looking for £75k, not £70k.
tbh, the fact that they was there basically saying we bit off too much and need help so we dont fail is nice
Did he say his partner was called "Where's the Donut" hah
Jenny Campbell would've been like "this is a perfect investment, and for that reason I'm out"
Still going. I haven't worked with them but I did my SIA top up and first aid with them.
Love to see some more where are they now!
Apparently made 500k last year
Now they are quite large, doing well.
I hate the “is that gonna be enough for me to be interested” after he just said the percentage was fair
They are always saying people overvalue their business and ask.
A pair coke in with a very fair valuation and they try and bend them over.
Yeah they are rats in every situation. Super arrogant and ego driven.
11:44 Peter calling Theo, Peter.
This is a well-developed business with growth potential. At more than 2M in revenue, these two undervalued the business. That's why they got so many offers.
Amazing
Thumbnail looked like a photo from the early 90s of Peter taking a drag on a cigarette casually.
Both partners have good business acumen an cool level head for business. They will succeed..
Still my favourite pitch in DD history.
Does anyone kno how that company is getting on? Great vido
Jenny: I do believe that the instant mashed potato market can be challenged if you put a fully cooked potato in a bag and label it 'to be mashed.'
And for that reason, I'm out.
They were only suppose to get 25k back. But they got fooled to return 100k.
So they end up giving up 15% equity for nothing 😕
If you look into the company, they didn't go ahead with The Dragons in the end and also there's no sign of Wesley Downham.
Search his name on Google to find his public Linkedin. Seems to me he has a lot of money.
That was a banging deal!!!
... which never actually took place after the cameras stopped rolling.
Peter is clever and waits for the other dragons opinions and offers then gets in at the last minute.
Jenny : “everybody else is in , and for that reason , I’m out “
Watching one of these without eating. That's a first.
The subtitle says "Theo Perfetus" 😅🤣
God Bless BBC & Dragons Den team for these videos.
That was inspiring
Descriptions wrong they asking for 75k not 70k. Tsk tsk
They got a great deal!
Are they still doing this or is the video old?
Notice at the end where the announcer speaks, not to the camera or the viewer, but a little bit off. As if he's talking to something off screen that is notably taller than he is.
Who are his masters? Where was this filmed? The question is the dilemma; the answer, a curse.
Wow! 👍 👌
Our unique selling point is that we are unique.... so I was left waiting but they never said what was unique about them.
