- Evita and Michael really enjoy incorporating figures from other partnered dances into their swing dancing. In this video lesson they put a fun ending on an intermediate/advanced move - the Pop Turn.
We think this figure is already a challenging move, but if you're looking to add some spice to your Pop Turn, this is a great one for you!

I remember you two teaching that in Henley UK many years ago. Took a while but I got it. Very nice move.
And it's kind of a mix between a tango ocho (figure of eight) movement and a gyro (pronounced 'hero') really. In the gyro the lead sends the follow around clockwise or anti-clockwise with those behind-front steps.
WOW this is fantastic material! I've always loved the grapevine. Now I have something new to torment my follow with :))
Brilliant sequence, so well taught that I learned the transition to and from the grapevine well enough to apply to the variations. Thanks so much!
It's just amazing, how you describe every small detail. It just helps so much. Thank you guys❤
yes! A molinete (in tango) that is a grapevine in a circle. We do it in Foxtrot as well.
Wow. This is awesome
I think that's a giro in tango. Lovely move.
