This movie came out at the most fun part of my life (so far at least) and I have a lot of memories tied to both the original version of this song and this one. I've partied to the original. I've cried to this version. Thank you Skrillex and Cliff Martinez for defining those few years for me
"i think we found ourselves here... ...i'll always remember this trip."
@@Corallus_Caninus I'll give you one guess
man this movie was full of fake deep quotes
they said as they were in prison lol
Finding themselves in fucken FLORIDA! Yeah, right! 😂
People need to stop getting their panties in a twist, this is a beautiful rendition of the song.
thehappycactus thank you.
The ending was definitely my favorite part of the movie (tied with the Britney Spears montage).
This is my song to walking down my wedding aisle! :)
Eat some mushrooms, and give it another listen.
Bet you'll love it :)
There is no "meant to" on the song scary monsters, this isn't some lame remix it's a beautifully composed rendition of the original song.
The scene which features this part of the soundtrack was so beautiful.. It was sort of heartbreaking, but at the same time, you just knew nothing else could have happened instead..
I love this soundtrack, it's so beautiful ! I'm really infatuated with this chilly style !
The end of this most be a sample of the drive soundtrack! Sounds exactly like it!
SPRING BREAK FOREVER!
Sounds amazing
Exactly, it's just the pinneacle of the girl's depravity and the fact that they learned little to nothing from the experience.
they learned that spring break isn't forever and that in the end you have to go home to reality and there's better things to live for in life like being with your family
@@madhatten00 maybe. All we see is them staring off into the horizon.
@@funalienguy2973 I think they have to had gotten life in prison.
sa me fait trop de la peine cette music
I feel like this film has a very very deep meaning within but i just could not be able to understand it through the years.
its mostly about how young people idolize pop culture vs the reality of what it actually is. that is why this film feels more like a dream than an actual reality. but when the girls are confronted by reality, they leave and go back home (for example, selena gomez’s character).
@@thesinistervoid4311 what about the other two girls are just muderous. And what happens to them ? I know they must get life or something in prison m
It's "Peter Pan" for the current era: A group of kids ("youth" extending farther now than it did in the past) escaping to a Neverland where they can live out their deepest, wildest fantasies (substitute playing pirates and Indians with gangsters and criminals, and add the rampant post-pubescent obsession with sex and sensuality), guided by a Peter Pan-esque embodiment of the world they now find themselves in.
Wonderful film.
A dreamlike montage of the vacuousness of late stage consumer capitalist pop culture, and commentary on a society whose media seems to be on a treadmill seeking more extreme stimulation. All of this informs reality leading to a secularized society with subversion of human dignity and societal ties to an increasingly hypernormalized reality in which even things like life and death are no longer taken seriously. The way all of it is shot is strangely spiritual, yet the subject-matter is extremely bleak. Selena Gonez’s character is named Faith, and she is the character who seems to believe in God and something greater than the present. Bridges in the movie seem to represent going deeper down the rabbit hole of internalizing and normalizing vice. She crosses back over the bridge, and back to “reality” by choice when she sees the absolute terror of Spring Break. The others are too subverted, and they continue down the rabbit hole. As they fully lose their souls to Spring Break, they find absolute freedom in their sin.
Korine’s films usually work on the same emotional theme, which is characters in bleak circumstances who are in a strange way both entirely hopelessly byproducts of their environment, and yet simultaneously “free” in some way the average person never will be…leading to the question of what is freedom?
To me, the whole movie is about the tragic, yet fleeting beauty in the nihilistic pleasure-seeking behaviors of modern society, and this version which highlights the beautiful emotional undertones of this particular song - the soundtrack to many college students getting trashed and vomiting - was a perfect choice. Remember Korine himself has a strong interest in media, and blew out his pleasure receptors very young seeking “freedom” from the ennui of his traditional, wealthy, suburbanite upbringing in Darien, Connecticut and is lucky to be alive after very extreme drug abuse. All of this was undoubtedly influenced by media portrayals and a desire for excitement more than the mundane, safe reality such an upbringing provides. I see this movie as an ode to the pleasure that was once felt, the lifelong subsequent desire to have had it last forever, but also a warning to the world the freedom found in these illusions is not as it is portrayed, not permanent and is destructive to the soul and greater society.
I'd kill for a MIDI of this.
I IN LOVE WITH THE YONGYUTH
